"Terrible. The room was tiny, stuffy, and had a strong mix of musty and sewage smells. The bed sheets were dirty. When I asked for them to be changed, I was told the cleaning staff had already left for the day, and changing rooms wasn't an option either. Eventually, they just gave me a new sheet to change myself. After diving, all our clothes were wet, and there was nowhere to hang them to dry. The room was so small we couldn't even open our luggage."

The staff barely have any service awareness, and the room's facilities are simple and outdated. Overall, it felt like staying in a cheap motel. For around 1000, it's definitely not worth it. I don't recommend staying here. I stayed one night and then switched to a much better hotel next door for the same price point; they're not even in the same league."

"This place offers incredible value for money. We booked two double rooms and one triple room; the triple room was noticeably much larger than the doubles, but that's not the main point. The best part is being able to walk directly into the sea from the room – it was so much fun! The water is crystal clear, with lots of starfish, sea urchins, and coral. We even saw many Nemos. At night, there were plenty of fish, and a large sea turtle even swam past the boardwalk."

"Bum Bum Island Resort is located in the outer waters of Semporna, a 45-minute speedboat ride away. The water quality is excellent, and the environment is absolutely beautiful. The wooden beach villas are spacious, each equipped with a king-size bed and a single bed, and fully furnished. The price of 1560 RMB per night includes breakfast and airport transfers from Tawau. The staff are friendly and the service is excellent. Highly recommended!"

"First, we gathered at the jetty, and then the second picture shows the bus taking us back to Tawau Airport from Semporna. It was fantastic; I'm so glad I chose this. The value of this long-standing five-star hotel keeps increasing. The service was excellent, and extra meals were served promptly. The buggy service was also very quick. The underwater scenery was even more vibrant and colorful. The sunset was also beautiful. There were so many sea turtles, we encountered them everywhere, along with manta rays and various schools of fish. It was breathtaking. I'll definitely go again if I have the chance. I've already recommended it to my friends!"

The pool is a bit small, but since it's rarely used, you can often have it all to yourself. The room boasts three sides of windows, making it very bright and airy, and the air conditioning is excellent. I had a wonderfully comfortable two-day stay. The staff provided standard service and could communicate in Chinese via WeChat. Transfers and pickups were always punctual."

"1️⃣ The location is about 1.2km from the pier, a 20-minute walk or a hotel shuttle bus. However, the road there is very bad, with no sidewalks, making it somewhat dangerous at night. 2️⃣ The hotel is located in a courtyard. Check-in and hotel staff all work in the courtyard. If someone is talking outside, you can hear them inside, as there is virtually no soundproofing. Similarly, conversations inside can be heard by passersby outside. Those seeking privacy and quiet should think twice. 3️⃣ The rooms are very basic. There are no curtains, only Roman blinds. The bathroom doesn't even have curtains. 😰 If you stay on the first floor, there's practically no privacy at night. Why didn't they even bother with curtains? It's really unpleasant. 4️⃣ It's very noisy at night. There are all sorts of insect and bird chirps, motorcycles passing by, and a constant, inexplicable mechanical humming outside my room. It was incredibly noisy. Then, at 4 AM, they started chanting prayers through a loudspeaker next door. I basically spent the whole night surrounded by noise; it was torture! 😩 5️⃣ Breakfast was just an egg and a bowl of noodles. After that, you could go island hopping. In short, I wouldn't recommend staying here at this price. It's just too noisy. The most important thing about staying in a hotel is rest, and the room lacks privacy without curtains. It rains frequently here, and there's a musty, watery smell on the first floor. It's a very average hotel, not worth the price. Personally, I think if you're going to be noisy anyway, you might as well stay near the pier."

"Old Chen and General Chen were both very dedicated. The scenery was stunning, and the overwater bungalow's location was fantastic, offering expansive views. We enjoyed plenty of seafood, but you need to keep an eye on the local fishermen selling their catch. Remember to bargain when buying seafood!"
