Dar D'or Fes - Riad in Fes A charming, traditional Moroccan-style riad. We found the place quite easily; we rang the doorbell and were greeted by a woman. She quickly checked us into a small, air-conditioned room on the second floor. About the room: This class of room was quite small but more than adequate for an overnight stay. The bed linen was clean, the internet good, and the room had everything needed for a comfortable stay (a small safe, hangers, a good shower, hot water, bedside tables, and outlets). In true traditional style, two windows overlooked the riad's inner courtyard, and another window faced the narrow street of the Medina. Overall, the location is very good, with cafes, shops, and fast-food places nearby. If you're coming by taxi, be prepared for very narrow streets, so you might have to walk a short distance. I'd like to specially thank the owner of this place because we asked for a small refrigerator, and they were accommodating and provided one. Also, a big thank you to the staff member named Yousef, who prepared us a good breakfast and politely offered advice and answered our questions. Overall, it's a good place, well-maintained and clean (only the floor in the room was a bit dirty, which I discovered after lifting my foot). Thank you for the coziness; it's a good place.

The experience we had at another Riad set very, very high expectations, so read this with that in mind :) I've worked and stayed in luxury hotels around the world, and if you're looking for a stunning hotel, with pleasant service this would be a top choice. However overall we were looking for more of an intimate experience. Staff were very nice; they were young, friendly, kind and caring. Travelling with my mother however, it felt very uncomfortable when I was asked 'how my wife was doing?!', this summed up the disconnection between the hotel and the experience. A beautiful hotel but short of a 4/5 star experience. It is one of the most stunning Riads you will stay at. The restaurant serves great food, and the views are amazing - if you can handle the three floors of steep steps. Overall, you won't be disappointed but it felt like when we stayed there was no manager for those extra touches you expect when paying this much.

Tucked away in the labyrinth alleys of the Medina, Riad Algila transports one into a world of tranquility & elegance. The riad's meticulously adorned courtyard with gentle tricking of water from the fountain, swaying green trees and intricate tile work serves as a peaceful sanctuary from the bustling city outside. Our 2 day stay was nothing short of enchanting. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, adorned with traditional Moroccan decor with modern amenities, provided a luxurious retreat after a day of exploration. The staff always attentive with insightful recommendations, made all the difference to our stay. Riad Algila truly embodies the essence of Moroccan hospitality offering a respite of calm and beauty amidst the vibrant tapestry of Fes.

Facilities: The rooms are quite large for a riad, living up to their suite designation. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are bright. The common areas are truly stunning in Fès, worth a visit and photo opportunity, considering this 700-year-old building is truly breathtaking. However, since it's recently renovated, there's no need to worry about aging. The furniture and other amenities are made of exquisite materials, even featuring mother-of-pearl inlay. I stayed on a hot day, and the air conditioning in my deluxe room wasn't working properly, so I was upgraded to a family suite (all other room types were fully booked, demonstrating its popularity). Cleanliness: Clean and tidy, meeting five-star standards in the rooms, common areas, and restaurant. Ambience: The pictures show how beautiful the common areas are, with the mosaic walls, courtyard, greenery, and chairs all showcasing their craftsmanship. The hotel is located in the heart of the old city, about a 15-minute walk from the parking lot. The hotel is also easy to find, as it's surrounded by alleyways. Remember to look for the hotel sign on the walls. Service: Overall, the service was excellent. The hotel staff were very welcoming. The breakfast was plentiful, and dining on the terrace offered unique views of the old city. However, the luggage transfer staff were not hotel employees, so you had to pay a separate fee (they worked hard to earn their fees, so paying them was fine; just contact the hotel in advance). Overall, highly recommended!

I stayed at three riads in Fes, and this one was the most beautiful! Even before booking, the photos looked gorgeous, and stepping inside still left me speechless with ”WOW~WOW~WOW~”! The blue and white color scheme was like a castle from Ice Princess's castle—so beautiful and romantic! The host, like the house he decorated, was a gentleman—gentle, thoughtful, and generous. His service was comprehensive and professional, a truly welcoming experience! Our room was especially beautiful, clean, comfortable, and impeccably designed! We had to leave for the airport at 4:30 am the next day, so we hadn't booked breakfast. The host had thoughtfully prepared a bag of snacks and drinks for us, which was incredibly touching and heartwarming. This trip to Morocco has been filled with so many wonderful experiences. The kind and genuine Moroccan people completely shattered my preconceived notions about Morocco. You really have to see and experience the world for yourself to know its true nature!

