JJasur MavlyanovWe recently enjoyed a 4-night stay at Mo Yan Homestay (莫颜·莫干山Villa环山溯溪美宿（庾村广场店)) with our two children. The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic, situated incredibly close to the hiking trails of Moganshan. The amenities are equally impressive, featuring a large outdoor pool, a rooftop barbecue area, and an additional ground-floor barbecue spot. There are plenty of cozy sitting areas both inside and around the hotel for relaxation.
For indoor entertainment, the hotel offers a spacious billiard table on the ground floor, as well as an arcade gaming set that our kids couldn’t get enough of. Speaking of the kids, they were thrilled with the children’s themed room we booked. The room’s balcony provided stunning views of the river, mountains, and lush bamboo forests that front the hotel.
But what truly sets Mo Yan Homestay apart are the hosts. They are among the best we’ve encountered in China, making us feel completely at home. This was our second trip to Moganshan, and thanks to the incredible hospitality at Mo Yan, it certainly won’t be our last. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you for your exceptional hospitality!

MM44209****I came to Moganshan for a spring outing. The location of the B&B is very good and convenient for travel. The B&B itself is very beautiful, with a large lawn and yard in front and back + a whole independent house. There are 6 rooms in total, but the public activity area is very large. The design is very attentive. The proprietress takes care of it herself. I drank local tea and had a breakfast with B&B characteristics. The appearance and taste are both taken into account. It is a very good experience.

The location of Mo Yu Shan Ju is perfect. It is only an 8 to 10-minute walk from the bustling Yucun market town. It is extremely convenient for going out for food, strolling, or visiting surrounding attractions. However, it cleverly maintains a sense of independence and tranquility, as if it is a paradise away from the hustle and bustle.
The moment you step into the villa, the clean and tidy environment instantly catches your eye. Every detail has been carefully taken care of, just right, making people feel particularly comfortable. The billiard room, karaoke room and chess and card room on the basement floor added endless fun to our journey and allowed us to spend many happy times in the villa.
However, what touched me most was the enthusiasm and kindness of the landlord couple. While traveling, my tire suddenly got a flat. It happened to be Chinese New Year and all the repair shops were closed. I was getting extremely anxious when my landlord, Mr. Yao, offered to help me. With his skillful hands-on ability and superb techniques, he helped me find the leak and repaired the tire, solving my urgent problem at the end of the year. What is even more touching is that Boss Yao resolutely refused to accept any compensation. I was deeply moved by this selfless help.
At Moyu Mountain Residence, I not only enjoyed comfortable accommodation, but also felt the warmth and care of family. This is not just a place to stay, but also a home full of warmth. Next time I come to Moganshan, I will definitely choose here again!

AAlexRJSuperb stay, in a perfect location amidst a bamboo forest, far from the crowds and making you feel fully relaxed and comfortable. The vibe at the house is super cozy, the place is extremely clean and beautifully decorated, with warm colors and a home-vibe all around. Ernest and his team were super supportive since the first moment of the reservation and assisted us immediately through WeChat if any question. We also enjoyed their exquisite Chinese local dinner set; it was tasty and fresh! The breakfast is also very delicious. Finally, the bedroom was really amazing, with one of the best views I’ve had in a countryside hotel by far; just spectacular to relax and get a perfect getaway from the city. We will definitely come back and recommend it to our friends. Thanks for all Ernest!!!

PPinkGirlExtremely sweet staff who are extremely friendly and welcoming. The check-in process was quick and swift. We got there after 8 pm on a Friday night and the front desk was available and waiting for us. They allowed night swimming and had great a spacious Karaoke facility. This hotel /BnB is pet friendly and so our 2 fur kids were not discriminated against and was treated with a great care. Jinx is the girl at the front desk and she is very kind, always going the extra mile for us, even sending us locations and attractions close by on wechat. They provided us with a DIY barbecue on Saturday night and allowed us to have a party till quite
If I could suggest a few things it would be:
1. The cats in the cat enclosure have not had their space cleaned in weeks. There are feces and spider webs inside the 'space'. The cats never come out and look very unhappy. Please can they be better taken care of.
2. Rooms can be swept and cleaned daily.
3. Breakfast can be less dough based but some more fruit and healthier food options.
Overall, we would definitely visit again and really enjoyed such a warm environment.

