XXianxiansansuilawwWhat a wonderful trip! We took a car from Shangri-La to Deqin, and the driver dropped us off at the tunnel entrance. We couldn't find a taxi, so we called the front desk. The guy there immediately came to pick us up. Since it was off-season, they even upgraded our room when we arrived. In the afternoon, we went to 'One Tree' to take photos, and the staff member, worried about us experiencing altitude sickness while climbing uphill, came to pick us up and take us back to the hotel. I was so touched. The room was clean and tidy, with complimentary fruit and snacks. Enjoying afternoon tea on the rooftop while looking at the snowy mountains and chatting was incredibly relaxing. When we checked out, the lady at the front desk even gave us a souvenir, and the dried mushrooms were delicious. The hotel also has a very well-behaved golden retriever! It gives you its paw when asked and loves to be petted – so adorable!

HHittitesThe location is fantastic, with a perfect view directly facing Mount Meili. Kawa Garbo is to the right and front, and there are no obstructions from the third floor upwards. The view from the second floor is actually pretty good too, and even the White Pagoda has its own charm. The public areas also offer great views. Since there aren't many rooms, it never feels crowded. The service is excellent and very welcoming. Room amenities are thoughtfully provided, and the food service is also very good. The overall decor is stylish, and there's a butler service offering various activities. If only your cat employee were a bit more enthusiastic!

MM240122****I traveled thousands of miles to Deqin just to witness the majestic beauty of the snow-capped mountains 🏔.
I'm so glad I booked a room with a snow view at this hotel. It was a very cost-effective choice for a solo traveler. When it's time to enjoy life, you should go for it; you only live once. Let this brief freedom be a seasoning for an ordinary life, giving yourself the courage for a better one.
The hotel service was excellent; everyone was very attentive to me since I was traveling alone, and they even gave me a small ornament when I left. The room was spacious and elegant, very comfortable to stay in. The diffused oxygen supply also worked well, although I tend to get nervous easily and still went to the hospital to breathe some oxygen for a while. Actually, there's no need to be too afraid of altitude sickness; most symptoms can be relieved at the hospital. Most importantly, the hotel's 5th-floor observation deck is fantastic. You don't need to crowd with people at the Wunongding viewpoint. I left my camera at the hotel to shoot a time-lapse and went to take some portraits. Plus, watching the starry sky and waiting for the sunrise with friends from all corners of the world at the hotel was truly a romantic experience.
Finally, regarding the mountain views, this was a completely successful trip. From sunset to high noon, I was honored to witness the diverse charm of Meili Snow Mountain. On the first evening, as the vehicle drove out of National Highway 214, I caught sight of the thirteen peaks of Meili. Clouds drifted slowly, and the sun gradually set. Soon after, the Milky Way hung low above Mt. Miancimu, and Comet Lemmon descended towards Mt. Bawu Bameng, creating a starry night. Under the stars, the Winter Triangle appeared even more captivating, adorned with the Taurus meteor shower, making the night sky seem like a dream. As night deepened and the moon rose, the crescent moon stubbornly illuminated the snow-capped mountains, casting a faint pearly white glow. Until dawn, the sky transformed from blue to pink, heralding the arrival of a new day. At daybreak, the first ray of sunlight illuminated the peak of Kawagarbo, and the legendary 'Sunlight on Golden Mountain' passionately displayed Meili's grandeur. Once the golden light covered all thirteen peaks, the contours of the snow mountain were clearly outlined, and the most beautiful snow mountain finally revealed its perfect form. The mountain doesn't speak, but people have wishes; Meili just stands quietly, inspiring endless imagination. After the crowds receded, the snow mountain returned to its pristine white, and strolling through Wunongding, watching the mountains, listening to the wind, and playing with cats, offered another kind of pleasure.
People say that seeing the 'Sunlight on Golden Mountain' brings good luck for the whole year. A year is too long; I only know that at this moment, I have captured the happiness of life.

