"We had a truly wonderful stay at Ittouan. The experience was exceptional from beginning to end. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. They noticed us from far away and immediately came to help carry our luggage. One of the staff members, a lovely young lady who spoke excellent English, was especially helpful and made communication very easy. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask her name, but I would like to thank her again. We booked both dinner and breakfast, and the meals were fantastic. The ingredients were very fresh and the variety was impressive. Every dish was different and beautifully prepared. However, for two women like us, the portions were honestly quite generous — even sharing one meal between two people might have been enough! The location is excellent. The hotel provides a free shuttle to Kawazu Station, which makes it extremely convenient for visiting the Kawazu cherry blossoms. It is also very close to the beautiful coastline, so the surroundings are lovely. Our room had a private onsen bath where we could soak while enjoying the view of cherry blossoms, which was a truly special experience. There is also a larger private bath available by reservation (free of charge). We also tried the hot stone spa, which was incredibly effective in relieving the fatigue after my marathon. Overall, it was a fantastic stay. I would love to come back again in the future, hopefully with my family.

"The hotel facilities are quite good; although it's an older hotel, it's clearly been recently renovated. The service was excellent. When we arrived at Izu-Atagawa Station, we hadn't arranged a pick-up with the hotel beforehand, but after a quick call, the front desk immediately sent a driver to get us. He arrived in about ten minutes, which was fantastic! I used the hotel's 11th-floor indoor hot spring and had it practically to myself every time; there was hardly anyone else there. The rooftop hot spring was noticeably more crowded, so I preferred the indoor one. We stayed in the annex, and as previous reviews mentioned, there are a few steps between the two buildings. This was a bit inconvenient for check-in and check-out when carrying luggage, but otherwise, it was fine. There's only one restaurant outside the hotel, but you can also order meals within the hotel, which is quite convenient. The scenery outside the hotel is also very beautiful. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay."

"Stayed from Oct 2-4. **Environment**: Right by the sea, you can see the ocean as soon as you open the curtains, with waves crashing against the rocks. The balcony is an excellent spot to watch the sunrise and sunset. The window insulation is superb; when you close the windows at night, you can't hear the sound of the waves at all. This hotel seems to be the closest to the sea on this street, and I absolutely loved the location. **Service**: The hotel offers a very convenient shuttle service to Inatori Station, with several departures to the train station daily. The shuttle is clean and tidy. **Dining**: The Japanese breakfast and dinner were very standard, exquisite, and abundant. The portions were so large that I couldn't finish any meal. **Hot Springs**: The public hot spring area has many different pools, each with a different temperature. There are complimentary cold drinks and ice water available at the entrance to the hot spring rooms. **Details**: Both the hotel rooms and public hot spring rooms provide facial cleansers and skincare products, all by POLA. There's also hair treatment oil available for use. Each room comes with complimentary snacks, and the 'Sakura Ebi no Mai' (cherry shrimp crackers), a specialty of Shizuoka Prefecture, are delicious. Before leaving, I bought POLA skincare products, 'Sakura Ebi no Mai,' and 'Kinmedai Miso Soup' (red snapper miso soup) from the hotel's shop. **Unexpected Surprise**: Upon arrival, I was informed that my room had been upgraded. My room's balcony came with a private hot spring bath, which was absolutely fantastic! I could wake up in the morning and soak in the hot spring while listening to the sound of the waves. For everything else that words can't convey, just look at the pictures. In short, if I go to Izu again, I will definitely choose this onsen hotel."

"Perhaps it will be useful for someone to know more about the location of the hotel. I searched for options by filter for the city of Ito, but this hotel is not there at all. Nevertheless, I do not regret that I did not change my plans and came here. Izu no Ne and several neighboring hotels are located approximately in the middle between the onsen of Atagawa and Katase. You can get here both by local trains with transfers and by the comfortable express Odoriko. And if Ito, where I initially wanted to go, is a lively resort, then this is an excellent option for those who, on the contrary, want to get away from the city. Nearby, in Atagawa, there is a sandy beach where, depending on the season, you can swim. In September it was very warm, although there were decent waves. The Japanese-style room is clean, cozy and comfortable, and most importantly, spacious. The panoramic window overlooks the sea, and the windows face east — you won’t see sunsets anyway because of the mountains, but sunrises in all their glory are guaranteed. I can’t compare with other ryokans, but in terms of service, of course, everything is excellent. Be sure to book with meals — breakfast and kaiseki-style dinner are no less tempting and interesting a reason to come here than the hot springs. By the way, about the springs: there are both public (men’s and women’s separately) and private baths, indoors and outdoors (also with a sea view). A private bath on the roof must be booked in advance at the reception (at no extra charge), and although I’ve been there a couple of times, it was more convenient to just go to the public one whenever you want. The baths are closed at night and during the day from ten to three for cleaning. It seems that these onsen in general and the hotel in particular are not very popular, and few people come here, but it’s a shame! I would gladly come back here again."