GGuest UserGood for taking beautiful photos for the social media but rather poor user experience. Aesthetics of this place are good, some corners are really charming. Still it is the comfort that we value the most in a hotel as well as the quality service and unfortunately they are not at the same level of the aesthetics.
The room is huge but there is no sofa or chairs to sit and chat comfortably, just the two enormous heavy armchairs in the opposite corners of this long room. No mini bar/fridge, very poor lighting at the wash basin, impossible to do makeup. Zero privacy in the wc and shower since there are no actual doors there, just some short saloon style doors hanging in the middle, letting out the water from the shower and odors from the toilet. No hangers for the towels. No bathrobes provided which is strange for the hotel who’s main entertainment facility is the outdoor pool.
At the outdoor pool there are very few deck chairs and no umbrellas at all.
The communication was poor, mostly over wechat, since the staff speaks basically no English. We have asked twice, in advance, about the vegetarian option for breakfast and still they brought us meat in the breakfast set (only Chinese style food is available). Altogether the experience was rather disappointing. Glad to have booked just one night there.
As for the surroundings, there is no access to the bamboo forest behind the hotel or across the road. And beware of the aggressive unleashed dogs in the village across the road if you decide to go for a stroll near the hotel.

PP CurrallUpon arrival we were warmly greeted as we parked our car in front of the hotel. The level of service continued to be extremely warm and friendly to the point of departure when they checked the road for us to leave. The location rating is more subjective. It’s very convenient as a base to explore Moganshan and doesn’t have the access complications of staying up on top of the mountain or the hustle and bustle of being in the town which gets a lot of traffic congestion. We enjoyed the seclusion and having a car it was ideal. The room was cosy with a good AC, quality accessories and a reasonable view, all appropriate for a 4 star hotel. We really liked the living and lounging areas around the grounds, where you can relax and read in seclusion. The swimming pool was perfect. Breakfast was a set menu and acceptable. Overall we felt very comfortable and would gladly return. Big thanks to the staff who did everything to make our stay pleasurable.

WWutongxiyangThe service here is quite unique. At first, it didn't feel as warmly welcoming as a Four Seasons, Aman, or Banyan Tree. However, after staying for two days, the responsiveness was excellent, and it actually felt more in line with the Naked Stables' vibe, helping us connect more with nature. Keira also upgraded us to a treehouse villa, which had barbecue facilities and a kitchen, making it perfect for families with multiple children. The spacious activity area made our vacation even more relaxing. Room service was good, and the timing was fine. The organic vegetable salad for breakfast was great, and the bread was baked in-house. Compared to other hotels in the same price range, the breakfast at Banyan Tree is quite underwhelming. The hotel offers a wide range of activities, including archery, horseback riding, off-roading, and hiking. We also visited Naked Castle, which was very photogenic and suitable for younger people, and great for escaping the summer heat. All in all, it was a perfect vacation. The only minor issue was the air conditioner noise from under the villa, which is a common problem with this type of product. Hotels like Chuanyu, Shaoxing An, Sanya Banyan Tree, and Yangzhou Slender West Lake Resort all have similar issues. It's difficult to rectify, as the air conditioning units need to be placed in a public area or on a separate foundation during the hotel's construction to avoid vibration and noise problems.

LLloydTThis is an older style hotel in a perfect location at the top of the mountain. We arrived on a cold evening during Spring Festival and walked at dusk up a steep path past two abandoned heritage buildings, then back via the road. The next morning a brisk walk to the sunrise viewing platform. Food at the restaurant was adequate. Have to smile at the shower recess, where a common error has been made: the short vertical handle should be inside, the longer horizontal handle should be outside to hold a towel, easy to reverse :-). Big surprise was that traffic on the mountain top is via an anticlockwise loop. When we left we started down the wrong way, and our navigator flipped between saying wrong way then right way. We phoned hotel reception and they didn’t seem to know. Eventually we reached an intersection where police sent us back the other way. Really surprising because there are traffic signs and speed signs as if the road is two-way, and we only saw one no entry sign, where our navigator tried to send us up the mountain on arrival, against the traffic flow. Oh well, just gotta concentrate. Moganshan is a great place to visit.
