"I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! We stayed in a deluxe villa, second row from the sea. The sea was magnificent, especially before 3 PM, after which the tide started to go out. The breakfasts were average, but always fresh, and there was always plenty of everything. For dinner, we ate at the à la carte restaurant, and everything was delicious (we had read some negative reviews about the food)! Especially the grilled scallops, and the large mixed grilled seafood platter, which included fish baked in salt. The staff were a bit slow, but always tried their best to please you. As for the downsides, the WiFi simply didn't work, and there wasn't a single fruit shop within walking distance."

"Excellent hotel! The best beach on the island is just 400 meters away. My only question is why they put a concrete barrier in the room – it's really inconvenient. You could easily trip over it in the dark at night."

"First things first: you won't need shoes at all during your entire stay. Everything is very stylish and boho-chic; linen dresses perfectly complement the overall concept.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Survival Resort. We had a luxury tent with a very comfortable spring mattress, which significantly enhanced the comfort. The resort is only about six months old, so it's modern and well-maintained.
The entire team is extremely dedicated and attentive, especially the manager, who is very friendly and visible. You feel welcome and well looked after.
The breakfast was perfect: varied, plentiful, and of very high quality. In general, a lot of emphasis is placed on cleanliness and order throughout the resort. Showers and toilets were always clean and well-maintained.
The concept is exciting, and it will be interesting to see what kind of guests the resort attracts in the future and how it develops in one to two years. Currently, it's definitely a clear recommendation for anyone looking for comfort combined with a unique experience."

"We stayed for a week in February in a beachfront bungalow with air conditioning. We absolutely loved it.
1. Gorgeous beach and surrounding nature.
2. The room has everything you need, and everything works.
3. Breakfasts are abundant and varied. Fruits, fish, pastries, steamed food, soup, etc. Both adults and children will be satisfied.
4. The staff are friendly and always ready to help.
5. We had massages twice. Highly recommend.
6. The sea is wonderful. There's a reef with fish to the right.
7. There's a shop, restaurants, and bars nearby. You can walk to neighboring beaches.
8. Excellent location. Quiet place. In the middle of the island. We rode a scooter to waterfalls and remote beaches."

"Easy to get to from the port.
Upon arrival nice greeting and drink- the kids liked it. Room allocated quickly and the person who met us was great.
Beach is excellent- sunset is beautiful. Pier great to jump from.

Room was good, air conditioning worked. Ignoring broken toilet seat and broken soap dispenser- the room was fine and close to the beach, restaurant and shop. The room has WiFi and the tv has Netflix access if you have an account and YouTube.
Motorbike hire is easy- check for bold tyres. We had a puncture almost immediately. My fault for not checking carefully enough .
Service in the restaurant was disappointing- I had to ask each day for coffee. The staff pulled faces when asked as if it was too much trouble. It was awkward asking 2 days in a row. Both staff were equally difficult.
I understand it is low season - not so many customers but they need to pay more attention to diners, play some music and have a simple welcoming look. Breakfast was not so good. If you want eggs or omelettes cooked- good luck! Everything seemed too much trouble. We had dinner there on the first night. The service was terrible but the food was nice and well presented.
Booking trips or boats out was easy and well organised. It was strange that this was so good when the service in the restaurant in the same place was so poor.
I personally would not stay here again, there are nicer hotels along the coast that have better service and facilities around the same price point, I didn’t take many photos here, it felt soulless. I was happy to leave.
The island is excellent. I’m glad we explored it but I would never stay at Sea Far again."

"The bay where the hotel is located is very beautiful, the beach is gorgeous. We stayed in a category A cabin. All of them are on the first line with a sea view. The bathroom has been recently renovated. There's a large step in the room, and in the dark, you could fall. The bathroom light only turns on with all the other lights in the room. Breakfasts are good. In the evening, the only place to eat is the restaurant, which is overpriced and the staff is inattentive (they spent a long time watching us clean sand and dirt from the table and chairs), but the food is okay."

"The best hotel in Koh Kuda!!!! A GREAT location at the end of Ao Tapao Beach, with its own private beach. If you're looking for more space, just beyond the pier, it's waiting for you! We checked in early upon arrival. The room was spotlessly clean, with a superb sea view. Two huge closets with shelves and drawers offer ample storage, so your belongings and suitcases don't ruin the room's aesthetics! The bathroom, shower, and toilet are spacious and tropical paradise-like, with thoughtful details including hangers, ladders, hooks, and a bench. The à la carte breakfasts are delicious, but with an unlimited choice. The seafood noodle soup is truly something special, as is the avocado toast and the coffee! We also had dinner at the hotel, and everything was wonderful. I was especially impressed with how they cleaned the room after check-out! We had a late ferry transfer, so we spent time on the beach, saying goodbye to our room, which had become our home, and seeing it serviced for three hours, washing all the walls, ceiling, and panoramic windows, not just the floors, shelves, bathroom fixtures, and linens! It was great that the staff knew their guests by sight and were very friendly. We'd be happy to return next time for a longer stay; three nights wasn't enough!"

