"The hotel is incredibly close to the train station, making it super convenient for getting around. The front desk service was generally satisfactory. It's also great for easily exploring the surrounding area on foot and is very close to the Lu Xun Memorial Hall. The room itself was a bit more spacious than typical Japanese hotel rooms."

"The hotel boasts an excellent central location, right next to the vibrant morning market and Senjiro. DHC brand toiletries were provided, which was a nice touch. It's conveniently located a 6-8 minute walk from the train station, with numerous bus stops easily accessible. The only minor drawback is that it's an older hotel that has undergone renovations, so while refreshed, some of the interior furnishings still show their age."

Amazing
OOliveycWe came to Akiu mainly to see Lu Xun's former residence, but the hotel itself was also great. Although there wasn't much of a view outside the window, Akiu Great Falls is just a short drive away. The front desk gave me a room on the top floor. The food, especially, deserves a special mention. My boyfriend ate 6 plates of the freshly grilled beef tongue, but he was still outdone by the Japanese gentleman next to us – I counted, he had 7 plates! I won't post other pictures as I see everyone else has posted plenty; I'll just share one of the massage chair. You can enjoy the view while getting a massage. It's very quiet during the day, and you can use it as much as you like without needing coins, which is much more generous than many other hotels. The parking lot is also spacious, so there's no need to worry about not finding a spot if you return late.

Great
MmayjayleoThis is genuinely the cleanest hotel I've stayed at in Japan in recent years. Aside from a bit of dust on the outside of the mini-fridge (which absolutely wouldn't affect your use; I just have a habit of wiping everything down inside and out before using it), every other part of the room was spotless. Although the check-in time was quite strict, strictly 3 PM, seeing such a clean room made it understandable. I've stayed in much more expensive star-rated hotels in Tokyo, Osaka, and Yokohama, but none of them were this clean.
JJoyee LaiFrom the moment we entered the hotel, the atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing. We were warmly welcomed with a Nespresso coffee machine available as a welcome drink, which was a very nice touch.
The room was slightly more spacious than most hotels in Japan, beautifully designed, and very clean—making our stay comfortable from the start.
During our stay, we experienced the Aomori earthquake. We could clearly feel the shaking, and our phones received emergency alerts, so we quickly evacuated using the outdoor emergency stairs. When we reached the lobby, a staff member named 佐藤 (Sato) was already there, calmly reassuring guests. He noticed a lady who had run out barefoot and quietly brought her a pair of slippers without making a scene—such a thoughtful gesture.
Mr. Sato was friendly and attentive during check-in, and during the earthquake he remained calm, clear, and informative. His professionalism and kindness left a deep impression on us.
Overall, a wonderful stay with excellent service and genuine care for guests. Highly recommended.
MM319130****Very close to Sendai Asaichi Market, convenient transportation. They even offered a SEKKISEI skincare set! It's also near a famous local grilled beef tongue restaurant, so I got to try Sendai's specialty. Plus, I bought Yamagata pears at the market.
GGuest UserThe location is fanastic. It is close to Sendai JR Station, Sendai Morning Market and shopping streets. It is especially important given we have 2 ninety-year-old ladies in our group.
Breakfast was great. The dining hall was of Art Deco design. It had a mixture of western and Japanese dishes. The amount was plentiful and quality was good.
The onsen was free. There were jacuzzi and old water bath. It is pity that there was no open air bath.
We would consider a return if we happen to come back to Sendai.
GGuest UserMy stay at the hotel was decent. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable enough. The staff was generally polite, but I felt they could have been more attentive. The location was convenient, and the breakfast was satisfactory. Overall, it was a standard experience without any standout features.
LLIANGLlANGThe vending machine doesn't accept new banknotes yet, so I had to ask the cleaning lady for old ones. Every time I go to do laundry, I have to walk through the lobby, basically shamelessly in my slippers and pajamas. I wish the laundry room was on the second floor. The currency exchange machine should be near the laundry room, but I couldn't find it and frankly, I was too lazy to look (=TェT=). I also couldn't find a dry cleaning bag in the room; it would be great if one could be provided for every guest.
TTaiwan No 1The hotel is in an excellent location, right on the Meikakucho shopping street. There are many shops nearby and a lot of food options. If you want to buy various souvenirs or duty-free goods, this hotel is the first choice!
Although the room is small and it is a little inconvenient for travelers with large luggage, the cleanliness of the room is acceptable. There is a 24-hour coffee service at the check-in counter on the second floor. The service staff is very friendly. The room rate is cheap for a Saturday holiday. Overall, it is a satisfactory accommodation experience and worth recommending!
KKent777Great location, close to Sendai station and shopping streets.
The hotel is a little bit on the older side but is clean and tidy. Breakfast is decent for this price range. Hotel staff was very friendly. Overall I would recommend this hotel.
GGuest UserIt is a rather old hotel with facility in rather poor condition (e.g. wall paper in the room ripped off, bed is too soft and unbalanced). However, it is very good for value in terms of price, breakfast and it has a public bath.
