"This is a wonderful hotel right on a pristine beach. We stayed in a bungalow, and I highly recommend choosing that option if you can. It's only about 30 meters from your bungalow door to the beach! They provide sun loungers, bean bags, and umbrellas, which is super convenient and all included in the stay. The hotel also provides beach towels, and there are always plenty of free spots on the beach, it's never too crowded. There's a bar with live music in the evenings until 11 PM. You can hear it from the bungalow, but it's mellow and not at all disruptive; in fact, it adds to the cozy atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly, always smiling and helpful. Breakfast is good, with some local dishes as well as familiar items like eggs, omelets, sausages, salad, vegetables, and one type of fruit each day (which changes). If you want to add something special, there's a 7-Eleven about 7 minutes away with lots of tasty treats. Along the coastline, there are various restaurants and bars with affordable prices, so finding lunch and dinner is easy. The sand is white, fine, and very soft, and the water is crystal clear. There's high tide in the morning and low tide in the evening, which might vary depending on the season. We absolutely loved it and are completely satisfied with everything. We highly recommend this hotel!"

DDNEThe stars of this hotel are the staff particularly the manager, Act, who could not be more helpful. She made everything about my stay easy and stress free. The hotel itself is just across the quiet island road from the beach. Here there is white sand and crystal clear water. To the left is the busier section with all the normal beach activities together with bars and restaurants. It is just a 15 min walk into town this way. To the right the beach is quieter. If you continue along the beach to the right you can follow the coast path which ‘hops’ from bay to bay making for a pleasant walk. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. You are supplied with everything you need including snacks, beach bag, wet bag, beach towel and beach mat. I had a wonderful stay at Green Bay and thoroughly recommend it.

CCooldayThe Samed Resorts group offers the guests a free boat shuttle service to Samed Island (even free car parking), which I find very convenient. The staff helped us loading the baggage to the boat and from the boat to the hotel. Ban Ploy sea is located right next to the pier with a few minutes walk. The check-in went smoothly. The staff was so helpful and friendly. He even offered me an upgrade room with the sea front view for 2 nights. The room was clean and comfy. At the back of the resort is a log house cafe, offering tasty cakes and fancy drinks. I feel really relaxed lying on a private beach. In the evening we were so lazy to go out, just had dinner at the hotel‘s restaurant every night. It was not cheap but everything was delicious. Overall, we are very satisfied. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserThe taxi from the pier cost 250 baht. The beach right in front of the hotel is fantastic, and the male attendant who manages the towels was really good – he's the reason I gave the last 100 baht as a tip. His enthusiasm also led us to book a night squid fishing trip for 9 people. However, all the staff here seem to have two different attitudes: one for Western guests and another for Chinese guests. While everyone else managed basic politeness, the female server in the restaurant (pictured in photo 2) was incredibly rude to us. This is my fifth time vacationing in Thailand, and I've also traveled to the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Mauritius, the Maldives, and Hamilton Island, but this is honestly the first time I've encountered a staff member so rude. She pointed her finger at me and loudly demanded that I push the water bottle from the middle of the table to against the wall. I was completely stunned. Upon check-in, they asked for 500 baht per night for an extra bed for our 6-year-old. Since the three of us could comfortably share the king-sized bed, we declined and only paid for the child's breakfast, which was 200 baht per day. One evening, we also encountered teenagers on the beach who were indiscriminately bullying kids playing there. I never even saw something like this in Australia, yet it happened on Koh Samet. Thankfully, my English speaking skills are decent, and after a big argument, he ended up yelling that he was going to call the police. Overall, I still wouldn't recommend booking a hotel here. The pricing attracts a certain type of clientele, and since there are many very cheap hotels nearby, the beach attracts all sorts of tourists.

