GGuest UserThe room is clean and tidy. It's the first time I've seen sofa covers changed every time. The design style is very unique, the service attitude is also great, the luggage is transported, there is water and ice cream downstairs, the breakfast is also rich, and there is laundry service. The overall quality is absolutely first-class, you can rest assured to stay there, the swimming pool upstairs is very clean, you must go to cool down in the evening, you can see the Golden Pagoda and the Silver Pagoda upstairs, and it's perfect with some beer and ice cubes. It's convenient to go out and you can rent an electric car 🛵, it's very convenient to go anywhere, ride a few minutes later to have delicious barbecue, and come back to drink fresh watermelon juice, there is a small courtyard, a sand pool (with toys for children) and a bar downstairs, it's very charming, everyone must come when you go to Mangshi! It's really worth it!
GGuest UserUpon arriving in Mangshi, a unique Southeast Asian charm immediately enveloped me. However, unlike the humid heat of Thailand, the air here was dry and crisp, invigorating me. My driver, a local Dai man, warmly introduced me to the local customs and traditions along the way, and even thoughtfully recommended the morning market the next day, where a variety of delicious snacks would make my mouth water.
I stayed in a guesthouse in the ancient Dai town. Standing on the balcony, I watched the sunset slowly sink below the horizon, the golden afterglow spilling onto the rooftops of the ancient town, as if draping it in a golden veil, serene and beautiful.
In the evening, I visited the Golden Pagoda and the Silver Pagoda. As night fell, the two pagodas, illuminated by lights, shimmered and sparkled, like the most dazzling stars in the night sky, breathtakingly beautiful.
For dinner, I took a taxi to Dehong, a place known for its enchanting cuisine. The sheer variety of food there was dazzling. I tried several local specialties, which were not only delicious but also reasonably priced. The total cost was only 75 yuan, which was excellent value for money!
AAnonymous UserThe guesthouse has a great location, not far from the Jinta and Yinta Ancient Towns. Our room was on the fourth floor, and the stairs were quite high with no elevator. Climbing the stairs after a day of sightseeing was really tiring. The price was a little over 400 yuan during the National Day holiday. The room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast and service were quite good.
AAnTrieThe reception was professional, and the staff was very helpful throughout our stay. For example when assisting us with the washing machine, as foreign tourists are unable to read the Chinese characters on the machine’s control panel. We also had an issue with the television and they solved it immediately.
They also kindly helped us organize a taxi to Ruili.
The room was very spacious and equipped with everything you need. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and soft. We especially appreciated that the window could be opened. The shower had excellent water pressure, and the water temperature remained stable at all times.
The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, including soups, vegetables, eggs, salad, congee, pastries, fruit, steamed dumplings, and various drinks.
A big thank you to the entire team – we felt completely at ease and would highly recommend this hotel.
GGuest UserI chose this B&B because of the courtyard. When I got there, it was much better than I imagined. The courtyard was as beautiful as in the pictures. We arrived very late, and the owner was still waiting for us in the store. Under the rain, there was a bear waiting for guests at the door with a warm lamp on 🐻~. It has been raining these past few days, and my bestie and I were too lazy to go out, so we just looked at the beautiful scenery in the lobby, chatted with the owner, and ordered nine takeouts a day, hahahaha. I teased the two mimi from time to time. Well, it would be nice if they were more intimate. These past few days have been quite pleasant, if the weather is good. We can also play in the swimming pool. I think the household items are also very good. I am waiting for the owner to send the link. And I will come again next time~ I hope the mimi will come to say hello to me (wiping tears)
GGuest UserAdvantages: 1. Mangshi area is small, and the hotel is located in the city center, making it very convenient to get around by electric scooter. 2. The hotel is a small duplex; the beds are upstairs. The hotel also has gym equipment and laundry facilities. Those who want to do laundry or use the gym can choose these options. 3. The hotel reception service is excellent, and a buffet breakfast is served at 9 am. 4. Parking is convenient and free; it's just a short walk away.
Disadvantages: 1. Because it's a duplex, you have to climb stairs to use the restroom. Those who dislike climbing stairs might find it inconvenient. 2. The hotel parking lot entrance/exit has a small bend, which might make it difficult to enter for large cars.
Overall, it's recommended.
GGuest UserThe hotel's location is very convenient, close to the square and various attractions. The hotel thoughtfully arranged a free airport shuttle service. The rooms were large, clean, and relatively quiet, and there were many restaurants nearby. We originally booked three nights, planning to go to Tengchong on the 4th, but then learned that the 3rd and 4th were the Munao Zongge Festival, so we decided to stay in Mangshi. When we booked the second room, we opted for a room without breakfast, but Xiao Wang (the hotel manager) provided breakfast for us, which was very thoughtful. Because of our consecutive stay, the hotel offered afternoon tea. We enjoyed coffee and snacks on the eighth-floor terrace while gazing at the Golden and Silver Pagodas in the gentle breeze – it was incredibly pleasant. The two girls at the front desk, Xiao Wang and Xiao Zhang, were particularly attentive; knowing our flight was in the evening on the 5th, they specially arranged a late check-out for us and arranged for us to try the complimentary coffee and bracelet DIY activity in the lobby that afternoon. Room service was prompt and attentive, and the room was equipped with Nongfu Spring water. Since we enjoy tea, they also provided plenty of mineral water each day. This stay was very pleasant and a great experience; I highly recommend it – it's excellent value for money.
WWoshiyewangVisited Mangshi on Jan 7, 2026, and chose to stay here for two nights. The room was quite spacious, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, complete with a smart toilet. However, the shower only had a half-glass partition door, so water would still splash out and wet the bath mat. The room also came with a voice-activated system, which was very convenient to use. In the hotel's backyard parking lot, there's a rest pavilion where it's really pleasant to drink tea and soak up the sun. Just a 2-3 minute walk from the hotel, there are plenty of breakfast spots, making it very convenient for morning meals. The 'Tree Pagoda' (Shubao Tower) attraction is also only about a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
一一起迷路The room is quite old and not very clean. There is mold in the bathroom, and the toilet paper provided is a very small roll. The shower pressure is strong, but there is mold on the floor in the shower area. I would appreciate better cleanliness and maintenance. However, the location is very good.
房间比较老旧,也不太干净。浴室有发霉的情况,提供的卫生纸是很小的一卷。淋浴水压很强,但淋浴区域的地面有霉菌。希望可以加强清洁和维护。不过地理位置很好。
GGuest UserReally good hotel to stay at. It is a couple of minutes walk from the bus station for Tengchong, and about 15 minutes walk from the southern bus station for Ruili. Lots of supermarkets etc around, a bread shop, a fruit market up the road a bit. Room was very clean. Xiaoguo was really nice and patient with me (I don't speak Chinese). Definitely recommend staying here.