GGuest UserThe hotel's interior design and room amenities were top-notch, and there were plenty of activities. The ******* traditional clothing offered was beautiful, the best I'd seen in any hotel so far (though you could only take photos in the hotel). The service was excellent; they even gave us a small gift when we left and were very attentive to our emotional well-being.
The underfloor heating in our room wasn't working. Initially, a staff member brought us a portable heater, which I accepted but was still a bit unhappy about. Later, around 11 PM, what I assume was a supervisor proactively contacted us, asking if they could take another look, and managed to get the heating working again. This proactive problem-solving attitude left a great impression.
Regarding the hotel's location, I have to say, Lost & Found has it a bit rough. The issue with the neighboring hotel isn't just the construction noise that others have mentioned (we didn't experience any noise during Chinese New Year). The view of Kawagarbo from Lost & Found is already a bit angled, and the way the neighboring hotel's corner juts out is quite inconsiderate. It obstructs the view from both the rooms and the 4th-floor cafe. My advice is to go downstairs and outside for a more unobstructed view.

I'd heard for a while that Meili Podu was the 'must-visit' hotel pinnacle. I'd stayed at Tengchong Podu before and found it rather ordinary, but this time I finally decided to go for the Meili route. The 4-hour drive from Shangri-La wasn't short, but the moment we arrived in Wunongding – it was totally worth it! 🤍
🌄 Environment
We stayed in the White Pagoda Room. Although it didn't face directly onto the main peak of Kawagebo, the window view was still tranquil and therapeutic. Wunongding is quiet with few people. In the morning, drinking hot tea on the balcony and watching the clouds drift among the mountains brought such peace to my mind.
🍰 Snow Mountain View Afternoon Tea for Two
I never expected to find such photo-worthy and delicious afternoon tea at such a high altitude! The pastries were exquisite, and the coffee was surprisingly good. Just staring at the snow-capped mountains, taking photos, and sipping tea – it was the ideal vacation scene! 📸
🛌 Room Experience
The complimentary snacks and drinks in the minibar were plentiful. They even thoughtfully provided a large cloth bag, fearing we couldn't carry everything. The room was warm and clean, and bathing while enjoying the mountain view was absolutely divine. In the evening, we immersed ourselves in making ******* incense and painting Thangkas, truly experiencing ******* culture. Time here became soft and precious.
💁 Service with Full Attention to Detail
Upon entering, we were presented with a Hada (ceremonial scarf) and welcome tea. The service throughout was warm yet restrained. When we checked out, the front desk gave us a prayer wheel and handmade soap. Leaving with such blessings, it felt less like staying at a hotel and more like being a guest at a friend's home for two days.

This place truly feels like a 'temple dedicated to the snow-capped mountains.'
Located at Wunongding, 3600 meters above sea level, it offers direct views of Kawagarbo Peak. You can tell the designer's thoughtfulness in every detail: stone floors, a real bonfire, a panoramic glass wall in the observation deck, and smoke marks on the walls. The architecture, interplay of light and shadow, and a sense of reverence redefine a pilgrimage journey here.
The rooftop bar is incredibly cozy. The staff member there is knowledgeable about constellations and great at photography. Capturing the moments of a brilliant starry sky, a pink and purple dawn, and golden snow-capped peaks—even just doing nothing and letting time pass here is absolutely wonderful.

Opening the window revealed a stunning view of snow-capped mountains and a sea of clouds – the romantic snowy scenery was just breathtaking. The room was cozy and clean, with plenty of oxygen, so I didn't have to worry about altitude sickness at all. Just sitting on the balcony quietly watching the snow was so therapeutic and lovely. The service was incredibly attentive, and even though it's located at high altitude, the stay was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend it!

You can see the golden mountain in the sun from the room, especially the terrace on the third floor which is particularly photogenic against the backdrop of the Meili Snow Mountain. The hotel service is also in place and is worth recommending.

Hua Zong specially arranged a special car to welcome us to the store, and carefully prepared breakfast, road meals and dinner, which were convenient and delicious. He also prepared hiking poles, crampons, etc., which came in handy when hiking on the ice lake line👍👍

GGuest UserGreat spot! Located just on the side of Yubeng that's on the way to the glacier lake trail. Views from rooms were amazing. There's also multiple laundry machines for people traveling with limited amounts of hiking clothes. There were always several staff members onsite to assist with whatever you may need. Food from the hotel's restaurant was diverse, affordable and tasty.