GGuest UserUpon check-in, our family room had a dirty patch on the wall under the air conditioner and was located near the reception area. The room provided was not as cozy or inviting as it appeared in the photos, and it was quite small, with a very narrow walkway between the entrance and the beds. We managed to upgrade to a higher-category room on the spot for an additional fee. Breakfast is delivered to the room with two options to choose from, but the only place to eat is on the bed, which is quite inconvenient. Another drawback is the lack of foot-washing stations outside the rooms, meaning sand gets tracked in constantly. On the positive side, the location is excellent – just 10 steps from a beach with pristine white sand. The hotel also offers private sun loungers and has a cafe serving delicious iced coffee. I noticed the hotel features two premium rooms – two-story bungalows with direct sea views (as shown in some photos), but I couldn't find them listed on Trip.com.

GGuest UserService: First off, a huge shout-out to the service! Our trip was a bit rushed, and all the rooms were booked up. We originally wanted to stay for three nights, but the middle night was Valentine's Day, and it was so popular that we couldn't get a reservation. I thought it would be easy to find another hotel, but there was nothing available. A guy at the front desk named James was an absolute lifesaver! From the moment I asked him, he not only helped coordinate rooms at their own hotel but, more importantly, he continuously helped me contact other hotels and made reservations for us without hesitation. Otherwise, we would have been sleeping on the streets! There was also a lovely lady at the front desk who was incredibly helpful. A big thank you to both of them. Environment: I absolutely loved the hotel's environment! The beach is right there, connected to the hotel. It's not a sandy beach, but the best part is that you can go clamming and crabbing there – we found moon snails, bullseye snails, turret snails, and even various sea cucumbers and crabs! It's perfect for families with kids. Facilities: The hotel seems to have been newly renovated and it's done really well. Everything is very new, so there's no hesitation about staying here. The breakfast was also good. If we ever come back to Koh Samet, we will definitely choose to stay at this hotel again!

AAnonymous UserGreat location on Vongduan beach. Very spacious , clean bungalows; nice staff; amenitiesare basic but in line with other similar hotels in koh Samet. A reading light would be nice. They explain at check in that room cleaning has to be requested by hanging the sign, you might have to draw the cleaners attention then they will clean the room. Breakfast is ok, mostly Thai options ; a couple of sweets and more choice of fruit would be nice. The only real minus is the rock hard bed, same as sleeping on the floor. They should not allow boats to land at the beach among swimmers, there is a jetty few meters away... better arrange a porter service for those who don't want to carry their bags.

大龙哥JoeyI love Pavillion resort at Ao Phai beach in Samed. Great breakfast, friendly staff, nice pool. The only downside was I found it difficult to get the shower at a good temperature, either too hot or too cold. Despite this, I would visit again!

GGuest UserLa Lune on Koh Samet... it was alright, but nothing to rave about. When we entered the room, it wasn't cleaned well – there was sand on the floor and even in the bed, which made sleeping quite uncomfortable. The pool, however, was really good, but room service barely worked, and breakfast was just so-so. The beach, though, was absolutely beautiful, with plenty of space and sun loungers, so that made up for some of it. Overall: okay, but it could easily have been better. 🌴✨

GGuest UserThe most important thing about this place is its owner. Alex is a wonderful and friendly local islander. He truly puts his heart into what he does and does everything possible to make your stay as comfortable as it can be. Have a problem? Just talk to Alex and he’ll do his best to help. Need advice? Ask Alex! I think the main idea is clear As for the place itself, it’s calm and quiet, yet close to the central part of the island where all the main shops are located. The beach is a 3-minute walk away, another one is about 5 minutes away — everything is nearby. The hotel has its own bar and a private area, peaceful and relaxing. The main issue is mosquitoes, but that’s not really the hotel’s fault — after all, there’s nature right behind the fence, and a very unusual one at that. We even saw a giant stick insect on the property for the first time ever, lol 🙂 The bungalow has all the basic essentials: a bed, air conditioning, a toilet, a shower, and a kettle. It might be nice to have a wardrobe or some storage for clothes, but that’s just a small nitpick. If you’re not picky and don’t need five-star service, but appreciate a warm and genuine welcome, I can highly recommend this place! Thank you, Alex — if we ever come back to Samet, we’ll definitely stay with you again!
