Amazing
HHanzo HattoriMy recent stay at the Mandarin Oriental Muscat was overall enjoyable, with several notable highlights. The hotel’s location near the beachfront is fantastic, offering stunning views of Muscat and the surrounding mountains. The interiors are beautifully designed, featuring natural materials that create a luxurious and calming atmosphere.
The rooms were ultra-comfortable, with excellent beds and top-quality linens that made for a great night’s sleep. I also appreciated the thoughtful in-room amenities, including good tea, a Nespresso machine, and water in glass bottles—a healthy and eco-friendly touch.
The shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner provided were of great quality, and the dental kits were decent. However, I did notice that some toothpaste tubes weren’t fresh, as the paste had become solid and dry in a few sets. Additionally, the shaving kit was of the cheapest level, which didn’t align with the otherwise high standards of the hotel.
Breakfast was good but not quite up to the level typically expected from Mandarin Oriental. There’s definitely room for improvement here, but I believe this is something the hotel will refine over time. The staff were polite and professional, which added to the overall positive experience.
Considering the hotel is still new, I’d rate the overall experience, including the price/value ratio, as 3.5 out of 5. I’m confident that with time, the hotel will address these minor gaps and elevate the experience to match the impeccable standards the brand is known for.

However, the room was terrible. When I entered, the stale air met me — despite the air conditioner, I had a feeling, the room wasn't ventilated well enough. The one single window facing the wall and not providing a sunlight was not possible to open. The beds were really hard. Like, floor hard. In the bathroom there was smell from the sewer, stale air. In addition to all of that, there was a construction work nearby.
Perfect conditions for the prolonged heavy jet lag.
I would never give this hotel 4 stars.

ААрташесAloft Muscat is a great choice for a business trip — modern, fresh, and spotless. The rooms are compact but well-designed, everything you need for a comfortable night’s stay. The atmosphere is clean and minimalistic, with a contemporary touch typical of the Aloft brand. Staff are efficient, check-in is smooth, and it’s conveniently located for getting around Muscat. Perfect if you’re in town for work and want something simple, stylish, and reliable.

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay at the Radisson Collection in Muscat. From the moment we arrived, the reception team provided excellent service and made us feel very welcome.
During our stay, we visited Qureshi restaurant, where both the food and service were amazing. A special thanks to Ashwani, who gave us excellent recommendations that made the experience even better.
We also dined at Omny restaurant, where the chefs did a fantastic job preparing seafood exactly as per our request. The staff, especially Sonia and Amir, were warm, attentive, and looked after us throughout the meal. We also appreciated the hospitality from the manager, Shiva, which made the experience even more memorable.
The only area that could be improved was the breakfast service. Unfortunately, the staff did not seem very engaged or friendly, even though the restaurant was not busy at the time.
Aside from breakfast, everything else about our stay—from the reception to the restaurants—was outstanding. We truly enjoyed our time at the Radisson Collection and look forward to returning in the future.

FFarah Binti RamliI had such a lovely stay at Sheraton Oman. From the moment I arrived, everything felt smooth and welcoming. One of my favorite things in the room was the coffee machine. I used it every day for my coffee break and absolutely loved it! The breakfast buffet was amazing, with so many options and everything tasting fresh and delicious. It was the perfect start to each day. The pool really stood out too - spacious, clean, and absolutely gorgeous. It was such a relaxing spot to unwind.
Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back again!

I extended my stay here two more weeks and Mr Nasser offered me a great package price. Everything here was nice and the breakfast buffet was amazing. A big mall could be reached through the underground hotel.
I am lucky to have selected this hotel for my first visit to the wonderful Oman 🇴🇲.

ははとしトリップFor some reason, the hotel's name is different in Japanese, but the correct name is ”Golden Tulip Muscat.”
It's about a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport, and less than 500 meters away are two large shopping malls, Oman Avenues Mall and Muscat Grand Mall.
However, there are so many cars whizzing by that it's impossible to walk. You'll need to take a taxi, although it's not a big deal.
The taxis were easy to call using Otaxi, as the location was easy to find. Access to Azaiba Bus Station, Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Matrazikh Mosque, and Old Muscat was also good.
The view from the elevator at the entrance is great. There is mold in the shower area of the room, but it's not a problem.

GGuest UserExcellent location - close to shops, eateries, minutes away from the airport bus. Great pool on the roof top with panoramic views. Breakfast is fine with hot food selections changing from day to day.
The staff, both at the reception and restaurant, was very accommodating and helpful. Thank you!
The room was spacious and the bathroom amenities were acceptable. One suggestion is to retire some of the old towels; some were frayed at the edges.
