Shizuoka City Hotels with Wifi

"I've never stayed in such a dirty and messy hotel in Japan. It's hard to believe this place has over 4 stars on Trip.com. The location is decent, very close to Shizuoka Station, though most of the shopping is on the other side of the tracks, which is fine. You can easily spot Mount Fuji when taking the elevator. The non-Japanese staff at the front desk weren't very friendly either. The most important point is that every day I was either killing cockroaches or other small bugs. I couldn't even leave my suitcase open for long. I'm seriously fed up. Many parts of the bathroom were moldy too. I slept with a constant sense of dread every night. Just writing this review is giving me goosebumps. I've definitely decided not to stay here again. Maybe I just had particularly bad luck. This is my honest experience, for reference only."

"Very satisfied! A particular highlight was the young Chinese lady at the front desk. She's Korean Chinese, speaks Korean, and offered incredibly detailed information with a wonderfully kind and approachable demeanor. Right across from the hotel is Chikusaya, which makes for a convenient and reliable spot for everyday meals."

"We stayed in Koko for 14 nights and enjoyed amenities bar (the best), welcome drinks (wide range), supper (unexpected) and hot bath. Front desk, breakfast and cleaning staff are friendly and kind. They allow early check-in at 2.30pm and kept my friend's luggage for a few hours after check-out. I had a serious fall at Mochimune seaside park on the 25th very early in the morning and surfers helped me to call for an ambulance. Thanks to their kindness I received medical help in time at Shizuoka hospital. I've transited to Tokyo by shinkansen today for aftercare before flying home to Singapore on the 30th. Thank you Mochimune people, ambulance staff, Shizuoka hospital ER staff, Koko hotel front desk, and Matsukiyo staff for their kindness. Please enjoy the many photos of Shizuoka-shi I've taken. "A nice hotel with excellent hotel staff. Hotel room is quite large for Japanese standards. Rooms are clean and quiet. Hotel is about 5 or so minutes walk from the train station. I was able to lug around two large luggages to and from the station and hotel. Not to far of a walk. Would stay with again, but they were fully booked. Oh well, next time i will spend a little longer in Shizuoka."

"The location is excellent, very close to Shimizu Station, and right next to the Shimizu Ginza shopping street. It's about a 15-minute walk to Shimizu Port. The room was bigger than I expected, and the bathroom and toilet were separate. You can hear the train at night, but it wasn't too bothersome. The front desk staff spoke very good English."

"My first time in Shizuoka Prefecture, and I spent the first night at the Nihondaira Hotel. Walking into the lobby, there's a huge glass curtain wall directly ahead. If the weather is clear and visibility is good, you can see Mount Fuji in the distance. Even every room faces Mount Fuji. At the foot of the mountain are Shimizu City, home of Chibi Maruko-chan, and Miho no Matsubara. When I arrived at the hotel in the afternoon, it was overcast, and Shimizu City wasn't visible due to heavy fog and humidity. I was really hoping for clear skies the next morning. And my wish truly came true! At 5 AM, a thought flashed through my mind, I woke up, pulled open the curtains, and although the sun hadn't risen yet, a blush appeared in the southeast. Looking straight ahead, in the distant sky, a massive silhouette appeared – that was Mount Fuji. Alright, I'm content. Hahahaha~ Staying at this hotel, you can completely, completely relax. You can lie in your room and zone out, or stroll on the huge lawn in front of the hotel, watching the shimmering lights of Shimizu City at night. The booking price included dinner and breakfast. A bit pricey, but well worth it. Dinner was a French set menu (Menu in pic 7). For an additional 1600 yen, I upgraded to Japanese-produced Wagyu beef, which I highly recommend. It was grilled perfectly, locking in the pinkness, and the texture was tender and fresh both inside and out. For breakfast, I recommend choosing the Japanese set meal, as online reviews say the Western breakfast is terrible."

"I stayed here for two nights, and the hotel has a very convenient location. It takes about 7 minutes to walk to Shizuoka Station, less than 20 minutes to Sunpujo Park, and around 10 minutes to the Shizuoka Prefectural Office. Convenience stores such as 7-Eleven and Ministop are also just a 5-minute walk away. The hotel has useful facilities, including a coin laundry and an ice maker on the second floor. Breakfast is available, although I didn’t choose the breakfast option when booking. Soundproofing is quite good. I slept well and didn’t hear noise from nearby rooms. Overall, the staff were helpful and professional. Considering the price, I’m very satisfied with my stay and would recommend this hotel. Photos from the window of my room."

"I booked this hotel in a rush late at night after missing my train, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The self check-in was quick and convenient, and the front desk staff were professional and polite. The room itself was clean and tidy. While it's quite compact – much like an Ibis hotel in China – the size wasn't an issue for me. It was a lifesaver in my predicament, is conveniently located near Shizuoka Station, and offers excellent value for money. Highly recommended!"

"(I stayed at the Ezaki building) The interior facilities are very good. There are two shower rooms in the duplex-type independent building, so it is spacious and nice. There is a bit of a distance between the check-in counter and the accommodation, but... a red-haired English-speaking staff member at the check-in counter personally guides you. He is very funny. I have been to Japan many times, but this was the first time I had a language barrier like this, but I can't tell you how good it was to communicate with this person in English. The room is clean, and there are two beddings except for the bed, but it is not just a mat, but a topper, so it is comfortable enough, and the bed is also comfortable and nice. The service cookie is just Lotus flavored. They gave me a drink coupon as a welcome drink, but I couldn't use it, which was a shame. A convenience store is also about 5 minutes away?? Unlike regular hotels, you have to take off your shoes to enter, so it was more convenient, and anyway, the facilities are good and clean, so it was nice. There are department stores, shopping malls, Wasabi House, drugstores, Nanaya, and other shopping streets within 10-15 minutes, so it's good. The only downside is that security can be a bit weak...? Since it's Japan, there's no such risk burden, but it feels that way. It's a structure where you enter by holding the door lock key behind the wall, but um... (see photo) Anyway, that's it... So there's a little noise from cars passing by. But it's okay. Everything is great. Oh, and the doorbell sound was also the convenience store bell sound, so it was funny ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ If you're thinking about going here, it might be good to go ㅎㅎ Oh, another interesting thing is that you can send various inquiries or things you need to know before check-in through email chat starting the day before check-in."
