"Just stayed here again for the second time in a month. The staff’s kindness and convenience in location has made us come back and would want to come back again. The lady at the reception (Sorry i didn’t get your name) was so lovely and helpful. We were 10mins early and she had let us checkin and had tried to accommodate our requests. The room was actually way better than what we booked (did not expected the pull out bed but we’re so happy about it) but the bathroom was not cleaned that much. The sink drains so slow like it was a bit clogged and sometimes smelly. It was also dirty when we came in (sink). The circle thingy in the middle was broken too. We asked for our room the next day too and wasn’t cleaned that much. Breakfast is amazing and the staff there is very nice too."

"The apartment has an excellent view, small bedrooms with tiny bathrooms. Service was not pleasant, Grace was not very responsive, and stopped replying messages after we checked out. The front desk can not provide luggage storage because this is an Airbnb type of rental, and you need to walk 2 blocks to the office where Grace can store the luggage. If you are not looking for any help or service, this is not a bad deal. Otherwise, get a hotel room."

"The Docklands area is a bit far from the city center. However, being right above the Route 86 tram terminus means you don't have to worry about directions. The room had two queen-sized beds, which is rare to find in Melbourne. The cleanliness wasn't great though, especially the dirty carpet. They don't provide toothbrushes, combs, or slippers, so remember to bring your own. Also, the shower doesn't have a glass door, so you need to be careful when showering. The upside of this area is how quiet it is."

"1. The location is excellent, right by the river. It's convenient for walks, shopping, dining, or taking the tram to the city center. The Casino is also within walking distance.
2. The night view of the Yarra River from the room is beautiful (I recommend booking a river view room; city view rooms can be a bit noisy).
3. The room decor, with its natural wood and green plants, is cozy and elegant.
4. The gym offers great views, and the spa area is comfortable.
5. I didn't make it to breakfast, but my friends who did said it was rich and made-to-order (highly recommended). However, the room service I ordered was a bit disappointing (not recommended).
6. Finally, a big shout-out to Trip's customer service team for their prompt responses and effective communication, and a special thanks to Ms. Shan Yu from 1 Hotel for her assistance. This is definitely my top choice hotel in Melbourne."

Smooth check-in & check-out process; precheck-in option is a great feature, I saw it too late to utilise.
Air vents may need cleaning as it didn't feel as cool as expected, woke up a little sweaty but the humid morning could have been messing with temperature.
Air definitely flowing though as had to fiddle with the curtains to minimise slight bumping sounds it was making against the frame.
I appreciate the welcome letter, especially the clarification on the no smoking policy.
Environmentally conscious attention, always a plus!"

"The hotel only has five floors, and the balcony view is just another building across the street – nothing special. We stayed for five days, and two of those days we had no hot water. Coffee capsules also cost extra to replenish. If you want your room cleaned, you have to request it at the front desk; they don't do it proactively. The air conditioning had a strange smell. The transportation is decent, it's not far from the city center and there's a bus stop right outside. It's right next to a stadium, so I'd recommend it if you're attending a concert."

However, the front desk is not in the same place as the apartment and needs to be found, so it is best to know some English. "For Chinese travelers, having a hot water kettle is incredibly important. The one-bedroom apartment was very spacious, with plenty of room. The washing machine and dryer were a huge convenience, allowing us to pack lighter. The induction cooktop, oven, cookware, dishes, and dishwasher, combined with the large supermarket nearby, made cooking a joy. Australian beef and lamb are truly delicious! Laundry detergent, dishwasher powder, dishcloths, salt, and pepper were all provided, which was very helpful. The neighborhood is new, quiet, and close to both the beach and tram stops. It's also within the Free Tram Zone. The front desk staff were friendly and always happy to assist. This is an excellent choice for families with children."

the noise situation seriously affects the stay. There are several construction sites nearby, and work starts around 7 a.m. every day. The drilling and machinery noise is very loud, making it difficult to sleep in.
At night, the problem continues as car enthusiasts often race along the nearby roads, and the engine revving can be extremely disruptive."

Really clean and tidy room with almost everything. They even have rice cooker, first one I came across in Australia accommodation.
Adequate supply of dishwasher and cleaning detergent.
Reception was very nice, keep in touch via email prior to our stay. You can contact them by phone or WhatsApp and they will assist asap.
View was great. Parking was secure.
Cons:
Rooms a bit small for a 3 bedroom and comfortable for my children.
There's no daily room service, we have to clear all the rubbish ourselves and load the dishes in the dishwasher before we check out.
The staffs only available 9-6pm, so if there's late check in or out, better contact them beforehand.

I have been busy since returning from Australia, but I always remember that I owe the Melbourne Grand Hotel and its enthusiastic and responsible staff a five-point praise! I flew from Perth to Melbourne that day, took the skybus from the airport to the Southern Cross Station, and walked for ten minutes to the hotel early in the morning. I originally planned to store my suitcase and borrow the bathroom to wash and change clothes, and then went to the surrounding breakfast and sightseeing. The night shift was not off work yet, and the cleaning lady had just started work. They saw that I was tired and embarrassed, so they said that the room type I booked had just been checked out, and immediately arranged for cleaning work. I waited for about half an hour and checked in early. After going out and returning to the room, I also received a handwritten welcome message from the duty manager and very delicious chocolates, which was very thoughtful! Very heartwarming! This hotel is only separated from the Southern Cross Station by a road, and then you have to walk more than a hundred meters along the hotel house to the hotel front desk. The Southern Cross Station is close to the hotel. Woolworths is on this side of the hotel, and Coles is on the other side. The surrounding dining and shopping are quite convenient. You can walk to the Yarra River or the city center, and you can take the free tram a little further. The room is loft style, fully equipped with kitchen facilities, and very comfortable. This is my second time in Melbourne. This time I choose a better hotel than the last chain brand five-star hotel. I will stay here again if I have the chance to go to Melbourne in the future.

Guest UserLocation of the property was perfect. The building is well maintained. However I had a problem with the security deposit or Bond. The hotel said they refunded. But it was untrue. Next time pls allow cash security payment like most established operators do in this world. Somehow they kept spinning their stories. I lost my bond $.

Ronah WWe had a fantastic stay at the Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands. Everything about our experience was wonderful.
The highlight for us was definitely the pool. The water temperature was perfect—not too hot and not too cold—and our kids absolutely loved it. In fact, they didn’t want to get out! The view from the pool area was also amazing and made the experience even more special.
Breakfast was great with plenty of options, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. They made us feel very welcome and well looked after.
We will definitely stay here again in the future and have already recommended the hotel to our family and friends. A truly enjoyable stay!

The environment and location are very good, the facilities in the house are also complete, and the space is sufficient. The cleanliness of the house needs to be improved, the floor is dusty, and the bathtub is not clean and has stains. Shopping in the apartment is very convenient. There is a supermarket just two blocks away. I will consider this place again next time I travel. It feels like living at home.

It's a serviced apartment with basically no services. If you stay for a long time and prepare to cook your own food, you can. There are large supermarkets and Chinese supermarkets nearby. You can clean the bathroom yourself, wash the bath towels yourself, and there is a dishwasher and washing machine, which is also convenient.
