Next to the village post office, there's a small shop that sells pickled vegetables (water spinach + chives) from morning to noon for only 5 yuan – cheap and appetizing! The late-night snack place across from the market also serves authentic, affordable, and delicious food; the noodle soup is 8 yuan, 10 yuan with an egg. The fried noodles are tasty too. There are many people at the Xinjiang BBQ nearby and at the small BBQ stall opposite Gangpo Pier, but my trip was too rushed, and I didn't get a chance to try them.
