"On our last day, we chose this hotel and stayed in a cabin. The environment was decent, and the view of the sea was quite comfortable. The air conditioning was good, but the water pressure was a bit low. Overall, the service was good, but although life jackets were advertised as free, they still charged me to rent them. We snorkeled nearby, but the water wasn't very clear. It was okay for a light swim, but if you want to snorkel, avoid the shore. We then went island hopping."

"The experience at Semporna Sky Water Villas exceeded all expectations! My friend and I stayed in the Starlight Villa for two days, and it was truly beyond what we imagined. As soon as we arrived on the island, we were stunned by the scenery: the crystal-clear glass-like sea shimmered with various shades of blue and green under the sun. The wooden boardwalk, flanked by lush greenery, blended beautifully with the seascape – every photo we took looked like a postcard. The view from the Starlight Villa was simply incredible, with our balcony directly facing the ocean. In the evenings, we watched the orange and pink sunset paint the sea like a masterpiece, and at night, we could lie on the terrace and gaze at the Milky Way and countless stars. It was so romantic, we were speechless. The room facilities were clean and thoughtful; the wooden floors and furniture had a subtle oceanic scent, and both the shower water temperature and bedding comfort were perfect. The staff's service was truly top-notch, from their warm welcome upon arrival to actively recommending local specialties during meals, and even thoughtfully reminding us of the best time to catch the sunset. Every detail reflected their warmth. Whether it was a morning stroll on the boardwalk listening to the waves or relaxing on the terrace in the afternoon breeze, it allowed us to completely unwind. Half of the beautiful memories from this trip came from Semporna's sea, and the other half from this perfect water villa. We're already planning our next visit!"

"Staying at the Elf Riverfront Resort was a perfect experience! The free shuttle service to and from town and the pier saved us a lot of hassle, no need to rush around. The resort is within walking distance of the mangroves, so you can take an evening stroll to see proboscis monkeys and enjoy fireflies at night – truly a full experience of pristine natural beauty. The rooms are clean and quiet, and the staff are warm and attentive. This is definitely my top choice when visiting Semporna!"

"Three days, two nights, and every day brought a new kind of 'excitement.' Day one, the air conditioning didn't work, there were tons of mosquitoes, and the shower only had cold water. The only decent thing for dinner was the fried shrimp, which disappeared in seconds, and the few other dishes available were practically snatched away. It felt like a refugee experience. Day two, we got a different room. After swimming, I went back to shower, and there was no water, then cold water, then extremely hot water, constantly cycling. The water pressure was also incredibly low; I almost lost my mind trying to rinse the shampoo out of my hair. That night, it was very windy, and there was a lot of noise outside, as if something wasn't properly secured. On the third day, as we were checking out, our luggage was mistakenly taken by a staff member and given to other guests. It was only returned after the other guests realized the error. Our luggage was perfectly fine in the restaurant; how dare you just take it away? Do you have any basic management sense? Of course, the environment is nice, that's the only highlight. Given how expensive it was during Chinese New Year, you should provide a service level that matches the price. The buffet was cafeteria-standard, and we still had to fight for food. Are you not ashamed?"

"Semporna's hidden gem! Loved it from the moment I checked in 💙. The entire experience was perfect, felt so well looked after from arrival to departure. ✨ **Super Attentive Service** The owner was incredibly thoughtful and dedicated. The butler and all staff members were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. Communication in Chinese was seamless, making us feel like family. The resort also offers convenient island hopping services; just contact them for any travel needs – it's hassle-free and easy. ✨ **Environment & Rooms** The stand-alone wooden bungalows are wonderfully designed, clean, and tidy. The bedding is comfortable, and the soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a fantastic night's sleep. Surrounded by lush greenery, the air is fresh, and the views are absolutely stunning – every photo turns out amazing. ✨ **Fantastic Dining** Dining at the restaurant was a pure delight; the ambiance was lovely. "We stayed for 3 nights and had a great experience. We could pet cats and even saw monkeys 🐒, and my friend saw squirrels too! Breakfast was different every day and delicious. On the third day, we had to catch our flight at 6 am, and they still prepared breakfast for us. The service was excellent, and they offered free shuttle service to town, which was very convenient overall. There's also a swimming pool, and the island hopping tour in Semporna was beautiful. If I have the chance next time, I would definitely stay at Timba Garden again and visit Semporna's Jelly Beach again."

"I chose this resort for its vacation vibe, and the natural surroundings are truly beautiful, with palm trees casting shadows like a postcard. Getting to the pier or the town center takes about 15 minutes by car. The hotel offers a shuttle service at fixed times, but if you miss it, taxis are readily available and quite affordable, costing around 15 RMB. The hotel breakfast isn't particularly lavish, but it's enough to fill you up."

Guests tell us the location of this hotel is fantastic. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.
"This village is all about beachfront holidays, and its pros and cons revolve around that. **Pros:** The private, secluded cabins offer unbeatable ocean views. You can lie on the terrace lounge chair at night, accompanied by the sound of waves and sea breeze, under a sky full of stars. During the day, various fish and birds keep you company. It's a diving resort, with both scuba diving and snorkeling available. I heard the diving is good, but I didn't try scuba. The snorkeling right off the beach near the village entrance wasn't great. So, we hired a private boat to go snorkeling elsewhere, which was excellent; we saw multiple sea turtles. **Cons:** What made it great also made it less so. The cabin is drafty on all four sides, and the air conditioning is really weak and blows directly onto the bed, almost making me sick. However, it was still better than opening the windows. The ocean waves in the morning were definitely louder than a bus downstairs. The most bizarre thing was that only the terrace had curtains; the rest of the cabin didn't. So, the morning sun shone directly onto the head of the bed, which I guess is due to its orientation. These are points where opinions might differ. Most frustratingly, aside from scuba diving and snorkeling, there are no other entertainment options in the village. Under the tropical sun, everyone just retreats to their rooms. Plus, scuba and snorkeling are handled at separate locations. I have to complain about the somewhat old facilities. You can see sea fish through the gaps in the wooden floorboards. The bathroom had various issues: the toilet needed two flushes (and I, being an engineer, still can't figure out why), the overhead shower only produced about a third of its normal water flow, with the rest squirting out horizontally onto the partition. Luckily, there was a handheld shower that worked for one day. The next evening, the handle broke off when I tried to turn it on, and water started gushing out. So, two security guards came, both claiming they were just security. The last time, around 11 PM, I was already in bed when three people arrived, again stating they'd fix it tomorrow. The next day, both showers were repaired... The food was... edible, I guess. In short, this village is a matter of personal taste."
