"It's a pretty good sunset view on the beach with a cocktail restaurant either. Clean and fresh room good material. I can jump from the bed to the pool 😁 I love it. If you are looking for a great hotel in a good location this is your answer. Oh it's good for kids as well."

"We stayed at rawi warin for 4 nights in one of the hillside rooms. The room was spacious with a small balcony. The bed in particular felt huge as it was 2 beds pushed together. As other reviews mention, the hillside rooms are about a 10 mins walk away from the main pool. Walking is quite pleasant though as you are surrounded by greenery. And there's a closer hillside pool that has a great view. The facilities were great esp. the main pool which was huge, chlorine free, and very empty past 6pm - we were often the only ones using it in the evening. Also enjoyed the table tennis and pool tables. My only piece of feedback is that the resort could be better lit at night - it was too dark walking down paths/stairs. Loved seeing lizards and monkeys around the resort. Didn't try the hotel food much - there are some good restaurants a short walk away. The stretch of beach attached to the resort was beautiful and good for swimming."

"The place is a little run down and needs some maintenance, but we didn’t mind so much. The price for what you get is reasonable, breakfast is amazing, I especially loved the soup option which is gentle on stomach in the morning. Room is HUGE, probably the largest room I’ve ever stayed at. Environment is beautiful, plenty of flowers, trees and bushes to look at. Simply a paradise."

"The hotel is located a little away from the main road that runs along the coast, so you can't hear any noise. It’s probably not very convenient to get to it on foot in the dark, there’s really no lighting, cell phone towers stick out nearby in the dark, we were by car, so it’s not critical). I liked the hotel itself, the stay was comfortable, the room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable, the staff were friendly, upon check-in we were treated to a welcome drink, which was very useful in the hot weather."

"What an incredible place! We’re staying at the Twin Lotus Resort & Spa (adults-only during this season) on Koh Lanta, and we couldn’t be happier. The location is fantastic: it’s right on Klong Dao Beach, a super long stretch of beautiful white sand. Even at low tide, it’s all soft sand—no rocks or coral to worry about. In the mornings, it’s pure bliss to walk for miles along the shoreline with the calm sea and peaceful atmosphere. Absolutely lovely. The resort itself is spectacular. Surrounded by tall palm trees and lush tropical gardens, it feels like a real oasis of calm. No kids around (strictly adults only), so you can truly breathe in the peace and tranquility—perfect for relaxing and disconnecting. The infinity pool is stunning, positioned right in front of the beach with comfy sun loungers and high-quality towels. You can spend the whole day switching between the pool, the sea, and a shady spot under the palms… heaven! The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive—always smiling, super helpful, and the service is top-notch. Breakfast is excellent with a great variety and everything tastes delicious. In general, the food at the resort restaurants is really good, both in quality and presentation. Honestly, it’s rated as 4 stars, but in terms of experience, it outshines many 5-star places we’ve stayed at before. I have no idea why it doesn’t have 5 stars officially—it’s spotless, beautifully maintained, and the overall vibe is just perfect. If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing spot on Koh Lanta, don’t hesitate—come to Twin Lotus Resort & Spa. You won’t regret it for a second. "I chose Layana for the location and free shuttle service from/to Krabi airport. Facility was a bit old, but clean and well-maintained. House keeping staff was very friendly and neat. They checked in again in the evening for extra amenity every evening. Restaurant was great - deep-fried pork rib and pad Thai. During the day at the pool, they offered water & pineapple for free. Though it rained during my stay, I enjoyed my slow time by the pool. I would recommend for people who want quiet, clean environment with good service. And it is also closer to the diving port area (free pick-up/drop-off)."

"Front desk not very welcoming when check in. Did the job checking in and explaining the deposit, room, breakfast restaurant, beach location. Issued us the room key and informed us the room direction, then we realised the check in is completed and we can be on the way to the room (1st time without hotel staff of this type/size of resort bringing us, not a big deal). Strangely one staff did ”pop up” after we left the reception building, offer to bring us to the room. We rejected since we figured we can manage. One good point is we get to check in earlier than the designated time. Room has unpleasant smell when first enter, but got use to it after a day (after house keeping next day). Room size is big, has a bath tub (did not use), a bed room and living room. No TV in bed room, TV in living room but limited TV program. Have two huge pool, one among the blocks, one nearer to the beach. Initial impression was not great, but after a few days, got used and get to enjoy the stay. Good location (good local restaurants, convenient store, laundry shop nearby), great pool, breakfast consider ok but could be better. Stayed during the end of the popular season, resort not crowded. Will I stay again? Yes, for the pool and during low season, less tourists. No, will try out other resorts along the same stretch of the beach."

"Booked four nights with three different room types during Chinese New Year. When we moved to the family room, there was a power outage from 3 to 5 PM, and it got incredibly hot inside. The living room was downstairs, with two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. The hotel is quite large for the island, but the overall facilities are very old and outdated. The front desk service was okay, but there was a male waiter in the restaurant who spoke a little Chinese and was very rude. When we were eating in their restaurant, he started clearing our plates before we were even finished, as if he was rushing us out. We tried a few restaurants on the island, and this one had the worst service by far! Oh, and the breakfast in the morning was absolutely terrible, with hardly anything worth eating."

"The whole experience was lovely. A couple of days before our arrival, I contacted the hotel via chat, asking if they could prepare a surprise for my partner’s birthday, and they did! All staff were super friendly and helpful. I wish I could stay there longer."

"Mornings in the mountains were magical: sunshine, sudden downpours, misty clouds, the calls of monkeys, the singing of birds... Suddenly, I found myself thinking that trekking up and down the slopes two or three times a day wasn't so bad after all! [grinning emoji] As my departure approaches, I'd like to share my review of this hotel. Overall, our stay was incredibly comfortable. The room was spacious, and the balcony was enormous – even bigger than the room itself! (If you're not worried about the local monkeys making off with your belongings, you can really spread out there! [laughing-crying emoji]) The air conditioning was excellent, the water pressure was strong, and surprisingly, the water wasn't salty at all. The staff were exceptionally warm and friendly. Once you head down the hill, within a five-minute walk, you'll find everything you need: the beach, a 7-Eleven, a laundry shop, travel agencies, and the famous Lanta Pizza. The hotel also has its own scooter rentals available, and you can usually bargain the price down to match what you'd find at shops outside. If you inquire when booking, there are a few room types located lower down the hill. However, the two-bedroom villas and rooms near the infinity pool are all situated on the ridge. For young couples who appreciate peace and quiet, I highly recommend these options. But for multi-generational families with elderly members and young children, like ours, I'd advise choosing carefully.