"Although the hotel isn't huge, the grounds are well-maintained. The rooms are small (like most on the island, to be fair), but the bathrooms are massive, and both have been recently renovated. There are no TVs. Breakfasts are decent, almost homemade. The hotel offers scooter rentals and various beach essentials like inflatable mats and balls. There's a restaurant right next door and a roadside cafe not far away, and the prices were a pleasant surprise (not expensive for the island). S Beach is a short walk from the hotel, and the water there is incredibly clear. There's a massage service on the beach (prices are standard for the island, not cheap if you compare to Pattaya, Koh Chang, or Bangkok). The location is great because it's a short scooter ride to any of the beaches, waterfalls, etc. Highly recommend!"

"Captain Hook is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for peace and quiet. The villas are nice, we stayed in a room with its own mini pool. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel can help you arrange boat rides, scooters to rent, ferry tickets, etc. Some amenities the resort offers are massages, fire shows, snorkeling, kayaking, and skiing. You should know that there is no beach in front of the resort, but it’s a quick swim/canoe to the beach across from the resort. The restaurant and bar sits right on the water and offers various western and eastern options. We would definitely recommend the fried chicken wings! It was a great holiday and we would choose this resort again when we travel to Koh Kood in the future."

"We stayed in a family bungalow. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous, the breakfasts were wonderful, and the cottages were thoughtfully designed. The bathroom was fantastic, with a tropical shower and hot tub. A nice, uncrowded pool was available. The beach was small and cozy, with plenty of sun loungers and free kayaks. Nearby, there's a small village on the river where locals and small hostels live. There are also cozy cafes, bike rentals, and a small shop. If you don't have a bike, you'll find everything you need within walking distance. There's also a pier where you can go to neighboring islands or take an excursion. Overall, everything was wonderful, thank you for a comfortable stay ♥️"

GGuest UserRooms are very nice the only downside of the room was barely no hot water. Beach is beautiful. Service and staff was good ok but lots of trainees and not well managed and trained personell. Breakfast was way under average in terms of quality and especially variety. Not even 3 stars in this respect.
Food and service at the beach restaurant was good especially the service from K. Namphung and her team was very good.
Cleanliness of the entire resort including pathways, water ponds can be improved.

GGuest UserIt was our fifth time at Dusita and still is one of our favorite places in Thailand. Only 15 rooms, basic but clean and comfortable. Breakfast options good and plenty of choice. Extensive menu for nice food but missing the classics spring roll, fish cake and no fresh coconut! Shame! The garden is great with private beautiful beach. Not enough loungers and chairs and outside guests are flocking in as well. Massage on site great and Bi and Peng are the best staff you can wish for. We will return for sure! Had a great and relaxed holiday.

GGuest UserBeautiful stay! The location is great, walking distance from the beach, pharmacy, restaurants, ATM, gas station and many other things. You can rent a bike through them. The receptionist was incredibly helpful and super nice. The only issue I had in my room was the drain in the shower was very slow. I felt like I was standing in my own filth, I had to quickly shower so it doesn’t flood the rest of the bathroom which was a bit annoying. I mentioned this to them and I’m sure they’ll fix it. The water pressure was great! Overall, this was an incredible stay and would stay here again!

There is high speed internet all area and strength signals. The most strength mobile service signals is AIS but they just equipped more for True/DTAC.
The room is clean and comfortable bed.
I recommend you bring your soap, shampoo …
(Hotel provided but not good enough for me).
There is personal beach in the front of resort. It really nice but many big stones. If you would like to swim in the sea, I suggest you swim far from the beach area.

Breakfast is mediocre, but we did not go for food :) without breakfast it will be sad, because there are only cafes nearby (shops, of course, nicht), there are not many of them. This is a beautiful, paradise island, just right for privacy with nature. I did not like the price for the hotel per day)

Уборка номера каждый день, но бассейн в номере не чистят от листьев, приходилось вызывать. Завтраки в формате шведского стола, отличный выбор, но однотипный. Порадовало наличие на завтраке соковыжималки, каждый день у тебя свежий сок от морковки до арбуза. Все что разочаровало - это коктейли на баре: дорогие и невкусные, приготовленные неправильно. На ночном рынке коктейли намного вкуснее и дешевле)
Ну а так, идеальный отдых за свои деньги.

