Lovely hotel with lots of character and nice staff. We will return.

Beautifully renovated chais with a nice touch of modernity. Large rooms. Michelin-star restaurant is pretty delicious. Breakfast is more average, swimming pool is indoor (sun-beds outside possible). A bit of a surprise but No Cognac production there…

Fabulous location. Extremely comfortable bedroom. Staff are super friendly. Two small dogs with us enjoyed the fuss, too.

Bonjour, we took a week to reflect before writing this review, so it's not an immediate, potentially more aggressive, reaction. We booked through Trip.com, which offered the best deal at the time, before the hotel even opened. Two days before arrival, the hotel called to ask about our preferences and requests for amenities, which was a good start. On arrival, we were greeted in the car park by the reception staff, which was excellent. THE RECEPTION or concierges – four young men and women – were polite, kind, and welcoming, but clearly not quite up to speed with the IT system. After a good fifteen minutes, we were shown around the establishment and then escorted to our room by the always-friendly staff. There were issues with two lifts: one was shut down due to a grinding noise, and the lift serving the aquatic area was broken. Since I have reduced mobility (PMR), the staff offered an outdoor route, which was fine, I suppose. Anyway, let's stay positive for now; the friendliness and kindness of all the staff were top-notch. Food, breakfasts – all very good. However, the paint finishes suggest the final inspection wasn't up to luxury liner standards. THE CHERRY ON TOP was our departure on Saturday, June 20, 2026. There were still plenty of receptionists, but the kindness and politeness had been replaced by incompetence. Two people ahead of us were served by one employee for 30 minutes. Then, our 'golden key' tried to deduct €468.22 from our deposit for extras from a single night's stay? We were surprised when he attributed an early departure to a room that wasn't ours! And the bill for the two meals had been paid the day before at the restaurant! The problem was, he wouldn't budge and tried to make us pay the tourist tax, which was already included in our Trip.com payment. Unconvinced, my wife showed him the Trip.com reservation and invoice, and he was flabbergasted, exclaiming, 'What's this? Booking, yes, but Trip…whatsit?' We arrived to check out at 9:10 AM on Saturday and left the hotel at 9:40 AM. All this to say, in the end, it all went smoothly. Everything is sorted, thank you and safe travels. So, I'm nitpicking, but let's not forget where we are, given the media reports about this HIGH-END hotel opening two weeks late. The problem is feeling like you're in a hotel management training school, specifically the RECEPTION section, except the price you pay corresponds to a fully operational HIGH-END hotel. The 'we just opened, we're starting out' excuse doesn't fly at this level. Both my wife and I have worked in entertainment; you have a free dress rehearsal to get everything right, then the general rehearsal, and only after that, when customers are paying, do you perform, certainly not with this kind of amateurism. Nothing like the reception at LA GRANDE TERRASSE, which is top-tier.

Très bel hôtel, accueil professionnel, chambre confortable, superbe espace thalasso. Petit déjeuner complet et varié, c’est un réel plaisir de séjourner dans cet établissement.

Suitable for parent-child travel

Après 1 petit imbroglio au niveau de notre réservation (chambre qui n'était pas équipée d'un lit King size vs reservation) très vite résolu notre séjour s'est bien passé. Le seul bémol est la température dans l'espace marin (l'eau n'est pas très chaude...) et l'espace dispose d'une salle de relaxation petite (7 /8 places...). Sinon le personnel que ça soit à l'accueil au bar au restaurant ainsi que les femmes de chambre est très souriant et poli. La qualité du restaurant est top (ça rattrape l'espace marin) les plats sont bien cuisinés et tout est très bon vraiment s'est à souligner. Autour de l'hôtel en cette période (février) tout est globalement fermé c'est un peu dommage car ça manque d'animation.

A very warm place that I highly recommend ! The hosts make your stay not only cosy but also very relaxed. A family-like hostel as we wish we had more when we travel.

J’ai passé un court séjour au Domaine du Château Vacancéole. Le personnel est accueillant et sympathique, ce qui a rendu l’expérience agréable. Les installations sont simples mais efficaces pour un petit séjour, rien de superflu mais tout le nécessaire est là. Côté propreté, ce n’était pas parfait mais honnêtement je m’attendais à pire en lisant certains commentaires. Cela reste correct pour quelques jours. Petit bémol : la porte de ma chambre ne fermait pas correctement et il fallait absolument la verrouiller avec la clé. Dans l’ensemble, séjour convenable, avec un bon rapport qualité/prix pour une courte halte.
