"The hotel is average; there are better ones on the island (I have something to compare it to). The rooms are in need of renovation: peeling corners, mold... It's okay for 1-2 nights. But it has two good pools. Breakfast isn't bad; you won't go hungry."

"The hotel is quite new and located on the northernmost tip of Koh Samed.
Pros: New facilities, pleasant environment, good service. When I stepped on a sea urchin, the front desk staff helped me out immediately. The hotel has two swimming pools and isn't too crowded.
Cons: WiFi signal is poor. The shower water temperature control is an issue – it's either scorching hot or ice cold, with no in-between. The beach near the hotel has many sea urchins underwater and rough sand, making it less suitable for snorkeling than other beaches.
There's a place called Smile Samed right next to the hotel where you can rent motorbikes and paddleboards. Their food portions are generous and affordable, offering good value for money."

Amazing
GGuest UserThis was my second time here. The service was excellent, but there was an unpleasant experience when I was leaving. I had already paid for the fruit I ordered for the day at the restaurant the night before, but I was asked to pay again at checkout. The receptionist was quite loud, which made me unhappy. The fruit was only a few hundred baht, not much, but it upset me and affected my mood! I was also told I had to pay 150 baht for dry cleaning bags, which I don't understand. After talking to the receptionist, they said they wouldn't charge me… The first time I came in June, the service was much better. This time was a bit unpleasant, and there were so many mosquitoes! After two nights, my thighs and calves were covered in bites. However, my child loved it, especially the restaurant service, which was excellent. They even offered DIY ordering of meals: porridge and meat soup!
But anyway, it affected my mood all day. It wasn't about the amount of baht, but being asked to pay extra was very annoying!
I don't know if I'll go a third time. I'll think about it… but I'll stay at the hotel for two days anyway!
GGuest UserThe taxi from the pier cost 250 baht. The beach right in front of the hotel is fantastic, and the male attendant who manages the towels was really good – he's the reason I gave the last 100 baht as a tip. His enthusiasm also led us to book a night squid fishing trip for 9 people.
However, all the staff here seem to have two different attitudes: one for Western guests and another for Chinese guests. While everyone else managed basic politeness, the female server in the restaurant (pictured in photo 2) was incredibly rude to us. This is my fifth time vacationing in Thailand, and I've also traveled to the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Mauritius, the Maldives, and Hamilton Island, but this is honestly the first time I've encountered a staff member so rude. She pointed her finger at me and loudly demanded that I push the water bottle from the middle of the table to against the wall. I was completely stunned.
Upon check-in, they asked for 500 baht per night for an extra bed for our 6-year-old. Since the three of us could comfortably share the king-sized bed, we declined and only paid for the child's breakfast, which was 200 baht per day.
One evening, we also encountered teenagers on the beach who were indiscriminately bullying kids playing there. I never even saw something like this in Australia, yet it happened on Koh Samet. Thankfully, my English speaking skills are decent, and after a big argument, he ended up yelling that he was going to call the police.
Overall, I still wouldn't recommend booking a hotel here. The pricing attracts a certain type of clientele, and since there are many very cheap hotels nearby, the beach attracts all sorts of tourists.
GGuest UserI requested a twin room when booking, but they gave me a king room. I still liked the environment. It has a private beach, and the beach chairs are only for hotel guests. The sand on Koh Samet is very fine. However, the hotel has a major problem: the rooms are adjacent and incredibly poorly soundproofed. It was the first time I'd ever stayed in such a poorly soundproofed room; I could hear everyone talking next to me clearly, and I didn't sleep well all night. Also, the king rooms I stayed in for the first two nights were tiny! I eventually switched to a twin room, which was much more spacious. So choosing the right room is key.

MMiaomiaoflyThis hotel boasts an excellent location on Ao Phrao Beach, with its own private beach. There are only three hotels in this bay, and Ao Phrao Resort shares ownership with Le Vimarn Cottages & Spa. The middle hotel is independent, which means fewer people and a more secluded atmosphere. This area is much quieter compared to Diamond Beach. While Diamond Beach is lively with music, here you'll find more people quietly reading. The rooms are mostly individual bungalows, which is great. They're spacious and cool. You can borrow towels from the front desk for the beach chairs. The hotel restaurant offers stunning sunset views, but you'll need to book a table in advance to get a good spot. It's clean and hygienic, the rooms are cool, there's plenty of hot water, and it's very quiet – though you can't do much about the AC noise. Overall, it's fantastic. The only downside is the average food at the hotel restaurant, but you can't have everything.

GGuest UserThe room is spacious with a beautiful sea view and very clean. It’s perfect for large groups or families. The breakfast is delicious, clean, and quite good. I just wish they would fix the lighting at the vanity; it's a bit too dark to see when putting on makeup. During breakfast, there was one group of guests smoking in the dining area, but I informed the staff, who then told them, and they stopped immediately.
YYKT MikhailGreat location, a small cozy hotel with friendly staff and a delicious breakfast; the soup was particularly enjoyable. They also offer free bicycles and stand-up paddleboards (SUPs). Direct access to two beaches is a huge plus. Even though it was off-season, we were pleasantly surprised by the weather. The sea was a bit wavy, but still swimmable. The beaches were clean, and the white sand crunched delightfully underfoot. You can even get a massage right on the beach. Act, the front desk manager, was incredibly welcoming and friendly, always ready to assist, and even saw us off to our taxi. I wish the hotel continued success. P.S. My only suggestion would be to refresh the beach towels.
AAnonymous UserWe booked a two-bedroom bungalow for a family of two adults and two children. It's very comfortable, cleaned daily, and has good breakfasts. The sea and private beach are pristine. We stayed there for four nights and then headed to Pattaya. Samet and the Cliff Resort are definitely much better. But not for those looking for a party.
If you're looking for relaxation, clean sea, and peace, it's fine. If you're looking for clubs and nightlife, it's not.
MMBartlettLovely quiet spot at the end of the beach, staff were helpful and friendly, the cottages were large, spacious and clean. Breakfast was good, not masses of choice but enough.
JJonathan WallerNice little place right on the beach. Perfect for sunrise and clear water for swimming. It's the quiet end of the island but still plenty of places to eat and drink. Rooms are simple but comfortable. Good shower. Nice pool. Good breakfast. Attentive staff.
GGuest UserThe hotel is beautiful - decor, location, which is on the seafront (where you can eat dinner or the delicious breakfast they offer) with an amazing complement of staff. Everybody could not do enough to help and made our stay an entirely enjoyable one. We *will* be back.