I had one of the better rooms and found it to be very spacious with a comfortable bed with plenty of storage. Breakfast was ok not many choices though. EEvgenia K.Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We chose this hotel because we liked its location - close to Bang Bao Beach, but at an affordable price. For ease of movement around the island, the hotel staff offered us a good motorbike without any deposit. The owner of the hotel, Jay, is generally a very attentive and welcoming host, ready to help with any issue. He told us about interesting places on the island that are worth visiting, where to eat, and even where is the best place on the island to watch the sunset. At our request, Jay arranged our return transfer to Bangkok via speedboat and private comfortable car. The room we lived in was large, very bright and stylishly decorated. The bed is large, with a comfortable mattress, plenty of pillows and snow-white bed linen. The air conditioner is modern, not noisy, and quickly cooled a fairly large room. From the room there is access to a small terrace with a tea table and a view of the garden, there is a clothes dryer. The room has a modern TV with smart TV function and Internet access. The bathroom is spacious, the instantaneous water heater worked well, and there are personal hygiene items. Beach towels and a mat are provided for guests to relax on the beach. Upon check-in, guests will receive a compliment from the hotel. We had a great time at the hotel and would love to come back again, Thanks Jay 🙏

GGuest UserThe hotel owns the Ao Ta Pao beach / The beach is considered one of the best on the island, second only to the Secret Beach AWD. However, we were disappointed with the beach. The entrance to the sea is deep, the waves are quite strong. The sand is bad - rocky, it is unpleasant to walk on it. On the first day, the water was muddy, there was a lot of different garbage floating - leaves, wood, even plastic in places. On the second day, the sea cleared up, but, for example, on the southern beach of Ao Prao, we did not see anything like this, the water there was crystal clear both days.
We had a bungalow on the third line. It was well furnished. A huge bed, a good mattress of medium hardness. The bathroom is also good, the plumbing is in good condition, the repair is good. In general, everything in the room is clean and there are no complaints.
By the way, when booking, breakfast was not indicated, but upon arrival it turned out that we were still entitled to it, and for free. Breakfast is a buffet, very tasty and varied, such a nice bonus.
The staff is pleasant, they try to help with everything. They helped us book a transfer to Bangkok, and for the same price as if we had booked it directly from the company.
However, there were some controversial points. Firstly, the food in the hotel restaurant is expensive, and the menu is rather meager. Seriously, they have such a varied breakfast, but so few dishes for dinner!
Also, when we checked into the hotel, they asked us for immigration cards (these are the papers that you fill out when crossing the border of Thailand - part of the card remains with the customs officer, and they tear off the stub for you). This is the stub they asked us for. The irony is that this was not our first hotel in Thailand, and in the previous hotel no one was interested in this card - moreover, even the customs officers themselves did not really look at it - they put a stamp, tore off the stub and let us go in peace. But here they insistently demanded it. I don’t even know what would have happened if we had not kept these cards.
In general, the hotel staff is extremely careful. In addition to the story with the maps, they also didn't give us a motorbike - they said that I was somehow unsure of myself when sitting on it (although I was just careful the first time). Our friend at another hotel was given a bike without any problems, and for a smaller amount, although he had never driven any transport before and does not have a license.
In general, I can recommend the hotel for a vacation. The price is normal compared to other hotels in Koh Kuda, it corresponds to the quality of service and the hotel as a whole. But the staff's caution is, of course, excessive.

GGuest UserStarting with the positives, Tolani resort has really friendly staff who bent over backwards to make your stay pleasant. It also has beautiful rooms our bungalow was clean and comfortable with good aircon and a very comfortable bed. It gave a feeling of luxury though the water pressure in the shower was really bad. It’s outside of the rooms that this resort falls flat.
Tolani is positioning itself as a luxury resort and with a high price point to match but for the money it doesn’t deliver. The resort is supposedly on the beach but in reality the beach is not easily accessible from the resort. You can climb over rocks and swim over to the beach but it’s not easy. This means you will not have any sun loungers on the beach which can be an issue as the pool area is very small with only a handful of beds there. It’s also what you want from a beach front resort.
The food at the resort including breakfast is very poor but very expensive. Thankfully there are great restaurants nearby but we didn’t have a single good meal here. Drinks and food are massively overpriced for the island too.
We also had a poor experience at checkout. We had given our scooter back to the hire place but needed to head to the shops and so my wife asked if it was possible to get a taxi. A kind member of staff offered to run her up the road quickly in their car which we assumed was just a kind gesture. On checkout they charged us 15 euros for this trip. That’s an outrageous price for a 5 minute ride down the road but it also wasn’t communicated to us that we would be charged at the time as we wouldn’t have agreed. When we challenged this they told us we had to pay. It left a really bad taste in the mouth and it showcased this place is mainly looking to make money off its guests and not about creating a good experience.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend staying here because there are better resorts for the price point and the food and facilities are both sorely lacking. The lovely staff are not enough to save the price gouging happening here.
