GGuest UserWhenever I travel, Ji Hotel is always my top choice because of its consistent quality – you can't go wrong here! ✨ The hotel's location is perfect, making it super convenient for getting around and dining. The lobby is simple yet elegant, with a subtle tea aroma that helps you relax the moment you step in. The room was clean and tidy, with a warm and cozy minimalist wooden design. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, the mattress was just right (not too soft, not too hard), and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. There was plenty of hot water, and the bathroom facilities were great, with attention paid to every detail. The front desk staff were warm, attentive, and efficient during check-in and check-out, always ready to answer any questions. The breakfast was rich and delicious, a good mix of Chinese and Western options, ensuring a balanced meal. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations. It's perfect for both business trips and leisure travel. I highly recommend it and will definitely choose Ji Hotel again next time!

Good location relatively close to the fortress and on the way to the wall. Plenty of food options around and more within 1 Km around.
The staff at the reception were so helpful. No English spoken but with all the apps communication is not a big issue. It just take more time 🤔😅
The room was big. Great bathroom. A lot of space and storage available. Good air conditioning system.
Breakfast was simply delicious and every day there were different items available. Not much western food but anyway Chinese food is healthier. Staff there was lovely.
The fitness area is a bit minimalist.
Self laundry is available and works great.
I will return for sure.
A Personal tip to people visiting Jiayuguan: I suggest getting to the wall first thing in the morning after breakfast. Taxis is the only option.In July 2024 the price I paid (Meter as usual) was 26 Yuans. After visiting that place take a taxi to the fortress (Jiayu pass) as it is on the way to the city anyway. The cost was 11 Yuans and it is very close to the fortress unlike the main ticket office located 2 Km away (where the bus nr 4 stops).
Further tip if you like HotPot restaurants the NanjiaXiang is a great choice at a very reasonable price. It is 800 meters away from the hotel.

GGuest UserDon't let the facade of this hotel fool you. While the frontage is a 4-floor building, majority of the hotel rooms are located at a much taller building behind the frontage.
The reception has a free coffee machine for guest, which is a rarity for Chinese hotels (especially if not 5-stars). I wish the reception was more brightly lit.
There is a Halal restaurant next to the hotel, so if you must eat Halal food, this hotel is perfectly located.
The room has adequate space for 2 person to put 2 big luggage, with plenty space to hang the winter clothing. The insulation is good, heater is warm, water pressure is strong with sufficient hot water when you need it. There's one odd thing about the heating in this hotel. The floor is heated, which is good prima facie, but the guest cannot control the temperature. So if the window is closed when you sleep at night, the heated floor ended up radiating heat all over the room to the point it feels like a 30C charcoal sauna when you wake up in the morning.
One special mention must be made about the breakfast. The dining area looks relatively spartan but the dishes would surprise you. It serves Salmon, Fish Eggs and one Cantonese delicacy ”Buddha Jumping Over the Wall”, which was a total surprise as we didn't expect a Cantonese dish to be served here so far in the northwest of China. I appropriated 2 bowls of Buddha Dish for one morning, enough said. I would absolutely come here for breakfast again. If the hotel could fix the control for the floor heating, that would be great !

GGuest UserIf you're traveling solo, staying in a hostel is the absolute best choice (especially for extroverts)! You can genuinely make friends, or even feel like you've found family here! The owner-sister and owner-brother are both super nice! I was so lucky to hitch a ride with the owner-sister in her big off-road vehicle to the desert, and even getting stuck was fun! Sis, you're awesome!

GGuest UserI stayed only one night here. This hotel is really clean and the pictures accurate. It seems that the room has been renovated recently, it is nice really practical.
You can reach the castle (the fort) easily by walking. Even though the owner doesn't speak English, with a translation App we managed to understand eachother. He drop me off at the train station early morning. I recommend this hotel. This comment has been written by a French traveller.
Je suis resté ici une seule nuit. Cet hôtel est vraiment propre et les photos correspondent bien. Il semblerait que la chambre ait été rénovée récemment, et elle est vraiment mignonne et pratique. Il est facile de rejoindre le fort à pied. Bien que le propriétaire ne parle pas anglais, il est aisé d'échanger avec lui grâce à une application de traduction. Il m'a déposé à la gare de bon matin, ce qui fut très pratique. C'est une personne très serviable. Je recommande cet hôtel. Ce commentaire a été écrit par un voyageur français.

AAust ReidGreat location near the lake, an easy drive to the three major Great Wall attractions and the food street is just a block away with some amazing restaurants, bars and even an 8 ball hall. The staff at the hotel were great and very attentive, especially with breakfast. Beef noodles were a great start to the day and the chef makes the hand-stretched noodles in front of you. The hotel manager had his honey moon in Australia and took time to introduce himself and make us feel welcome. Free easy parking underneath too. Rooms were clean with a good view. If we come back this way we will stay here again!

GGuest UserIt was my first time to Jiayuguan. My main itinerary was to visit Fantawild. Accommodation was the most important thing. I looked at many homestays online before coming and was attracted by the environment of this small courtyard. The small courtyard is very close to Fantawild, and the shuttle bus to the park is right at the door of the homestay. After moving into the small courtyard, the boss and his family were very kind and took the initiative to introduce the surrounding environment. It was like living in a relative's yard. I originally booked one day, and then extended my stay for two days. It was relatively comfortable, quiet and convenient overall. I will choose to stay here next time.

Only one comment that we booked non-smoking rooms but the hotel gave us the smoking room so the smell was not so good. Please check customers’s request at the check-in time.
