"Seriously clean! Other hotels I've stayed in might look okay at first glance, but I wouldn't dare examine them too closely. This one, however, is spotless, both overall and in every detail. Plus, the landlady is incredibly nice. We arrived early, and as soon as the previous guests checked out, she got us checked in and even upgraded our room! This isn't a paid review or anything; I honestly didn't have high expectations for Semporna's accommodation, but this place was a truly pleasant surprise. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in town."

"Great value! It's incredibly convenient to walk everywhere, with the pier just a 12-minute stroll away. Plus, it comes with a private bathroom. Some folks might complain about minor things, but you can't expect the world. The room is clean, the bathroom is fully equipped for showering, and you can even dry clothes on the second floor. Honestly, what more could you ask for? I'll definitely stay here again next time. It's a mere 3-minute walk to Wangwang Suduowu, 3 minutes to KFC, and there's a small supermarket right in front of the hotel, about 10 meters away. I genuinely think it's a fantastic spot!"

"Honestly, I never had high expectations for hotels in Semporna. This one was decent, about on par with a chain hotel during a holiday period, and it was clean enough. However, the balcony has glass and aluminum doors, so there's practically no soundproofing. You can hear kids downstairs and people working late at night. One night, I was unlucky enough to have a full night of unloading nearby. If you plan to stay here, bring earplugs.
**Cleanliness:** I'd say it's acceptable for Semporna, as the general standard isn't high. The only issue is that housekeeping is done, but not thoroughly.
**Service:** They were generally cooperative and helped resolve any issues. However, they are quite particular about the cleanliness of the room, especially the sheets and towels, when you check out. So, make sure not to stain them. Also, ensure you have both room cards when checking out.
**Environment:** The location is probably its best feature. It's convenient for island hopping and finding food and drinks downstairs.
If I had to recommend it, I'd say it's an option in Semporna, apart from the soundproofing – just remember to bring earplugs.
The breakfast, I have to say, is extremely poor. It's not even basic sustenance.

"This is probably the best hotel in Semporna town. The facilities and hardware are quite good, and the service is excellent. They even offer complimentary juice in the lobby. Just a heads-up when paying the deposit: make sure to have some cash on hand, as two of our cards didn't work. We stayed in a Sunrise Balcony King Room, and the view was absolutely stunning, directly overlooking the Semporna sea, with a glimpse of the infinity pool. Sitting on the balcony was incredibly relaxing. It's also very close to the town center and the pier. There's a small mall downstairs, along with KFC, Pizza Hut, and Haijing Seafood Restaurant, making dining and getting around super convenient. This hotel should definitely be your top choice for accommodation when visiting Semporna."

The resort is so amazing that I wish I could keep it a secret rather than share it with you. Located in the middle of the sea, with no other structures around, you can easily enjoy the sunrise, sunset, and the starry sky every day. During the daytime, you can participate in various water sports, and if you're lucky, you might spot a sea turtle at night.
**Food:**
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included when you book the hotel, so there’s no need to worry about meals. The resort offers seafood and local cuisine daily. Please note: Visitors should bring their own snacks and drinks before boarding the resort, as it only provides water, coffee, and tea.
**Facilities & Service:**
All the staff here will treat you kindly, even if there might be a language barrier (English is spoken here!). If you're afraid of swimming, the staff will accompany you while you're in the sea (life jackets are provided in each room). Each room also has a balcony with a lounge chair where you can relax, grab a beer, and do nothing but enjoy the soothing sea breeze.
You may not want to stay in the middle of nowhere like I did to escape from modern civilization, but I truly recommend staying at the resort for at least 2 nights. You'll definitely feel completely recharged!
Finally, I want to say that the view is so astonishing that I can hardly describe it with my limited English. You must visit this place yourself.

The staff were warm and attentive, even taking us to see fireflies, though there weren't many after the rain. We really appreciated the effort! The hotel offers a wide variety of dishes, so even those who don't eat seafood can find something delicious, like honey-glazed chicken wings and scallion beef – tasty and reasonably priced. I especially recommend the crispy bitter melon, cream prawns, and ginger and scallion stir-fried crab. The seafood is bought and then prepared, and it was the best meal we had in Semporna! If I ever come back, I'd definitely stay here again.

PP3DD3R5Upon arrival we faced a few challenges with the room, but that was promptly resolved. The setting is just gorgeous, the amenities are just enough. Considering the difficulty in maintaining such a unique and remote place we were not upset when there was no hot water. A cold shower was just fine.
The food is quite filling, and as most people stay here for just one night, if you stay more it does get quite repetitive.
The pool is salt water, same temperature as the sea, nice and warm. The steps down to the ocean are just a dream, and sunbathing on the net feels like you are on a catamaran in the middle of the ocean with the gentle waves crashing. The resort provided life jackets and snorkels, we spent most time in the water snorkeling, nearby corals are filled with colourful fish. The resort also provided a variety of water activities such as canoo and board.
What we were disappointed with was that there was no tea of coffee in the morning, they advised they had run out, and we found that difficult to cope with as there isn't anywhere you can buy.
Drinks are paid seoeratily, they only provide a fruit squash.
Apart from that the staff were always helpful and smiling, in th evening there's also some entertainment with karaoke and dancing.
We saw a little fireworks display which made our night even more special. I would definitely stay here again, overall it was a wonderful experience spending time here, is just little things they could improve.

However, there aren't many entertainment options; it's mainly about enjoying the view. I think a one-day visit is enough for a photo op; staying longer might get boring. If you stay more than two days, definitely try deep-sea diving – it seems really convenient!

