"Hotel location is good, right in front of the public jetty. Nearby have many seafood restaurants, pharmacy and supermarket, mamak stalls. Very convenient, all walking distance, don't really need a car to move around. Standard Room is ok, size -wise. However, the room is abit dirty as the floor is very sticky. Toilet is basic, quite run-down. You need to climb one flight of stairs, so make sure you nothing too heavy. Sometimes you'll have the smell / smoke from the seafood restaurant downstairs in the hallway. Very thin walls, can easily hear other guests' noise."

"The island is wonderful, the water is clear and there are lots of fishes and tortures. I'd love to come back to the island but not the resort. The reception staff is not professional. They gave our room key to another guest, and we found him entering our room while we are inside. Food was not tasty and very poor options. I ended up mostly eating bread, butter, and pineapple for the three meals. We wanted to take a private boat at 6pm because our flight was 930, but they insisted to leave at 4, we paid 850 MR for the private ride but we ended up coming to the airport very early and other guests shared the ride with us. They should have offered to split the payment."

"Facilities: The in-room facilities are pretty basic, enough for sleeping and essential toiletries, but there are no toiletries provided, so you'll need to bring your own. The restaurant facilities are quite good; breakfast was delicious, and it was very convenient to buy seafood to supplement our meals – the prepared dishes tasted as good as those from a high-end restaurant. The outdoor facilities also felt very relaxing and comfortable. Cleanliness: The overall cleanliness was good, but the rooms were a bit old, making them feel less pristine. Those with a strong aversion to germs might find it a bit difficult to accept. Environment: There's a lot of seaweed growing below the restaurant, which is a feeding ground for large sea turtles. They come to 'eat' early in the morning, so remember to quietly sit in the restaurant at 6:30 AM sharp to watch them. You can even go down and swim with them! Visiting the Mabul Island Resort is super convenient, just a short walk away. Going early in the morning helps you avoid the midday crowds, allowing you to enjoy a beautiful and peaceful photographic paradise all to yourself. Service: The proprietress provided excellent, meticulous service and had a wonderful demeanor. Small suggestion: The rooms could use a slight upgrade, perhaps by adding small shelves for personal belongings."

The air conditioning was good, but the water pressure was a bit low. Overall, the service was good, but although life jackets were advertised as free, they still charged me to rent them. We snorkeled nearby, but the water wasn't very clear. It was okay for a light swim, but if you want to snorkel, avoid the shore. We then went island hopping."

"1️⃣ The location is about 1.2km from the pier, a 20-minute walk or a hotel shuttle bus. However, the road there is very bad, with no sidewalks, making it somewhat dangerous at night. 2️⃣ The hotel is located in a courtyard. Check-in and hotel staff all work in the courtyard. If someone is talking outside, you can hear them inside, as there is virtually no soundproofing. Similarly, conversations inside can be heard by passersby outside. Those seeking privacy and quiet should think twice. 3️⃣ The rooms are very basic. There are no curtains, only Roman blinds. The bathroom doesn't even have curtains. 😰 If you stay on the first floor, there's practically no privacy at night. Why didn't they even bother with curtains? It's really unpleasant. 4️⃣ It's very noisy at night. There are all sorts of insect and bird chirps, motorcycles passing by, and a constant, inexplicable mechanical humming outside my room. It was incredibly noisy. Then, at 4 AM, they started chanting prayers through a loudspeaker next door. I basically spent the whole night surrounded by noise; it was torture! 😩 5️⃣ Breakfast was just an egg and a bowl of noodles. After that, you could go island hopping. In short, I wouldn't recommend staying here at this price. It's just too noisy. The most important thing about staying in a hotel is rest, and the room lacks privacy without curtains. It rains frequently here, and there's a musty, watery smell on the first floor. It's a very average hotel, not worth the price. Personally, I think if you're going to be noisy anyway, you might as well stay near the pier."

The location is very strategic as it is near to the fish market and the restaurant. They also provide a space(balcony) to dry the wet clothes, convenient to us as we are diving there (dry the suit). The most good point is they provide cleaning service! I really recommend it! I forget to take the picture, loll."

"We really really enjoyed our stay in Lato Lato. Location and view is extremely superb. Many other resorts don’t have this unblocked view of the sea. There were so many starfish fish turtles just down stairs of our room it was amazing. Also there is a balcony in every room which is a steal deal for the money. For the money it’s worth it. Their snrkelong and scuba tours are also very reasonable The cons are hotel staff is not professional you need to ping them quite a lot to get to do basic stuff. Most people do not understand English but the reception lady can speak so that is okay. There are really no amenities like food snacks. We brought our own snacks. The food is up to each s preference. One thing was really bad they ran out of snorkelling gear. So we couldn’t snorkel the time we stayed there which is very bad cause they said they only keep 10 snorkels for the whole resort. But the staff made decorations for my bf s b day and also danced with us so they are simple and happy people just need some more responsibility. Overall for the price I think it’s really good stay if are okay to give up the cons :) We will be coming back for sure!"

"Unfortunately I had not taken any photos since I booked the room for only one night’s stay after staying at one of the water resorts off Semporna. It was a cosy room with two twin beds for my friend and I. What I love is the balcony with a long railing and a few hangers to dry our swimsuits after returning from our island hopping and snorkelling activities. So the hotel really understands the context well. Breakfast is sufficient as well. Will definitely recommend this hotel!"

"An excellent stay! Service: The service was absolutely fantastic. It was my friend's birthday on the day we checked in, and I casually asked the owner if they had any cake. To our surprise, that evening we received a homemade cake from the hotel restaurant! They even played 'Happy Birthday' music, and the owner treated us to special cocktails and desserts. And the cake was on the house! Truly, a huge thank you to them! The hotel's restaurant, in my opinion, is incredibly good. My friend and I stayed for two nights and ordered a ton of dishes every evening. The menu offers a great variety, and you can't go wrong with anything – we didn't have a single bad dish. Around 7 PM, you can ask the front desk to have a staff member guide you to see fireflies. P.S. Seeing lots of fireflies depends on luck. We were quite lucky that day and saw many. The staff even helped us catch some and placed them on our hands. There's also a parrot on the hotel's pathway that speaks three languages, which was really entertaining."

"**Environment:** The overall environment was truly terrible. Despite claiming to be a 'villa hotel,' it's actually just a collection of independent houses nearby, with extremely tiny rooms where I couldn't even fully open a single suitcase. The unpaved roads were so poor, dragging luggage was impossible. The staircases were completely dark and unlit, and upon entering on the first day, I even twisted my ankle on a hole in the floor by the entrance. Even more absurdly, what should have been a window by the bed was merely covered by a painting. The moment dawn broke, blinding sunlight poured in, forcing me to buy an eye mask. **Facilities:** Towards the end of my stay, the toilet mysteriously began emitting a foul odor for no apparent reason. **Hygiene:** During my four-day stay, the room was never cleaned, nor were the trash bins emptied. I had to specifically request the front desk to have the trash bins changed. **Service:** The bathroom lacked toilet paper, requiring a trip to the front desk to get some. Similarly, bottled water had to be requested daily from the front desk."
