AAnonymous UserLiving on the top of the mountain is a great experience! After the tourists in the scenic spot have dispersed, they enjoy the beauty of the entire mountain top and see the sunset and sunrise. The whole process of Yidaochang is very patient and meticulous, and the chat is very pleasant. He took us to the palace at night and made a vivid and interesting explanation. The quality of sleep is also very good, I haven't slept for a long time with such a good quality. There is also a hidden advantage to live here: burn head incense! Just in time for the day is fifteen, and I went to burn head incense at six o'clock in the morning. A bowl of hot noodles for breakfast, Yidaochang also made coffee, and it was very pleasant to drink coffee with the wind on the top of the mountain. A very unforgettable and very happy journey, highly recommended to stay (live on the top of the mountain has the unique advantage of the top of the mountain, if you are pursuing the standard of a five-star hotel, just... don't want it and want it:)

SshanzhilinThe Ramada Zhenjiang boasts an excellent location, right by Beigu Mountain and directly facing the Beigu Bay pier. Strolling along the riverside boardwalk, you're treated to stunning views of mountains, water, and the river – the scenery is absolutely breathtaking.
The hotel service is incredibly thoughtful; they even gave us a complimentary upgrade to a one-bedroom suite, which significantly enhanced our stay. The room itself was comfortable and cozy, and the breakfast buffet offered a rich variety of options, including freshly made noodles and wontons. Staying here was truly pleasant and great value for money!

Cleanliness: Excellent too! I used to think that old hotels might have average cleanliness, but this one was exceptional.
The room provided plenty of disposables and small drinks, which was a very thoughtful touch. A future renovation would be even better! Five-star rating!

LLewis001Despite our late arrival, the front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and efficient during check-in. They even thoughtfully upgraded our room and provided complimentary warm milk to help us sleep. The room itself was very comfortable, the mattress was incredibly comfortable, and the excellent soundproofing ensured a perfect night's sleep. Breakfast was delicious, offering a great variety of choices, and the service staff were courteous and attentive. In the afternoon, the front desk proactively offered us a complimentary late check-out, which was incredibly thoughtful! Overall, an absolutely wonderful experience!

As soon as I entered the lobby, the atmospheric decoration style attracted me. It was full of high-end sense and the layout was very festive, suitable for taking pictures and punching in! The room surprised me even more, the space was spacious and bright, and the details showed the quality. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry, and the toiletries are of high quality and very comfortable to use. The hotel's service is first-class. From the front desk to the cleaning, everyone is smiling, especially the front desk Xiao Zhang makes me feel very warm. I also sent a small snack intimately, super love. The hotel's supporting facilities are also very complete, self-service laundry and robots to send things into the room, we ordered takeaway, and soon sent it over! !
This stay experience is perfect, the price is super high, I strongly recommend everyone to feel it, I am avoiding the peak of travel, no need to crowd people, not bad [victory][victory][victory]

AAnonymous UserThere aren't many hostels in Zhenjiang, but this one is pretty good. It's opposite the train station, and there are shopping malls downstairs, making it very convenient for eating and shopping. There are plenty of food options. The hostel is on the fourth floor (top floor), so it's very quiet. The owner is also very nice. The toilet has only one squat toilet and two shower stalls.

GGlenysMGreenTree Inn, Jurong (Jiangsu Province) is an oldie but a goody! I stayed there for 5 nights in late August/early September (2025). At first glance I was a bit dubious, but it turned out to be a really great place to stay. I felt very safe there and in the neighbourhood (day and night) and would stay there again.
Excellent customer service ..… the Reception and cleaning staff were all really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
The first room I was allocated smelt of cigarette smoke (no thank you!), but I was immediately moved into a nicer smelling room, which was absolutely spotless, quite large, and had a nice new smart tv, air con, an opening window with a flyscreen and security bars (essential for a ground floor room), nice solid furniture, pure white linen (impressively imprinted with “GreenTree Inn”) and a clean, comfy doona and pillows. A standard hard’ish Chinese bed, but I find them quite comfy.
The old carpet runner along the length of the long ground floor hallway (where my room was) is a relic from way back when, but it was clean and well maintained, as was the rest of the hotel that I could see.
The shower head needed fixing, but that’s an annoyingly common problem in pretty much every budget ＞ mid range hotel I’ve ever stayed in, in China.
The hotel is only about 20 metres from Jurong Chongming Subway Station. Local bus stop almost at the front door (& across the road). The entrance to the old cobbled road (no cars allowed) & all its little shops is across the road at the lights, and a large pharmacy at the entrance (near the “archway”). Electric scooters galore to hire (via the AliPay or WeChat apps) outside the subway. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance once you get past the trades shops (plumbing supplies etc).
My only gripe about GreenTree Inn Jurong (& this is a gripe I have for many hotels etc throughout China) is that smoking is allowed on the premises. I think it’s the worst it’s been since 2002 when I first started travelling to China. It’s awful walking into foyers and lifts that reek of cigarette smoke, and copping wafts of the smoke along hallways from smokers in their rooms (& ashtrays at lift entrances), and horrible arriving tired after a long flight and long trek from airports etc, only to discover you then have to request a room change to escape the smoke, and start all over again. No matter how accommodating the staff are, I could easily do without that hassle and the horrible smell.
In my opinion, hotels etc in China need to up their game where that’s concerned, and follow the lead of the many countries which have banned cigarette smoking in all public buildings (including hotels), all public indoor and outdoor spaces, anywhere near children and shopping centres, on and near public transport etc etc etc.
