"The hotel boasts an overall vintage French design, and the lobby's decor is elegant and stylish, creating a great ambiance. However, the facilities are noticeably outdated. The room interiors, appliances, and bathroom fixtures show clear signs of age and general wear, lacking proper renovation and maintenance. The breakfast experience was quite disappointing. The selection wasn't extensive, and what really impacted the experience was that most hot dishes were lukewarm throughout, indicating very poor insulation, which significantly detracted from the taste. On the bright side, the service deserves commendation. The front desk and concierge staff were warm, friendly, and highly responsive. They were very patient during check-in and with inquiries, showing great attention to detail. Overall, the hotel excels in service and its retro aesthetic, but there's significant room for improvement in both hardware and breakfast quality."

"This is my go-to hotel for every business trip. The service, facilities, and location are all impeccable. The bedding is comfortable, and everything is spotlessly clean. Wanda J's service attitude was excellent; she helped us upgrade our room type and thoroughly explained the hotel's member benefits. I genuinely recommend this place for anyone on a business trip. From the hotel room window, you can see the Huangshui River and the currently popular Xinghai Road. All in all, this is definitely the top choice for both vacations and business travel."

"The surprises of a city often reveal themselves during your overnight stay. This time, the hotel I stayed in was on a high floor, and the night view was as beautiful as a flowing painting. The facilities were comprehensive: a free gym and laundry room were all available. The little detail that really impressed me was the unlimited supply of bottled water by the elevators – that feeling of being looked after was truly wonderful. The service was thoughtful and the breakfast was plentiful, making for a very comfortable stay."

"My stay at Xining Chaidamu International Hotel was excellent! It's ideally located in the heart of Haihu New District, right next to a commercial area, making getting around super convenient. The lobby is grand and elegant, and the room was spacious and clean with comfortable bedding and great soundproofing. The humidifier was a thoughtful touch. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and efficient. Breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, and the underground parking was very convenient. Overall, it offers fantastic value for money, perfect for both leisure and business travelers. Highly recommend!"

"Back in Xining, I didn't hesitate to choose the Wanda Vista Hotel again. The hotel entrance had a lovely aroma that immediately uplifted our spirits. The grand and bright lobby also helped to alleviate our altitude sickness. Since it was a holiday, there were many guests, but everyone was queuing in an orderly fashion. Upon entering the room, we could see the mountain view. At this time of year, green shoots are just starting to appear, giving a vibrant and flourishing feel. The breakfast service was warm and attentive, creating a comfortable and pleasant dining atmosphere. The variety and taste of the food met our needs perfectly. Originally, there was an airport shuttle bus stop right outside the hotel, but it wasn't operating recently. I asked the hotel staff, and they mentioned that due to a recent state visit and subsequent traffic control, the service hasn't been restored yet. I hope the airport shuttle service will be back up and running next time I return, making travel more convenient."

