"On January 22, Changsha snowed heavily and I chose to go north. I accidentally found this hotel on Ctrip and it had 0 negative reviews. Curiosity made me book this hotel to try. Before I arrived at the hotel, the front desk lady contacted me and added WeChat to a service group. The VIP feeling was instantly full. The hotel is located in a Chinese classical manor villa built by the lake in Dongting Lake Town. The design and layout are very reasonable. The front desk lady helped me upgrade to a parent-child room. The waiter helped me carry my luggage to the room and brought me a warm soup to taste. Coincidentally, I met the owner of the manor when I went to experience the tea ceremony. The owner was gentle and handsome. During the conversation, I learned that my daughter was unwell and immediately notified the front desk to help us upgrade to the best suite in the manor so that we could experience the quiet and comfortable manor VIP feeling. The hotel's catering is also top-notch. The environment, dishes and services are all of high standards, but the price is close to the people. It can be said that it is the king of cost-effectiveness. The owner is also a master of tea ceremony. I visited his tea ceremony hall, tasted his collection of raw Pu tea, listened to his discussion, and found that the owner is a cultured person, giving people a strong affinity. It is located in Nanhu Lake, with a quiet environment and is suitable for bringing children. This time, the feelings are as follows: 1. The garden view room we stayed in on the first night had a mixture of old smell and smoke in the room. I am very sensitive to smell now and feel bad. The most important thing is the bathroom. Although I know that this hotel has been renovated, there are no curtains in the bathroom. The key is that the door of the toilet cannot be closed, that is, the distance you have to close the door when you go to the toilet will hit your head. The bathroom occupies nearly half of the entire room, but the toilet is so small. This design is really not good. 2. The second night was a lake view room. The smoke was gone, and the bathroom design was normal. At least you couldn't see inside from the outside. It was just that the toilet was a bit difficult to flush. It was an old-style toilet. Repeated flushing would overflow. There was nothing an old-style hotel could do. Apart from the facilities, the hygiene was still good, and the hotel service was also good. When delivering water, they saw that we were with children, so they sent several boxes of milk. There was a robot that the baby liked. We had a bowl of noodles for breakfast. The buffet variety was average and acceptable. Overall, it's better to choose a lake view room."

We stayed in a double room on the balcony floor with a gorgeous overlook of the lake with access to the balcony from our room. The hotel staff were helpful and readily available to provide shuttle service to and from the entrance of the park. They even allowed us to use their laundry room and helped when we had trouble drying our clothes. I would recommend this hotel as a peaceful spot in Yueyang with a delicious restaurant a shuttle ride away."
