Gyeongju Hostels

I hate to give a bad review but this staff member was probably the worst I ever came across. Be aware the check in is 10pm - much later than others. The room itself was fine, very happy and wanted to extend, but the staff member insisted checking out, then coming back at 10pm, even with extension. When I asked him, he said “it’s not my business”. Terrible attitude. He then tried to charge 20,000 cash for keeping the “free upgrade” I was given. No idea why you give with one hand and take with the other. Had to complain and argue and even still they refused refund for second day. Took me 3 hours or messaging to get money back. Just avoid. Sadly a great place, location so so but the staff member we dealt with was the worst person I’ve met in Korea.

The accommodation was great. It was clean and looked new. The lobby was decorated very cutely; I loved it. Inside the room, the bed was a mattress type, but it was comfortable. However, the floor heater seemed a bit too hot. The bathroom had separate wet and dry zones, which was very good.

Couldn’t have asked for a better location. It’s within walking distance to everywhere in the historic district. And restaurants nearby not to mention a famous bakery with perpetual queue, so you could go in order go relax in your room and return to pick up your order lol. Bathroom was big and clean.

First of all, the location is right near the bus stop, making it easy to get around. It's so convenient and nice to have convenience stores (CU, GS, 7-Eleven) and a McDonald's nearby. The facilities are great too; the basement has massage chairs, PCs, foot massagers, a Nintendo, cookies, drinks... and the ramen machine was especially fantastic. Face masks were available in the lobby for guests to take, so I did one every day. It was also nice that you could take as much bottled water as you needed. You can watch Netflix and YouTube, and we had a very comfortable stay!!! My child loved it too~

Clean & comfortable. Very spacious bathroom with a bathtub. The 6th floor room offers a fantastic city view plus a message chair. About 8 minutes walk to the Intercity bus station & Express bus station. Nearby many bus stops. Closes to the central market where there are many easterlies. A warm & considerate young staff makes you feel at home. The very small reception area & lack of photos of the hotel exterior at a booking platform may make the outsiders overlook its high quality rooms.

I stayed for three nights and the ideal would have been to stay for longer as it takes awhile to become oriented to all the sites in the region surrounding Gyeongju. The hotel is among many others in a rather uninspiring part of town, yet close to the central transit bus stop and the inter-city bus station. About 20 minutes walk from the upscale, trendy restaurant area. A large modern suite with workspace and a comfortable bed but the treat was a massage chair - first time ever seen in a hotel room. On the other hand, the lights from all the gadgets distracts one's sleep, and could be masked. Frankly, the breakfast fate is repetitive and unimaginative. Skipped third morning to find healthier fare elsewhere.

The kindness of the couple boss. !! The smell of cigarettes kept coming up in the room and said it was difficult, so he immediately gave me a hearing machine. The location was good. Difficult to ignore the traces of time. The name is a hotel, but it is close to the motel condition.

The pool area was well-maintained and perfect for relaxation, while the fitness center had everything needed for a good workout. The on-site restaurant served delicious food with a great variety of options, and the breakfast buffet was simply outstanding – fresh, diverse, and of high quality. The location of the hotel was also a huge plus. It was conveniently situated near major attractions, shops, and public transportation, making it easy to explore the city. Despite being in a central location, the hotel itself was quiet and peaceful, providing a perfect balance between accessibility and relaxation. What truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional service. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure guests had a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made my stay truly memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious, comfortable, and well-managed place to stay. I will definitely be returning on my next visit! This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel in six months, which speaks volumes. The owners are very friendly, the hotel is conveniently located, the rooms are clean, the sanitation facilities are well-maintained, and the water pressure for showering and washing is strong and the water temperature is consistent. This time, I discovered that the rooms also have underfloor heating (my last stay was in late July 2025).

It was very nice because it was close to the city center and the facilities were clean.