"I read the novel The Flower of Money and really wanted to visit Atagawa It was the most impressive travel destination during my 8-day trip to Tokyo This hotel is currently under partial construction But maybe because of that I was able to enjoy the sea view alone So I could really feel the feeling of relaxation The stuffy and stingy Tokyo hotels Healed me at Atagawa Yamatokan. The hot spring is not a facility that receives water that flows down It is a natural hot spring that flows down, so it is clean And the fragrant cypress and cypress scent was really impressive And~I was so grateful for the staff's perfect service from check-in to check-out."

"The hotel is not far from the station, about 5 minutes walk down. The clerk can speak English and did not meet the Chinese clerk. The hotel is a traditional Japanese-style room, very clean and comfortable. There is a pick-up station service, because there is no large luggage, so I don't use ~ The hotel's hot spring water is nearly 100 degrees of source water, and the private soup in the room needs to be cooled to adjust the temperature. The public open-air private soup temperature is suitable, equipped with a steam room, so it is not used in the morning. Breakfast and dinner are very rich, upgraded dinner with beef barbecue, the dishes are delicious, really full! After watching the day in the morning, I went out to the hot springs and cooked the hot spring eggs to bring back to the hotel bibimbap. It was a very special experience. I recommend it to friends who want to come to Izu to play! !"

"Stayed at Rensheng Hotel. The receptionist can communicate in English. We stayed in a room with an open-air private bath, facing the unbeatable sea view. There are fixed boxes for dinner and breakfast. In addition to the private bath in the room, the hotel also has a public private bath. No reservation is required and there is no additional charge. As long as there is no one, you can go in and lock the door to take a bath by yourself. Basically, you will not encounter other guests. It is very private. The hotel's shuttle bus is also very convenient. Although there is a fixed schedule to and from Atagawa Station, if you call temporarily, they will immediately send a car to pick you up. The attitude is excellent. The breakfast and dinner are very rich, with wagyu, golden eye sea bream, and small blue dragon sashimi. I will definitely come again if I have the chance in the future"

"The best accommodation experience for this trip to the east and west coasts of central Japan. A hot spring inn with a spectacular view of Sagami Bay and Izu Oshima

"The hotel is renovated and renamed, so it is doing discounts. Each room has a private spa There is parking lot, there is a table tennis room on the public wind floor, free massage chair The room was clean, but not the corner room in the picture, there was no window behind the bed, but there was a long bathtub as shown in the picture Kimono available at check-in. Room has another set of pajamas and bathrobes. One berth and two meals, the Australian and cattle at the dinner buffet are good, but the beef roasted by Shouxi is like sukiya quality, which is a pity. The buffet ramen is good and delicious, the sashimi, the salad bar is medium and upper, the desserts and fried things are average. Spring strawberry festival is a bit of a play, only strawberry roll cake, strawberry cheese cake and ice cream xd (cheese ice cream is delicious) Breakfast is normal ~ medium and upper, delicious but don't expect too much, scrambled eggs are good, accidentally found that the garlic chili oil in the peach house is delicious, slightly spicy but fragrant, regret not buying a few bottles in Japan! Official website has Chinese introduction"

"We had an amazing 1 night stay at Shizentenyu... i'm still dreaming about the view from our room and the restaurant... amazing!!! We didn't realize that our room included a full 7-course set dinner menu, which was one of the highlights from our trip! The service was impecable, food delicious, and a huge thank-you to Alfie who guided us through our set menu in English. We would have been very confused without him. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, the Onsen lovely, we appreciated the lounge with free coffee, tea, beer, and popsicles. We also braved the steep walk down to the private beach and went for a refreshing swim! We wish we could have stayed longer!"

GGuest UserThe hotel is by the sea, the room faces the sea, there is a private bath on the terrace, there is a shower, the shower water is very big and hot. It's my first time to open my eyes in the morning and take a bath to see the sea. The food is very exquisite, and the Japanese service is very good. Each room can make an appointment for a private customization of the first-floor hot spring ♨️ for 45 minutes at night. After the bath, you can also enjoy local milk and massage chairs, all for free. The few hundred yuan tax for the private bath is not included. It is a hot spring hotel worth visiting twice. Recommended!

