"I checked into the hotel early. The room wasn't ready yet so I went and had breakfast. The international buffet spread was really good, and service from restaurant staff was 10/10 - they were attentive and made sure I had everything. A while later, the reception staff came to inform me personally that my room was ready, and they gave me a nice quiet room like I asked for. There was an accident during my stay, in which the security guard accidentally broke my photo frame which I had just purchased. The duty manager was super nice and had it sent for repair, and next day, I was able to get my photo frame before I flew home. The staff were so apologetic, and sent me some lovely sweets as well as a sincere, handwritten note. Altogether, I had a wonderful stay and will be back if I'm ever in the area."

GGuest UserThe yoga courses and Zimbabwe courses are not there but they will pretend that they are there.
I asked 4 times to get the schedules through email but that email never came . Be careful cause the security at swimming pool is just like a decoration cause everyone can enter without having the room card to the swimming pool area by just jumping in while some clients are entering. And maybe there is a collaboration with the staff because actually in such beggars clothes how can they pass unobservant even the main door of the reception of the hotel! They have strict policies about cancellation which normally all the other marriotts of the world have..specially with clients who have diamond and travel genius highest level as vip clients .they dont consider that they stayed the entire week 7 days and it can happen that the last day some unpredictable work thing can happen. The 24 /7 service is just a fake thing cause if you call at a normal 10 pm the person's who ll pick up the phone after a LONG wait they still make you wait for the next morning for the concerned person to come and ask. They say ”we ll call you back but that call never comes” .

Walking distance to the old gothic style buildings and gateway of India.
Rooms are a bit dated and the gym is very old and limited.
But the rooftop bar and pool are nice and breakfast was really good!
Would for sure stay here again in the future.

GGuest UserPlus point of this hotel is location and it’s opposite of Marine Drive and next to Mumbai Crickets stadium and staff are very supportive and room and bathroom are very clean only disadvantage is no restaurant and I ordered from outside hotel and Zomato and NO Parking available, I had to park in pay parked area near Church Gate station around 1km far from hotel , but if no car then very good hotel

GGuest UserThe hotel has great location. The view is to die for!The view is the best part of this hotel. But to be honest it has become little old. It’s furniture and rooms are not so impressive.
People and staff are nice but I would skip staying here again since it’s a 5 star property but doesn’t give that vibe.

GGuest UserLocation of property is the key USP of the Sun N Sand. This is one of the most iconic hotels in this belt and one of the oldest property with great retro Bollywood charm. Why I have called it average is as its not value for money. It is not upgraded to today’s standard but charges are same as many new hotels. There is construction going on and workers are there
Property needs a massive upgrade to stay selling at these competitive prices. Restaurant is also very expensive with less menu options

GGuest UserOverall a good experience. Amenities are there but you have to pay to play pool, snooker, sky hockey, etc..only steam room but no sauna room. Changing rooms are not very clean. Check out time is at 10am which is too early especially when they are serving breakfast till 10:30am. Shower in the room is not good as the water comes very slowly. Hair dryer provided is of poor quality. Mattress provided is spring mattress which not comfortable to sleep. Food and drink menu prices are unrealistic.

JJTSydneyLet me start by saying the description of the size of the room was misleading. It is described as a 30m2 room but what I got was not even half that size.
On the plus side, the hotel is really close to the Gateway of India right on the heart of Colabra. There are plenty of eating and shopping options.
On the minus side, the room was on the small side. There were not enough powers outlets but the few that were in the room were universal plugs. There was also no table to work from in the room. Last but most importantly, I think the room and facility did not justify the hefty price tag that came with it.
