Scenic Hotels in Zhanjiang

"Pros: The welcoming service at the entrance was excellent – they proactively opened car doors and helped with luggage. The hotel's Chinese restaurant had delicious food, making for a pleasant dining experience. Cons: The room type was ordinary, and the pricing was a bit high. Family-friendly amenities were a major weakness; the kids' club was tiny, and there was no separate children's pool. There were too few staff at the front desk, with only two people handling check-ins, leading to long waiting times. Getting to the beach required crossing a road, so it wasn't direct access. The biggest inconvenience was the lack of a foot-washing station on the hotel's ground floor. After playing on the beach, we had to go to the public restroom in the plaza to rinse off, which was very troublesome, especially with seniors and children. It's acceptable for a meal or a short stay."

"On my way home, I decided to stay at this hotel again. I've stayed here in previous years, so it's familiar and reliable, reducing the chances of a bad experience. It's pretty average: 1. The breakfast, perhaps due to fewer guests, had a reduced variety and quality compared to my last stay. 2. There's a small children's play area (a simple slide) next to the lobby front desk. My child excitedly put down their luggage and rushed downstairs to play (it was already past 9 PM). After playing for just a minute or two, they were told by staff that it couldn't be used due to some government fire safety inspection, as it would obstruct the fire doors. Here's a suggestion: It would be better to put up a sign in advance next time, or simply dismantle it completely until the inspection is over. Otherwise, isn't it ridiculous to go through the motions of an inspection, claiming strict adherence to standards, when the play area is still there? Firstly, it was already 9:30 PM, and secondly, the issue was that the items themselves affected the opening and closing of the fire doors, not that someone playing in the area was the problem. Please get your logic straight."

"The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. They upgraded me to a top-floor executive room with an amazing, unobstructed view. The hotel is conveniently located above Zhanjiang's famous food street, with McDonald's, KFC, and Starbucks right downstairs. The area was lively at night, with lots of university students around. The large underground parking lot made parking a breeze."

"The hotel is a decent five-star standard. The front desk staff were great, very warm and attentive. What really let it down was the housekeeping. The room smelled strongly of a damp, fishy odor. Housekeeping came and just 'half-heartedly' flushed the drain and opened the window. When I returned in the evening, the smell was still very strong, to the point of being nauseating. It was clearly caused by a dirty, damp mop. I called housekeeping again, and they asked me how I wanted it handled. That's when I also noticed the duvet cover smelled fishy too. After a long hassle, I was finally able to sleep, barely. Also, the room included afternoon tea from 2:00-5:00. We went at 4 pm, and they said the cake would take another hour and a half to be ready, which was too late. You could have easily prepared it and delivered it to the room instead of making excuses not to provide it, as tourists aren't going to stay in just to wait for your afternoon tea."

"Comfort & Space: The room was remarkably spacious, impeccably clean, and designed with a great balance of modern luxury and cozy comfort. The bed felt like sleeping on a cloud, with high-quality linens and a fantastic pillow selection that ensured a great night's sleep. Amenities: The tech integration was a great touch—from the automated lighting to the easily accessible charging ports. The bathroom felt like a private spa, complete with a powerful rainfall shower, deep soaking tub, and premium toiletries. The View: Waking up to the [city skyline / ocean view / garden view] every morning was definitely a highlight of the stay."

"It's about a 30-minute drive from both Zhanjiang West and North Stations, so the transportation is very convenient. Plus, it's only a 10-15 minute walk to Chikan Old Street. There are also plenty of late-night snack options in the nearby small streets. The bedding in the room was very clean, and the cleaning lady was wonderful. We were traveling with a child and asked her for extra bottles of water both days, and she was always very enthusiastic. Don't bother going to the restaurant across the street. The pictures look great, but it's a huge rip-off. The Zhanjiang chicken wasn't even cooked through and was impossible to chew, and a plate of vegetables cost 28 yuan..."

"I arrived at the hotel around 8 PM. It's located down a narrow alleyway, so if you're not a confident driver, be careful. The parking spaces are tiny and cramped! Check-in at the front desk was quick and efficient, no dawdling. After taking the elevator up, the hallway wasn't air-conditioned and was quite hot. I was just thinking about getting to my room to cool off. But once I got to the room, it was a disaster! It was incredibly hot, even hotter than the hallway! The air conditioning wasn't on, and the windows were open, making the room a sweltering 30 degrees Celsius! Couldn't they have turned on the AC beforehand? Don't other hotels usually have the room AC running? To be fair, once the AC was on, it was powerful enough, and the temperature dropped within about half an hour! The room has a large TV with screen mirroring capabilities, which is a nice touch. It also displays the real-time status of the washer and dryer, which is very convenient for guests who need to do laundry. The bathroom sink also has a small desktop trash can, which is thoughtful and handy! The bedding is quite comfortable, especially the pillows! Food delivery is super convenient, with a robot delivering it quickly!"

"Extremely satisfied! The room was clean and tidy, with no smoke smell, and we even got a room upgrade. The breakfast buffet was very rich and delicious. Highly recommended! The staff (Da Wa) even gave us a 50% discount on the buffet for the children. Plus, you can see warships while eating breakfast, which the kids absolutely loved. The promenade downstairs is perfect for a leisurely stroll."

"A really great experience. The hotel is very close to Chikan Old Street, and right next to a large shopping mall. It's clean, tidy, comfortable, and convenient. The hot water is excellent. It's not far from the high-speed rail station, and transportation is smooth."
