Kira Baya (คีรา บายา) is a boutique resort inspired by Gauguin’s Tahiti, offering guests a liberating and immersive experience in nature, without constraints or boundaries.
Nestled in Koh Samed, the resort is designed to offer guests an immersive retreat where nature and comfort seamlessly blend. Kira Baya embraces a raw yet refined approach to island living—where woven textures, organic materials, and the rhythm of the ocean shape each moment. More than a retreat, it is an immersion into the soul of the island, offering a timeless escape that feels both grounding and liberating.
"First off, the environment is nice, and the staff are all very good, especially the one who helped us with the small boat for snorkeling.
Secondly, the pier is extremely far from the hotel, and there's no shuttle service – no pickup, no drop-off. A songthaew costs 500 Thai baht one way. There are no convenience stores nearby, so you're stuck at the hotel for all your food and drink, but the hotel food is really bad.
There wasn't enough conditioner in the room. I called the front desk, and they told me they didn't have any conditioner. How can a hotel costing over 2000 RMB a night not have conditioner???
Good environment, but service needs improvement."
Located in Koh Samet, Evelia Koh Samed is a great base to explore the city from.
"We stayed at the hotel for 11 nights. The room was beautiful, with white towels and fresh linens changed every other day. It had everything we needed: a bathrobe, slippers, and toiletries. The grounds were well-maintained and the room was spotless. I loved the unique aesthetic of the room, and the bathtub on the balcony created a romantic atmosphere, complemented by a pleasant view. It's a quiet, peaceful hotel with friendly staff always ready to help. The breakfasts were delicious, featuring freshly prepared eggs with bacon, sandwiches, yogurts, fruits, vegetables, and tasty pastries every day. There was also a new dish daily, like mini chicken skewers or soup. I really enjoyed the breakfasts; everything was cooked deliciously. The hotel is located a 3-minute walk from Tub Tim beach, which is a nice beach. There's also a shop and a few cafes nearby. I highly recommend this hotel, and thank the owners for their hospitality and for creating such a beautiful and clean atmosphere."
