An absolute treasure B&B, the owner is very affectionate. It perfectly restores the original flavor of the old house, built on the cliff, using local materials, and the spirit of a heritage hotel. The imported gravel roads and ginkgo trees are as romantic as an oil painting in the autumn season. The design and color scheme of the water bar in the swimming pool are also very unique. I like the woven bamboo basket lamps made of ancient trees the most. They are gorgeous but not eye-catching and will not affect stargazing at night at all. There are popular water sports such as kayaking in every corner of the room. This was originally a paradise for cyclists. For guests who like to hunt for novelties, this is the best choice. The only thing I pointed out was that the slippers were a little slippery on the varnished floor, and the breakfast could have been richer.

This is the fourth Lostvilla I've visited, and it's actually quite close to the first one (Biyu branch) – so close that I even recognized the Heytea store in Anji County where I placed an order last time. If the Biyu branch represents the original vision, where you could see the founder meticulously documenting every step of his renovation, transforming an old house into a wondrous frame, then the Green Gables branch signifies the transition from an agrarian civilization to an industrial one, entering the steam age. Lostvilla now boasts a mature and replicable business model and values – likely fueled by capital (my guess) – evolving from a personal passion or sentiment into a brand, and thereby rallying a team to consistently pursue a shared goal day in and day out. I also recommend the 'Dragon's Haunt Rafting' which is about a 10-minute drive from the hotel – I'd call it another 'steam age' version of a tourism product, haha.

This is basically the Anji version of Nara! The guesthouse has various themed hot springs, and you might even stumble upon free-roaming deer – super therapeutic! ❤️🩹 We booked a private hot spring room facing the mountain, and the view was absolutely stunning. The room came with a projector, and the entire guesthouse is surrounded by bamboo forests. Waking up to bird song and the sound of the stream in the morning was pure bliss. The breakfast wontons were incredibly delicious. Definitely another reason to visit Anji!

It truly feels like a return to childhood days in the countryside. We stayed in a charming cabin this time, which had a large balcony directly overlooking the grand canyon. The room's layout was well-designed, and the bathroom featured a separate wet and dry area, making it clean and tidy. The proprietress was very friendly and always quick to help with any issues we had.