My stay in Fez was truly memorable, thanks to the warmth and professionalism of Hager, the manager. We arrived later than planned, reaching the property at 11 p.m. instead of the expected 9 p.m., yet Hager welcomed us with kindness and patience, making us feel completely at ease despite the late hour. That first impression set the tone for the entire stay. Hager was also incredibly accommodating with breakfast. She kindly arranged breakfast earlier than the usual start time, and it was a delicious traditional Moroccan breakfast — fresh, generous, and beautifully prepared. It was one of the highlights of the stay and a perfect way to start the day. At the time of leaving Fez, I had arranged my transport independently, but the situation did not go as planned and became stressful. When Hager became aware of this, she went out of her way to help, reassured me, and kindly allowed me to stay at the property during the unexpected delay. The property is perfectly located in the heart of the medina, offering an authentic Fez experience while remaining peaceful and comfortable. The room was clean, well-maintained, and felt welcoming after long days of exploring. What truly stood out was the genuine care and hospitality throughout the stay. Hager’s calm, thoughtful, and supportive approach made a real difference and reflects the high standards of this place. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Fez — not just for the location and comfort, but for the exceptional hospitality you’ll experience here.

Chambre propre et literie confortable Salle de bain très petite, douche sans bac, l eau coule directement sur le sol et l’eau met pas mal de temps à s écouler par le syphon: pas trop pratique si vous êtes pressés et que vous devez prendre votre douche l un après l’autre rapidement . Le support de pommeau de douche cassé, il fallait le tenir à la main Produits d hygiène a ramener, shampooing non fourni ( difficile quand on voyage avec bagage en cabine pour 2-3 jours) Service de petit déjeuner basique, dommage pour certains produits commerciaux ( olives noires et fromage quiri ) Crepe et brioche préparé sur place, elles étaient très bonne Emplacement parfait , juste à côté d un de suq de la vieille médina Pour manger il y a plein de restos sur place mais ils sont relativement chers car on est en zone touristique Ne pas hésiter à aller manger dans la ville nouvelle, on y va avec taxi pour 2€ par trajet (4€ a/r) Attention: l hôtel affirme accepter la carte bancaire mais nous n avons pas pu régler 170dirham(17€) par carte car commission trop importante . Que les montants élevés sont acceptés ( à prendre en compte si vous payez en fin de séjour et que vous avez l’argent compté) Wifi gratuit , terrasse sympa mais dommage ne pas y pouvoir prendre le petit dej Dans l ensemble séjour agréable et rapport qualité prix correcte

Love this Riad, it is so clean and beautiful inside and the roof top with a nice Panorama view . Before arriving the riad, they sent me an email asking my WhatsApp so they can send me the exact location and so video clips for me to know how to get there since Google map doesn’t work when getting inside the Medina . They said if I really couldn’t find the way, they could pick me up in one of the entrances to the riad. I thought I could find it but I failed so I called them. One of the staff came out immediately and helped me my luggage. The two young staff there are very helpful and friendly. Since I was so late to arrive , so one staff (should be called Abdullah) brought me out again so I can Rmb how to get out and in again next time. The other young staff also brought me where I can find friendly convenient store nearby to get essentials. Love them and so helpful. The breakfast was nice too. The AC inside the Room is good and the water pressure and the heat were good too ! Highly recommend this Riad when u travel to fez next time. Rmb to bring ur amenities since they do not provide any bathing items or toothbrush. Recommend the riad to have a rubbish bin in the room instead of just inside the toilet.

If you’re staying in Fes, I recommend you stay here. Staff are super friendly and helpful, room clean and comfortable, and the hotel itself as a great traditional Moroccan feel. Mohammed et al. made us feel very welcome. The location is great, walking distance from medina mazes. Brilliant stay and enjoyed Fes very much.

The contact person is so nice that helped us arrange city tour and transport to another city. Even though we had to leave at 8, which was not the breakfast timeslot, the house keeper prepared food for us to take away. We had so much fun here.
