"It's alright. There are many bars outside the hostel, and the streets are lively at night! I was startled by drunk people walking around. People who don't like nightlife might not enjoy this environment. The accommodations are generally okay… the common areas are quite cozy. Overall, I'm satisfied."

Pros: The hotel is great. Nice 24-hour gym, nice pool deck. Ice machine on each floor. The people and service are good. Everything is clean.  Cons: Elevators are super, super slow.  Towels smell, all of them every time they are changed.  Water pressure in the sink is so low that you can barely wash your hands or rinse a toothbrush. You have to use the bathtub faucet.  Tip: Be careful with the internet. It's free, but there is ”enhanced” internet for $5, which is probably easy to accidentally activate, then you get charged.

The room was quite spacious, though a bit dim, and the facilities and decor felt somewhat dated. That said, this is often the case for most hotels in the US at this price point. Despite these points, it was overall clean and presentable. The hotel seemed quite busy, and the breakfast selection was a bit limited and didn't really cater well to Chinese palates. The location, however, is a major plus; it's a short walk to the mall, and very convenient for dining out or ordering takeout.

Was fine. Room was excellent. Breakfast was ok not bad. Hotel has gym and pool I didn’t use though. The only bad thing is it’s right next to rail crossing and it’s always very noisy.

Resort positioning, Environment: There is a beach 🏖️ golf tennis and other facilities, suitable for staying for a few days to relax Sanitation: No major problems were found Service: Only stayed for one day, no surprises Facilities: This is a big problem. The old-fashioned air conditioner from the 1980s rumbled,,, the exhaust fan in the bathroom hummed,,,

The hotel is located on a peninsula, with the bay front and back, and the scenery is beautiful. It is a few kilometers away from downtown, so it is convenient to drive to shopping and eating. There is a parking lot downstairs for 30 knives a day. The front desk service attitude is very good, and the check-in is very fast. The room facilities are a bit old, and there is a small balcony with a sea view. The bathroom is generally clean, but a cockroach was found in the bathroom.

Great views and comfort, but watch out for extra charges! I recently stayed at the San Diego Marriott Marquis and Marina. While the hotel itself is very nice, I encountered an issue that significantly impacted my experience. Despite having booked and fully prepaid my stay through Trip.com, the hotel attempted to charge me an additional $45 per day plus tax for the so-called ”Destination Fee” at check-in. After contacting the hotel, they refunded the fee after multiple letters and two weeks. This seems to reflect a policy of charging the Destination Fee by default, regardless of whether it has already been prepaid through third-party booking platforms. I worry that many guests either don't notice the charge or aren't aware that it may already be included in their booking. That being said, breakfast at the hotel was delicious and the facilities are generally high-quality. If the billing issue hadn't occurred, my stay would have been much more enjoyable. Overall, it's a lovely hotel in a great location—but guests should carefully check their bill and be prepared to follow up if something doesn't add up!

A typical motel, traditional American breakfast, free parking! $ 50 deposit, cash is recommended, credit card refund has not been received for half a month! It's very close to Ocean Park, just 15 minutes by car to the aircraft carrier! There is a 711 supermarket across the road. It takes about 15-20 minutes to drive to the Chinese supermarket! Room was clean and overall good

I had a very frustrating experience at this hotel. They charge a $500 deposit, which, combined with my total bill of $1,000, exceeded my credit card limit of $1,300. As a result, I could only pay for 4 out of the 7 nights, totaling $790. My friend had to cover the remaining 3 nights, but his card was charged $1,600! The hotel’s receipt logic is very confusing; it’s unclear how much was charged to each card and what those amounts correspond to. After checking out on October 18, I was told my payment would be refunded, but as of today, November 2, I still haven’t received any notification regarding the refund. This has been an extremely disappointing and stressful experience. If you’re not concerned about high deposits and the potential for delays in refunds, you might feel comfortable staying here. Otherwise, I would recommend looking for a different hotel.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱. I stayed there for 2 weeks, working from home during the day, going out at night. Pros: - excellent value for the comfort and amenities at under $65/night - great desk & comfortable chair for laptop work - nice modern Philips large-screen TV you can connect to via HDMI - the Internet was ok (~10Mbps) but disconnected daily (reconnecting the WiFi restored it) - pretty quiet considering the proximity to the freeway: just white noise, haven't heard any revving or sirens - walls don't provide much sound insulation but I've heard only ONE neighbor conversation during my 2-week stay. It did help that I chose a room on the top floor, and next to the janitorial room (#522) - the wall-mounted A/C was surprisingly quiet, and heating worked fast - ventilation was okay if you keep the window open about 1ft - only saw 3 flying insects, and a crawling one in the shower - clean room, only found a few hair strands in the shower - mini-fridge was quiet and held a week's worth of food - great use of space: 4 large drawers, rack with clothes hangers, space for suitcases to be out of the way, 2 mirrors - the staff was very kind of provide a microwave, can opener, paper plates - pool was clean - two hot tubs were great, and MUCH cleaner than my friend's who stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott next door - coin-operated laundry on site ($2.50 + $2.50 W/D, $1.50 laundry soap) - nice landscaping and you could smell eucalyptus trees Neutral: - the pool/hot tub area closed at 10pm - there's nothing to do in the walkable area (just other hotels), but North Park is only a $10 Uber ride away, and the Fashion Mall is right across the freeway - construction in front of the lobby should be finished by the end of 2025 Cons: - gym was tiny and lacking: only 3 cardio machines (one elliptical that felt awkward) and one cable stations with fixed cable points; no free weights, towels, or watercooler cups