"My stay at Qinghai Kaiyuan Grand Hotel in Xining completely exceeded my expectations. Every moment, from check-in to check-out, was incredibly comfortable and pleasant. I absolutely have to sing its praises! First off, the service was exceptionally warm and attentive, making the entire experience fantastic. As soon as I arrived, a doorman proactively helped me with my luggage and directed me to the Sky Lobby on the 21st floor. Check-in was super efficient, and they even thoughtfully recognized my member status and upgraded my room for free, along with complimentary fresh welcome fruit. The 24-hour front desk was always responsive to my needs; whether I needed directions or extra items, they were quick to assist. The staff were friendly and professional in every detail, adding a touch of warmth to my trip. Secondly, the facilities were comprehensive and high-end, ensuring a very comfortable stay. The design of the Sky Lobby was simply stunning, blending Chinese style with panoramic views. In the evening, I even caught a breathtaking sunset – perfect for photos! My room was spacious and bright, with a well-designed layout covering over 50 square meters. It featured a soft sofa, a large desk, and even a humidifier to combat the dry climate in the Northwest, which was a very thoughtful touch. The guest rooms were fully intelligent, with features like sensor lighting and electric blackout curtains adding a futuristic feel. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area and a bathtub, and the toiletries were high-quality. The King Koil mattress provided an amazing sleep experience. The hotel also boasts a free gym, a table tennis room, a book bar, and a tea room – perfect for either exercise and relaxation or quiet reading. The amenities truly cater to various needs. What truly surprised me was the breakfast – it was abundant and unique. Served at the buffet restaurant on the 5th floor, it covered everything from Chinese and Western to Halal cuisine, with an incredibly wide variety. There was freshly prepared Lanzhou beef noodles, authentic Halal 'Sazi Mahua' (fried dough twists), and other local specialties, along with hot dishes, cold dishes, congee, bread, seasonal fruits, and excellent freshly ground coffee and squeezed juices. I particularly recommend the hotel's yogurt; its rich and creamy texture was delicious with grains or fruit. The dining area was spacious and clean, with plenty of seating, so there was no need to wait in line – a perfect start to an energetic day. Additionally, the hotel's location is superb. It's right next to Xining Railway Station, just a few minutes' walk away. Within a 1-kilometer radius, there's a night market, large shopping malls, and the distinctive Mojia Street pedestrian area. It's also close to the Dongguan Great Mosque and the Huangshui River, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and finding food. The free public parking also eased any concerns for those traveling by car. It offers incredible value for money. In summary, Xining Qinghai Kaiyuan Grand Hotel excelled in every aspect, including service, facilities, and dining. It's perfectly suited for both business trips and leisure travel. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Xining and highly recommend it to everyone!"

"Location: Centrally located yet quiet, conveniently close to the Provincial Museum and easily accessible by car. Service: Professional, likely due to their frequent corporate guests. We received a complimentary (and delicious!) Qinghai yogurt upon check-in. Facilities: The room was spacious and bright, equipped with a humidifier. We were upgraded to a higher floor, offering excellent views. Breakfast: A good variety of dishes, and items were replenished promptly. The yogurt was delicious. Drawbacks: Firstly, regarding facilities, there was no physical separation between the bathroom area and the bed. While this created an open feel, it compromised privacy and proper zoning. Additionally, the layout was a bit awkward: the tea/coffee station was immediately to the left upon entering, with the wardrobe further inside, which wasn't a very practical flow. Secondly, I struggled to figure out how to switch the shower function on the bathtub faucet, and the water temperature wasn't as hot as in the main shower. Thirdly, when I asked for a to-go cup for coffee at breakfast, the staff member replied (verbatim): 'This is a buffet; you cannot take it out!😑' This felt a bit inflexible and lacked a personal touch. I'd suggest they learn from similar hotels in other popular tourist provinces to further enhance their service. Summary: My stay was in late August, towards the end of the peak tourist season. For a price of 400+ RMB per night, the facilities and service offered excellent value for money."

"I booked this hotel for a quick getaway, mainly because as a five-star property with a pool and gym, the off-season price seemed very reasonable. Upon arrival, the experience was truly stunning! Our butler, Xiao Ai, contacted us in advance. Not only did we receive complimentary breakfast for our multi-night stay, but because it was the off-season, they even upgraded us to a 65-square-meter suite on a higher floor! The hotel's facilities, guest rooms, lobby, dining, and service were all genuinely five-star standard, truly exceeding expectations! The surrounding area is also very lively, with several commercial districts, some trendy and some more local, offering a wide variety of food and drink options. It was also very convenient for driving out of the city. Before we left, the housekeeping staff even gave us some adorable yak plushies, which we loved! This was the biggest little joy of our trip to Xining!"

"We liked this hotel and the room was comfortable and it is about a 10 minute walk to the train station. The gym was located on the top floor. Our recommendation is it could be cleaner, especially putting the equipment on shelves instead of lying around on the ground. There were many places to eat around the hotel within a 10 minute walk and the market for the caterpillar fungus was right behind the hotel. This was very interesting."
