Luxury Hotels in Chennai

"It's not far from downtown Chennai, but it's a place I often go to because it's refreshing and gives me a sense of travel. I had a great time with my friends, family, and several other families. The only downside is that the poolside bar is lacking for a 5-star hotel, but the pool is okay to play in except when it's crowded. The beds are good, and there are some very smart staff members, so it's nice that you won't be delayed when you get serviced by them. However, there are too few restaurants, so there's not much to choose from, and the main restaurant is always mainly Indian food, so even though it's a 5-star world chain, there's not much to eat as a foreigner, which is a downside."

"Stayed 4 nights at The Residency Towers, Chennai early May 2026. Hotel looks grand and clean. Very convenient location if you are a shopper! 'Off' pick drive to International airport about 20 mins. Staff are very kind, polite and helpful. Staff at main door entrance always greet with a smile and are willing to collect your luggages. Breakfast spread with commendable! Many options from South Indian (fresh and on the spot) made dosa, roti, Mediterranean food staple like hummus, pita bread, healthy sandwiches, juices, filter coffee! pastries, cakes, porridge.. more than one can ask for! Special mention about Mr Deeraj. Deeraj made every effort to make my stay memorable after I had issues in the first room assigned to me. Dheeraj personal inspected the next room and assured to make my stay a good one, and he definitely did! Dheeraj visited me in the restaurant to speak to me personally about my dissatisfaction about the first room which is very commendable in ensuring guests are well taken care of. Dheeraj even gave me an upgrade! which was very kind of him. Another mention is Anand who collected my luggages. He was on full spring and energy in his work! He has very good working etiquette. Another shout out to Krish and Ashwin from the restaurant! They were very sweet and friendly to make our mealtimes enjoyable and their lightheartedness full of spirit really made my day! Myself and my husband had a truly wonderful time at The Residency Towers, Chennai! We will surely return. My only comment is, I expected all rooms to have been updated and renovated as advertised on their website, but unfortunately only couple of floors."

"Resort located away from crowd … well maintained, accessible to beach, friendly staff, activities well planned to keep kids engaged, freebies to kids like teddy, glass painting, tattoo is different compared to others… base rooms are decent, but doesn’t have balcony or scenic view … worth the money"

"It was a nice experience and quality service provided by hotel staff. We stayed for 2 nights. The food in Hyatt regency was nice. That was the best Indian food we ever tried. Special thanks go to front desk officer Ms Saraswathi, and concierge Mr Daniel, Mr Vijay , Mr Rajini. Also food the spic restaurant are amazing, special thanks to restaurant staff Mr Arindam, Mr Rajesh & Mr Kartik. Overall Hyatt Regency staff make extra miles to make our stay an amazing and memorable holiday. Planning to travel again with kids."

"Excellent Stay at GRT Grand Chennai I had a wonderful stay at GRT Grand Chennai. The hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort, luxury, and warm hospitality. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very well maintained, making the stay extremely comfortable. The staff Sabri,Muthu Anna Sharin and Aishek were courteous, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile, which truly enhanced the overall experience. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options catering to different tastes.The hotel’s location is very convenient, providing easy access to major areas in Chennai. Overall, GRT Grand Chennai exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city for business or leisure. I look forward to staying here again."

He assisted with making my flight bookings and was very helpful and went beyond service to call and remind me of my flight the next day. Yuvi from bell counter always welcomed me with a smile and remembered that I’m a return guest. Room service is also always good n time and food is amazing here."

"3 nights stay at a luxurious hotel with beautifully appointed rooms. Very attentive front office staff who offered us a flower garland and refreshing welcome drink. Spacious room with all the amenities. Big comfy beds. We love the Japanese style bidet and toilet. Separate cloakroom for luggage and ironing. Delicious in-house dining and I had steak and salad."

"The hotel's location is superb, within walking distance of the LIC metro station and the large shopping mall EA Avenue. The staff provided excellent service, explaining everything clearly and thoroughly. A great bonus for environmentally conscious guests is the reusable glass water bottles provided in the rooms – a commendable effort to reduce plastic waste in the hospitality industry. The hotel's buffet offers a wide variety of dishes and good quality food, ensuring even non-local guests (whose bodies might not be accustomed to Indian cuisine for every meal) can enjoy their dining experience with various cuisines available. Additionally, the hotel's rooftop restaurant boasts a fantastic ambiance and serves a selection of Asian dishes. While some might not be entirely authentic (for instance, the Tom Yum Goong shown in the picture wasn't a perfect balance of sour, spicy, and salty, with the salty flavor being more prominent), I believe these are adjustments made to cater to local preferences, such as increasing the salt content in dishes to compensate for the hot weather and increased perspiration."

"I spent a night in this Hotel while in a business trip in Chennai. Honestly speaking, i was positively surprised. The staff was professional and helpful. The room was top notch, well maintained with plenty of options and amenities. The food choice was also great; i tried the Kebab factory restaurant and it was one of the best meal i had in my trip. The hotel is also conveniently located near the airport and they provide a complimentary shuttle to the airport. Great Price / Quality ratio. Highly Recommended"

"To be honest, everything was awesome. I liked how brightly lit the room is and it just makes it even cleaner and comfy. The staff are attentive and responsive, always ready to assist and serve. The only misfortune was that insects gathered all over my closet wall on the 2nd day. However, the housekeeping team was swift to come over and clean the closet at 9pm when I reported it, changing my bedsheet as well and even offered me a change of room. Overall, I would still choose this hotel the next time that I’m back in Chennai. They have the comfort and service nailed down and handles problem professionally with satisfactory response."