Let's start with transportation: the hotel offers a shuttle service that picks you up directly from the airport, which was a huge convenience. The driver was incredibly friendly and even gave us tips on where to exchange money and reliable dive shops.
The accommodation was fantastic. The room had wooden floors and a high ceiling, and it felt clean and dry. The bed was super soft, and the pillows weren't flat at all. The big sea turtle plushie on the bed was absolutely adorable. Both the fan and air conditioning were quiet at night, ensuring a very restful sleep. The courtyard felt like a small garden with coconut trees, flower walls, and colorful signs. It was incredibly relaxing to just sit on the woven hanging chair and zone out; every photo I took turned out beautifully.
The food deserves a special mention. For dinner, we ordered steamed crab, mantis shrimp, soy-sauce steamed fish, and a plate of water spinach. The freshness was undeniable, and the cooking was perfectly executed, bringing out the natural flavors of the seafood without being overly salty or greasy.
Overall, the hotel's attention to detail in service was excellent: convenient transfers, clean and comfortable rooms, and high-quality food. If you're looking for a relaxing holiday in Semporna, I highly recommend staying here.

TTriptheuniverseSemporna is an interesting place to visit, with several islands surrounded by coral reefs for snorkeling and diving, more beautiful than many other snorkeling spots worldwide. Staying at this hostel instead of moving to an island resort is a good way to budget. And not only that, the fish market in Semporna is the most incredible one I have seen, seafood like lobsters, large shrimps, crabs so fresh, not even the one at Kota Kinabalu can be compared good as it was too. The DZ hostel lady staff was very helpful and can arrange for island trips at a reasonable price. The dorms are separated into boys and girls, something I truly appreciate. The bathrooms faced the afternoon sun, so they were dried easily and kept clean. Laundry by machine was offered free, a super plus for swimmers. The hostel also offered local Malay snack food for breakfast, and coffee or tea were always available. To be honest, it's a good budget place to stay while splurging on the island tours. It's a bit sad that no cooking is allowed here, even though there was a kitchen. Sad because the seafood mentioned above was so available. The facade of the building is nothing to boast about, and like many places, the external (streets, pavement, eyc) can be a mess. That should not deter visiting this part of the world mainly because the sea in this area is astoundingly replenished with marine life.

First and foremost, Xiaocheng was incredibly nice. He spoke Chinese perfectly, which is incredibly important for Chinese tourists! Feel free to contact him on WeChat with any questions, and he always responded quickly and patiently. The island hopping tour we booked with him was also fantastic! For example, the night we first arrived, we couldn't figure out how to turn on the water heater. We messaged the host, and he immediately replied, explaining it in a few words and solving the problem in seconds! This feeling of being so responsive was incredibly reassuring.
Secondly, the location was absolutely amazing! It was definitely one of the biggest highlights of this homestay. We mainly went island hopping, and the various piers were super convenient, usually a 10-minute walk away. We didn't have to get up too early to rush, and we could easily get back home after our trip, saving both time and energy. Even better, there was a large supermarket right across from our room window! Buying water, snacks, fruit, and daily necessities is just across the street. It's incredibly convenient! Evening shopping or resupply is quick and easy, without having to travel far. This is perfect for people like us who sail daily and need to restock at any time.
The room itself was clean and tidy, with everything you need. Living in town also means plenty of dining options, with restaurants and a 7-Eleven right downstairs.
Overall, it was a comfortable stay, hassle-free communication, and a super convenient location. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Semporna! Especially if you're looking for easy transportation, convenient shopping, and excellent communication with the host, this is the place to go! CChengyueThe experience at Semporna Sky Water Villas exceeded all expectations! My friend and I stayed in the Starlight Villa for two days, and it was truly beyond what we imagined. As soon as we arrived on the island, we were stunned by the scenery: the crystal-clear glass-like sea shimmered with various shades of blue and green under the sun. The wooden boardwalk, flanked by lush greenery, blended beautifully with the seascape – every photo we took looked like a postcard. The view from the Starlight Villa was simply incredible, with our balcony directly facing the ocean. In the evenings, we watched the orange and pink sunset paint the sea like a masterpiece, and at night, we could lie on the terrace and gaze at the Milky Way and countless stars. It was so romantic, we were speechless. The room facilities were clean and thoughtful; the wooden floors and furniture had a subtle oceanic scent, and both the shower water temperature and bedding comfort were perfect. The staff's service was truly top-notch, from their warm welcome upon arrival to actively recommending local specialties during meals, and even thoughtfully reminding us of the best time to catch the sunset. Every detail reflected their warmth. Whether it was a morning stroll on the boardwalk listening to the waves or relaxing on the terrace in the afternoon breeze, it allowed us to completely unwind. Half of the beautiful memories from this trip came from Semporna's sea, and the other half from this perfect water villa. We're already planning our next visit!

GGuest UserThe closest hotel to the pier, hands down. I don't know how the ratings are calculated... I'm not judging it by domestic standards; when in Rome, do as the Romans do. Local facilities just aren't that great. Based on what I saw online, I thought it would be terrible, but the room was surprisingly clean. Although there's nowhere to hang clothes to dry, I'd advise anyone who loves going out to sea and exploring the pier to stay close by. The front desk staff were also great; they have a WeChat for communication and translation. Don't bother looking at the negative reviews or the ratings. I stayed in town for 6 days, and the first place, which had the highest rating, was personally the worst.
