Outstanding
FFanny fristhikaLocation is very strategic , near with some of recreational objects. You can buy groceries at supermarket around there, there's many good restaurant with affordable prices, and you can change your money to Rubel in the money changer at supermarket. The rate is good.
The room of apartment is good enough for 3 ppl. More than that will be cramped.
The bath room is so clean, hot and cold water is good , and the washing machine works properly.
The owner provides us transfer service to and from airport, with a good tariff. And the driver is so kind.
Maybe the only one minus poin, is no elevator to go to 5th floor 😄. But fortunately we were helped by the driver to bring up our luggage.
GGuest UserThe room (with king size bad) was with the city view, was small, the bathroom was too small.
As an apology for the incident, we were given a room with a river view - better we stayed in an old one. The city view was of a roof with chimneys. You couldn't see them unless you stood far from the window.
It's not a 5*. There are other decent 5* hotels in Minsk that are much better than this one, many of them have Spa.
PPapillon12This is a grand dame hotel in the European style. Although the hotel had to be totally rebuilt they kept to the original plan and quality. Great place for a city stay.
GGuest UserGreat hotel, super spacious rooms, clean and very friendly staff. Central location, free parking space and great food selection at breakfast. Would prefer to have a bit more modern shower and bathroom facility in general and some kind of coffee machine instead over instant coffee, but otherwise it’s a great hotel.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located a little outside the city center, near the opera house, in a small side street. From there, you can get everywhere very quickly, either on foot or by tram. I booked a small double room with a shared bathroom. As is always the case with shared rooms, everything depends on the other travelers staying at the hotel. At least I was lucky, and everything was fine. There's also a small café where you can get something to eat. The staff speaks English, which is great if you have any questions. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay. I can highly recommend it for a trip to Belarus.
QQAComplianceAuditorI stayed at this hotel (formerly a monastery and later a guardhouse) and had mixed feelings. Overall, I liked it, but it wasn't without its drawbacks. I think it's better here in summer than in fall and winter.
The first thing I really miss is a trash can in the room. The only small one is in the bathroom, and it's clearly not enough. There's nowhere to throw trash in the room itself.
The second drawback is the cold. The air conditioner is controlled remotely, and it's impossible to set the room temperature yourself. While in regular hotels you can turn up the heat or cool down, here you have to go to reception every time and ask for the temperature to be changed. They promise to do so, but in the end, the room remains chilly. It feels like they're saving on their customers.
The third drawback is the blanket. It fits the mattress perfectly and doesn't hang down the sides at all. It's fine for one person, but if you're sleeping with two people, the blanket is definitely not enough—someone will be left without shelter.
And the fourth point is the echo. Yes, the walls here are indeed thick, as befits an old monastery, but the sound inside reverberates so strongly that every word reverberates. It makes you feel like you're in an empty room—you don't even want to speak.
The fifth drawback is breakfast. While the hours are convenient—from 7 to 11 a.m.—it's very meager. I arrived around 10 a.m., and there were no desserts at all; fruit—a couple of meager orange slices, and that was it. Overall, the fruit and sweet options were poor. The main course included an omelet, an egg with a yolk, a sausage (which tasted distinctly chemical), and fried potatoes—and that's about it.
Overall, I liked the hotel itself: atmospheric, unusual, and steeped in history. But the price is clearly overpriced. For the amenities offered here, the price should be at least a third lower. Right now it's just not worth the money they're asking for it.
GGuest UserIt felt like you didn’t get a lot for the money considering it is Minsk. However the hotel is fine, modern, like a holiday inn type standard and it’s near the metro and some cool cafes and bars on Oktyaberskaya. Breakfast was poor, I didn’t eat there again after the first day!
GGuest UserBeautiful soviet era hotel with modern rooms. Clean room with great amenities. Convent locations with most major attractions within a short walking distance.
MMs Lola BearGood value. 20 minute walk from Metro but 10 minutes to bus stop for city centre. Two small supermarkets nearby. Everything was clean. Bit annoying that there was no breakfast but otherwise everything was fine.
GGuest UserThe room was very clean and spacious. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel doesn't provide slippers or toothbrushes, but they are available for purchase at the front desk for a very reasonable price. There's no hairdryer, so remember to bring your own. It might also be a good idea to bring your own pajamas. The hotel is conveniently located very close to the airport. While it's a bit further from the city center, this is understandable given the extremely affordable price. Overall, I was very satisfied, and it offers excellent value for money.
