"I had a wonderful stay at Ryokan Tsukasa in Sendai. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel at home right away. My room was beautifully designed in the style of a traditional Japanese house, and I had the unique experience of sleeping on the floor like a true Japanese. I also loved wearing the traditional robe provided in the room — it added an authentic touch to the stay. Everything was perfect, and I would highly recommend this ryokan to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience in Sendai!"

It offers free pick-up shuttles from JR Sendai Station, a 30-minute ride away. Free Wi-Fi is provided in the public area. Fitted with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and a relaxing ambiance, each room comes with a low table, a flat-screen TV and a fridge. Guests can try on yukata robes and sip green tea, made with electric kettle and tea bags. A bath tub and toiletries are included in the private bathroom. While staying at New Mitoya Hotel, guests can work out at the pool, or unwind in the hot spring baths, both indoor and outdoor. A free internet PC is provided in the lobby. Karaoke lounge is open at night for guests’ entertainment, and the on-site gift shop is available. There is a small art gallery displaying historic pots and tableware. The property is a 10-minute drive from Senda-minami Interchange on Tohoku Expressway. Kougei-no-sato is a 15-minute walk away, and Akiho Resort Forest Sports Park is within a 10-minute walk. Dining Restaurant Iwashimizu offers a lavish breakfast buffet featuring Western and Japanese dishes. Tou-en serves ramen noodles, and Ume-no-sato provides delicately prepared traditional Japanese meals.
"This was a last-minute trip to Tohoku and Hokkaido. Since I was staying in Sendai for the last few days and wanted to enjoy breakfast, dinner, and onsen (hot springs) at a nearby hotel, I decided to visit Akiu Onsen, which I hadn't been to before. The hotel thoughtfully provided a shuttle bus between Sendai Station and the hotel, which was very convenient. The front desk service was excellent. The onsen area was large, and the dinner was very good (including any extra meals I purchased). The breakfast was relatively disappointing; there weren't any particularly appealing dishes, and the quality was just average. Although I always chose to bathe and soak in the public bath, I also used the bathroom in my room, and my family members weren't used to going to the public bath. However, the problem was that even when I adjusted the temperature to over 50 degrees Celsius, the water temperature in the room's bathroom was only between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius, and adjusting it further didn't change anything. I wonder if there's something wrong with that. In conclusion, for a hotel with a normal temperature, I believe there are other better options in the Akiu Onsen area."
