Shelby County Hotels with Parking

The shower pressure was extremely low, and the water did not get close to hot in my first room, and the toilet did not work. The couch was counted as one bed, and the iron useless. This information was not disclosed on the reservation website. Imagine getting ready for a funeral while the toilet, shower, and iron were all broken, my 11-year-old daughter is a type 1 diabetic, the refrigerator was not cold, and the medication needed to be refrigerated, it eventually warmed up after 2-3 hours. After my family funeral services, I came back to the hotel to relax, so me and family proceeded to the pool where, after changing rooms, I discovered cockroaches by the pool (”I showed the front desk the pictures”). It was incredibly troubling not being able to rest and unwind because I was already mentally and physically exhausted. I was of course offered points I guess for a free stay but actually the room should have been taken off.  Again, the ladies at the front desk were very sweet but unfortunately, I was not able to relax. I unfortunately, will not post pictures because it was already disclosed to the front desk. I just had to rant due to my troubles.

My first approach when I arrived on site wasn’t good. The staff that was helping me was a lady. I didn’t get her name but she wasn’t friendly. Her demeanor wasn’t there at all like she was rushing. No biggie. I didn’t complain. I stayed in town for 3 days. When I got to my room it was a ADA room. I didn’t ask for. I didn’t complain. Turned tv on and could not watch. I called front desk the lady gave me such a lame excuse. Maintenance came. He spoke no English. Had to translate on phone. He fixed. But it immediately went off again. I started to ask for a new room all together but decided to just write review. I feel like they save the good rooms for the airport staff like the attendants and pilots as I seen a lot of them coming and going. River view not worth it at all on my end.

Overall very low quality for a Hampton Inn. Nice staff, very old building and sketchy adjacent parking garage, elevator broken, pan handlers galore, too close to annoying homeless, ******** ***, and drunks. I walked to FedEx, then to post office, and back to the Hampton Inn today (3 blocks total) and an older man on a bicycle followed me for five minutes shouting insults and racist slurs because a i refused to give him money as I exited FedEx. There is an abundant police presence in the area but if you leave the main three blocks of Beale, drunks are hassling people for alcohol. Very sad for the well-intentioned and hard-working locals. 👎. The breakfast at Hampton Inn was pretty good except for the gravy. This was a grey soup, not sausage gravy. Biscuits were terrific as was the staff person on duty.

The hotel itself is in a very safe part of town and they have overnight security that drives the parking lot to make sure your vehicle is safe. I will say that the shower was not clean and had hair in it. Also, the sink was very clogged. I had to ask twice for them to come service it. By then, it was time to check out. Also, I requested extra towels with the front desk, in person, never got them. So I’ll say that the service is not the best. Otherwise, it’s safe and clean (outside of the shower and sink).

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in . Staff super friendly love this place . Bar is awesome love the video games to play in lobby . The staff is super friendly an helpful . Food is delicious . Dog friendly our puppy was so happy . Room is awesome bed is super comfortable. The shower is amazing staying another night for sure one of the best places ever !!!

This is a great hotel with nice clean rooms and comfy bed. Lovely big TV in the room with accessible HDMI port for bringing your own device. I know you don’t book into a hotel to lie and watch TV but it’s nice to catch up on things after a long day out. Location is excellent as no more than 10 min walk to downtown Beale St, and 20 mins to Sun Studios, where the magic began. Reception being renovated while we were there so not quite as functional as it should be but staff were terrific and incredibly polite. Rocky the concierge/manager was a bundle of fun and provided some great info on what to do in this great city 👍

My experience was great. The service was awesome. The room wasn’t the cleanest. The amenities on the bathroom sink looked to be reused. The lotion bottle was filthy, with what looked like food stains. They was what appeared to be a juice stain in the bathroom floor, and there was hair in the bathroom floor. Other than that everything else was good.

The motel is very close to the center so it is very easy and comfortable to get there. The good thing was that it is in a gated property so at least it feels safe. I reserved a room for three people but they provided just two sets of towels. The room had the basic. TV, no fridge. The main problem I had was the clean. The room did not feel clean at all. The beds were changed, but under the bed the dust and dirt was disgusting. The floor probably has not been clean from a very long time and there was a condom wrap open under the bed. The walls and doors had spots all over . Overpriced for what you get.
