Gyeongju Hostels

I hate to give a bad review but this staff member was probably the worst I ever came across. Be aware the check in is 10pm - much later than others. The room itself was fine, very happy and wanted to extend, but the staff member insisted checking out, then coming back at 10pm, even with extension. When I asked him, he said “it’s not my business”. Terrible attitude. He then tried to charge 20,000 cash for keeping the “free upgrade” I was given. No idea why you give with one hand and take with the other. Had to complain and argue and even still they refused refund for second day. Took me 3 hours or messaging to get money back. Just avoid. Sadly a great place, location so so but the staff member we dealt with was the worst person I’ve met in Korea.

Large spacious room, with comfortable bed, good Internet. Location was perfect to access attractions, bus stops, Restaurants and shops. Front counter staff were very friendly and helpful, giving baggage storage prior to check in. Cleaning staff did a great job and always smiling. Very clean refreshing hotel

Couldn’t have asked for a better location. It’s within walking distance to everywhere in the historic district. And restaurants nearby not to mention a famous bakery with perpetual queue, so you could go in order go relax in your room and return to pick up your order lol. Bathroom was big and clean.

Although the hotel is generally good with good services and facilities, in my case the room was extremely small for a double bed and the noise was unbearable because the air conditioning units were right on the floor below; at the very least, they should put in a window with better insulation from the outside.

Clean & comfortable. Very spacious bathroom with a bathtub. The 6th floor room offers a fantastic city view plus a message chair. About 8 minutes walk to the Intercity bus station & Express bus station. Nearby many bus stops. Closes to the central market where there are many easterlies. A warm & considerate young staff makes you feel at home. The very small reception area & lack of photos of the hotel exterior at a booking platform may make the outsiders overlook its high quality rooms.

The room is spacious, and the hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from the bus station. The room is equipped with a mini-fridge, dish sterilizer, hairdryer, personal toiletries, a Jacuzzi, and bathrobes. In the lobby on the 1st floor, there's a water cooler and a coffee machine. On the downside: • The decor is a bit dated – the wallpaper in the room is peeling, and the furniture is worn. • There's some kind of plastic mattress protector on the bed, which makes sleeping uncomfortable; the sheets stick to your skin, and the mattress rustles. • Only small towels are provided; there are no large ones. • A karaoke bar (noraebang) is located in the adjacent building, which can be noisy at night, especially on weekends. I recommend this hotel for short stays if the mentioned drawbacks aren't a deal-breaker for you.

Trash and hair greeted me as soon as I entered, but overall it was clean. The bathroom was clean, had a sunflower shower and no bathtub, so it was easy to use. There was shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There was disposable toothpaste, toothbrush, and hair dryer. There was a fan and air conditioner, but I didn't use the air conditioner because it didn't seem to be used yet. There were 2 canned drinks and 3 bottles of water in the fridge, and there were cup ramen and tea. I woke up to the sound of cleaning in the morning.. Gyeongju World is within walking distance. There are many trees, so there is plenty of shade on the way. If you really hate the heat, go by car.

Excellent Stay – Highly Recommended! I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel, and I can confidently say that it exceeded all my expectations. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep, and the housekeeping team did a fantastic job keeping everything clean and fresh throughout my stay. The view from my room was breathtaking, adding to the overall experience. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel’s facilities. The pool area was well-maintained and perfect for relaxation, while the fitness center had everything needed for a good workout. The on-site restaurant served delicious food with a great variety of options, and the breakfast buffet was simply outstanding – fresh, diverse, and of high quality. The location of the hotel was also a huge plus. It was conveniently situated near major attractions, shops, and public transportation, making it easy to explore the city. Despite being in a central location, the hotel itself was quiet and peaceful, providing a perfect balance between accessibility and relaxation. What truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional service. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure guests had a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made my stay truly memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious, comfortable, and well-managed place to stay. I will definitely be returning on my next visit! This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel in six months, which speaks volumes. The owners are very friendly, the hotel is conveniently located, the rooms are clean, the sanitation facilities are well-maintained, and the water pressure for showering and washing is strong and the water temperature is consistent. This time, I discovered that the rooms also have underfloor heating (my last stay was in late July 2025).

It was very nice because it was close to the city center and the facilities were clean.