GGuest UserThis place is located at Izu-Ōkawa Station, which is a bit off the beaten path for a transport hub in the East Izu area. The hotel offers a shuttle service, which you can book in advance via email or phone. The front desk has a ********* lady who speaks Chinese and is very helpful, answering any questions you might have. The food is quite good, and there are two large outdoor private onsens where you can see stars on a clear night. However, if you want to see a lot of stars, you should head to Ōshima or a nearby island. The room size is standard; in Japanese-style rooms, staff will lay out futons as there are no beds. The tatami mats are very new and have that unique new tatami smell. The private onsen in the room is also nice for a soak. If you're interested, there's also a wild hot spring by the sea – just Google it. You'll find a Lawson convenience store a short walk along the coastline. Overall, apart from the slightly remote location, there aren't any major drawbacks.

AAnonymous UserI chose this hotel instead of the neighboring Ginshuisou because it was slightly more expensive for the same dates, and it was much better than expected. The hotel service was excellent overall, from the shuttle bus to the hotel itself – standard Japanese service. The only slight drawback was that I didn't encounter any staff members fluent in English; we mostly communicated using translators. I emailed the hotel reception to reserve a table at Toranoana yakiniku (grilled meat) next door, and received a reply about a day later that the reservation was confirmed. Very efficient, thank you so much! For a late-night snack, I got some fried rice from a nearby Itoshima-ya restaurant. The rice was perfectly cooked, and my friends and I raved about it! The fried tofu was also delicious! The open-air ocean-view onsen, Sora, had a stunning view. After soaking, enjoying the complimentary tea and snacks and buying milk from the vending machine was incredibly relaxing – the milk was absolutely delicious! There's a convenience store just 100 meters from the hotel, which was very convenient. The room view was also fantastic; I slept soundly to the sound of the waves. The facilities showed signs of aging and use (minor damage), but overall, it didn't feel drab and was acceptable. Furthermore, neither my friend's nor my room smelled musty, indicating that they were well-maintained.

Ggeore_chengThis hotel is perfectly located right by the sea, offering a fantastic environment. Transportation is also quite convenient, with a shuttle bus running between the hotel and Kawazu Station. The breakfast was just okay. If you plan to have dinner, it's definitely best to book in advance. We didn't make a reservation this time and ended up being turned away by both restaurants because they were full. There was nowhere else to eat nearby, so we had to resort to instant noodles.

Yyiyun710Had a fantastic stay! The hotel offers free shuttle service, and the rooms are very spacious. Staying in a sea-view room, sitting on the balcony listening to the waves and enjoying a beer was incredibly therapeutic. We booked a package with breakfast and dinner included, and dinner was excellent. After our meal, we went to the large public bath on the second floor for a hot spring soak. There's also a lounge on the sixth floor with complimentary snacks, drinks, and beer. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!

RRita0729A quiet onsen town, with traditional Japanese rooms. It's slowly becoming commercialized, and fewer places offer dinner and breakfast served in your room these days. This stay, however, was a great experience. Since it was our anniversary, the staff even arranged for us to have a pair of mandarin ducks in our room. They took photos of us and gifted them to us at check-out, which was a lovely touch. We visited on a weekday, so the public bath felt almost like a private one. Enjoying the public bath all to ourselves, gazing at the ocean and listening to the waves, was incredibly relaxing. The hotel's shuttle bus is super convenient, getting guests to Izu-Atagawa Station in just a minute.

GGuest UserThis is a bit worn out and simple hotel. The best things were the extremely friendly and helpful staff, as well as the super delicious dinner & breakfast that was included in the price. I ate maybe the most delicious croissant ever here. The variety and the quality of food was great. Things to improve are  the facilities, especially the onsen. It’s very small but more importantly, it wasn’t well maintained and there was no emergency button. When my mom felt like fainting, it wasn’t possible to call for help.  Also the air conditioner in the room was very loud, making it difficult to sleep. All in all, good stay.

GGuest UserWe had a delicious and fun time with the family. The private beach was also wonderful. If it was summer swimming season, the waves would be calm and it would be easy for children to play there. It was the last weekend of March during spring break, but the hotel was well thought out and didn't feel crowded, which was nice. The freshly fried tempura in the dining area and the fried bread for breakfast were very popular and delicious. However, the smell of oil permeated the yukata and hair I was wearing, so I felt like taking a bath and washing my hair again after the meal. I think it would be difficult, but if the ventilation environment was good, it would be perfect! That's how I felt.

LLThe staff are very polite and always willing to help. The room is big and comfortable. The sound-proof work is also effective, so I hardly hear any noise from rooms nearby. However, note that the hotel is in the middle of a mountain. If you don’t drive, you have to rely on the car service which the hotel offers (free of charge but not always available). It is almost impossible to go by foot. However, I must say the hotel staff has always tried their best to cater your needs, which I appreicate very much.
