"The beach environment is still beautiful, perfect for watching the sunset and also great for kids to play. We happened to be there during Chinese New Year, so there were many activities like lion dances and delicious food. There are lots of restaurants nearby and plenty of spots perfect for photos, including a romantic Ferris wheel. However, we paid an extra AUD 40 a night to upgrade to a sea view room, and the air conditioning in the room was terrible. Despite repeated complaints about the AC not working, they wouldn't move us to another room. After one night, it was so hot that we had to ask for a fan. In the end, the front desk offered some compensation before we checked out. They definitely need to improve the customer experience!"

"Great view, decent service and location however I was put in the room next to the lifts and was kept awake/woken up for a large portion of the night until late, and early in the mornings on both nights of my stay. Complained at reception however they weren’t much help nor did they offer a discount on my stay. Very disappointed - otherwise great just make sure they don’t put you next to the noisy elevators!"

The Hotel Windsor, Melbourne (Worst value for money) The Park Hyatt Melbourne stood out as having the best service among all 11 hotels. We arrived around 5:00 PM and were informed our room wasn't quite ready, requiring a 10-15 minute wait. Before I could even react, the front desk staff immediately offered complimentary breakfast for the next day as an apology, along with a voucher for two drinks at the lobby bar while we waited. Of course, we happily accepted! The hotel's location is a little outside the very center, situated behind Parliament House and right next to St. Patrick's Cathedral, which you can see from the rooms. Fitzroy Gardens, home to Cook's Cottage, is also within walking distance and worth a visit. I was very impressed with the hotel's amenities. The room even had a three-prong power outlet, a feature I didn't find in any other hotel. The 'old money' decor gave it a grounded and understated elegance. Breakfast was excellent and very extensive, with freshly made Western pastries that were incredibly delicious. I heard their flat white is even better than those from popular specialty coffee shops. The heated pool was long and narrow, feeling like it was definitely more than 25 meters. There's also a tennis court available for A$50 an hour, though you need to bring your own racket."

"The Marriott Hotel was a terrific stay. The room was spacious, modern, had beautiful views of Victoria Square, and very clean. The pool facilities and bar were also extremely clean and had a modern, sleek design. Staff were also very friendly. One suggestion with check in - if staff are on the phone upon arrival, a simple 'we will be with your shortly' or ask another staff to help wouldn't hurt. A 5 min wait isn't a good look - you never know who the client is (hotel inspector?, travel guide?, investor?) Also, a sauna or spa would have complimented the well-designed pool nicely. However, i understand that space might be an issue. Definitely one of the best hotels so far in Adelaide."

"Great location in the city, close to hindley street nightlife and various bars and restaurants. Staff were polite and friendly. Room had a nice view over the city and part view of the river! Room was clean, bed was so comfy!! Would stay again :)"

"The room was comfortable and quiet, and very clean. They provided shower gel, shampoo, hand soap, and lotion, and even a thoughtful sewing kit. Environment: The surroundings were beautiful. Service: Excellent. Check-in and check-out at the front desk were quick and easy. The breakfast was rich and varied. Parking: We parked in a public parking lot about a 5-minute walk from the hotel, which cost AUD 35 per night. There's also free 30-minute parking right in front of the hotel."

"Stayed 3 nights , had 2 nights booked and decided to book a day early , unfortunately they could not give us the same twin room , so we settled on the king Riverview room. The staff were great accommodated the situation with no fuss taking our bags for.the short window between transfer of rooms. They really looked after us as we went out however as.mentioned they quickly got the room ready. The rooms are spacious clean have a great outlook and bathrooms are well designed and the decor is wonderful Hard to fault really , the spa, sauna steam room and a good gym. Maybe the pool which is more than sufficient, but hard to do laps if that is your thing Location next to the station , great , stadium a short walk Excellent"
