AAnonymous UserThis stay was quite different from my previous experience. I remember that when I requested extra blankets before, they were delivered promptly. However, this time I was told that no extra blankets could be provided, which was quite disappointing as I’m used to having one for myself.
I’m also quite conscious about my weight, and during my last stay, the room included a weighing scale. Unfortunately, this was not provided this time, which felt rather inconvenient.
Additionally, I noticed that the hotel opposite, Ano Hotel, seemed quite busy with many cars parked and guests waiting to check in. I will most likely consider giving it a try on my next visit.
GGuest UserThe hotel has aged a lot including In-room safe could only be set by maintenance so they know your number, despite making a few requests, they could not/ would not change the safe. Only reason i will stay here is due to its location.
GGuest UserThe staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious, and the hotel’s location was very convenient—just about 200 metres from the Miri Marathon starting point. My car was also parked safely in a convenient location.

GGuest UserOverall, the stay itself was comfortable, and the room met expectations. The hotel's aesthetic is elegant and beautiful, and its location is convenient, surrounded by chinese restaurants within easy walking distance. The breakfast buffet was also good and enjoyable. However, the experience was unfortunately dampened by issues at the front desk, hygiene standards in the common areas, and soundproofing. We arrived around 10am and requested an early check-in, fully understanding that the standard check-in time is 2pm and that any earlier arrangement is subject to room availability and discretion. However, we were told by staff that early check-in would only be possible with an additional charge of RM160. This created an uncomfortable impression where it felt less like a matter of room availability and more like withholding an available room in order to impose extra charges. The tone suggests monetising convenience which we weren't particularly happy about.
After checked-in around 5pm. we noticed dirty plates on the floor left near the lift area. What was more concerning was that these plates were still there in the same spot the next morning when we checked out. This raised questions about cleanliness and hygiene, especially in shared spaces. In addition, the soundproofing could be improved. Noise from children crying near the lift was clearly audible, and due to the hotel's proximity to the airport, airplane noise could also be heard. This may be a concern for light sleepers or guests seeking a quieter stay.
While the room and overall stay were generally good, these experiences affected our impression.
GGuest UserThis is my second time visit Pacific Orient. As expected, the is nice and clean. Check in and check out is fast and easy. I got my room facing the Bintang mall building and it was fantastic. Here, parking space is limited. So whoever wants to park their car, better come early or make early reservation. The morning breakfast was simple. Not much they can offer. After all, don't expected too much since room rates offered was less than 100 ringgit.
Definitely will stay here again if had a chance to visit Miri.
GGuest UserAsked for early check in at 11am. The staffs are nice, except for the lacking in terms of towels, soap and shampoo, the location is very strategic. Walkable distance to Miri Times Square and Waterfront.
GGuest UserIt was a 1hr drive from Miri city to the resort. The condition of Miri-Bintulu road was very challenging as its under major maintenance. We basically on 50km/hr. The resort is a good place for family get together esp when we have limited access to the internet & calls. There are a lot of physical activities you can do there in a group or solo. The resort tour included in the stay is a great exposure for kids to understand rainforest eco system.
