"A very nice ******* homestay, overall quite good, easy to find the location. It snowed on the second day of my stay. The floor heating in the room was very warm, and there was an electric blanket on the bed. It was not cold at all in the snow. I stayed there for 3 consecutive days. The weather was bad, and I kept waiting to see the sunrise on the Golden Mountain. Parking was also very convenient, the small courtyard was very beautiful, the bathroom was also wide, and the water pressure was also very strong. Living halfway up the mountain, it was very quiet, and the scenery was particularly beautiful when walking up. It was also quite close to the scenic spot, supermarket, and market, less than 10 minutes by car. It is worth mentioning that the ******* boss was very enthusiastic. I called him late at night or early in the morning to ask about something, and he answered very enthusiastically. I will stay here again next time."
"Room has everthing you need (heating blanket, AC - altough not powerful enough for heating the room, waterboiler, cups) and a decent view over Deqin. However the house is quite old and even the non-smoking room smelled of cigarettes lit in past days.
The owner was very helpful and, even tough we had our language barriers, tried to answer our questions."
"On the morning of October 24th, the butler thoughtfully asked if I wanted to change my plans because it was raining. My resolve remained, and the butler even sent blessings 🙏. In the afternoon, we set off for Wunongding, passing by Baima Snow Mountain where light snow began to fall. I was still a bit anxious when we arrived in the evening, as the clouds were thick. I heard it had rained lightly that morning and nothing was visible 👀. On October 25th, we successfully witnessed the 'Golden Mountain Bathed in Sunlight' (Rizhao Jinshan)! Tashi Delek [Thanks] The room was spacious, warm, and very clean, and the viewing platform was absolutely superb!"
"This guesthouse in Meili Snow Mountain is run by a couple. We arrived at Feilai Temple at 9:30 PM, and the owner drove to pick us up. The lobby is a large, beautiful conservatory. We were amazed when we entered our room; I've truly never stayed in such a spacious room before. It had natural wood-toned floors, a smart toilet, and an oxygen concentrator – this was the first hotel with an oxygen concentrator I've stayed in during my week in Yunnan! The curtains were fully automatic, and there was a huge floor-to-ceiling window. On the 27th, we went to the Feilai Temple observation deck at 6 AM, and the proprietress was already waiting at the door to drive us. Unfortunately, it was cloudy today, so we didn't see it. When we got back to the guesthouse, the proprietress had already prepared breakfast: rice noodles, potatoes, eggs, pancakes, and butter tea. We could ask for more if we needed it. She also chatted with us a lot, telling us local stories and customs, and advising us on the best time to visit for better views. This Shangri-La trip was truly fantastic! The locals are incredibly warm and welcoming. Even though we didn't see the snow-capped mountains, you can't be lucky all the time. We'll definitely come back next time and stay at this guesthouse again."
"We traveled from Shangri-La Green Valley, Linka, Benzilan to the most anticipated Meili Songtsan. Let me start with the environment. The view of Meili Snow Mountain was very nice. We saw the golden mountain in the sun. The service of Songtsan was also online. However, the food in Meili was really bad. The restaurant management was very good. They kept changing the dishes and waived the meal fee in the end. However, as a hotel at this price, it should be improved. There were also bugs in the food. When we checked out in the morning, the front desk service was always on the phone. We waited for 10 minutes at the door with two luggages. It was hard to describe."
"The comfort level is comparable to Hanting's, and the view is similar to the rooms at Huangshan's Guangmingding Peak. You can just lie back and enjoy the view. Breakfast is just rice noodles, but the traditional rice noodles are comparable to the ”An Ran Xiao Hun” rice. I wanted to stay the next day, but unfortunately, they were sold out."
"The public area's direct view of the snow-capped mountains is already unparalleled. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the staff's service is incredibly thoughtful. On the first day, because we took the Ice Lake route and arrived quite late, they even messaged and called us, concerned about potential dangers on the night road and asking if we needed help. Every day before we left, they would ask about our route and prepare necessary supplies (e.g., Pocari Sweat/Snickers/nuts for squirrels), as well as medicine, masks, dental floss, and so on. Because we had to leave the village early in the morning, they even helped us with urgent laundry and prepared breakfast. All the amenities are reusable, and the owner must be an experienced outdoor enthusiast, truly practicing environmental protection. This is exactly the kind of place hikers like us should stay. We are so lucky to have met Yu Shan in Yubeng."
"This hotel, despite being a bit pricey, offers incredible value for money, especially with its beautiful interior. The service is exceptionally thoughtful and attentive; they even have a butler group chat. When we arrived late, almost 10 PM, a kind staff member was still waiting for us to check in. I handed over some clothes for washing and drying that night, and they were returned the next morning, just in time for us to wear them to see the sunrise on Mount Everest (Rizhao Jinshan).
One thing I really appreciated was that breakfast was served until noon, which was a huge plus. The oxygen supply in the hotel was also excellent. My friend was suffering badly from altitude sickness, but after receiving some desserts in the evening (perhaps containing glucose?), she felt much better.
The next day, we managed to capture stunning photos of the sunrise over the mountains from the hotel. The viewing platform is absolutely gorgeous and made the experience truly worthwhile. My friends and I thought it would be even better if the 4th-floor glass observation area had a slightly angled, floor-to-ceiling mirror. That way, we could take selfies with the 'Goddess Peak' (Shennüfeng) reflected in it!"
"At first, I compared many places online, and finally I saw a B&B that allowed cooking and had a fireplace. After the phone consultation, the reservation was made.
The real thing is more beautiful than the photo. The room is very high-end and it is very comfortable to lie in. The price is quite affordable, it is really a very cost-effective homestay. The store manager is very nice and provides fruits, snacks and beer. We bought groceries, cooked, and then ate, drank, sang, and chatted together. The fireplace especially created a lot of atmosphere and was perfect for taking photos.
What’s even more interesting is that the password box was broken, and we finally found the store manager who patiently found the tools to help us open it.
The whole stay process was particularly pleasant and reassuring. The layout of the room is also a style I like very much. It is very simple and fresh. All kinds of facilities are available, and the hygiene is even more meticulous. It is a very satisfactory stay experience. Recommended! ! ! !
If you have friends coming to play, feel free to come! ! ! !"
"After a long search, we finally settled on Guanyun Banshan! At first, I was worried about not seeing the 'golden mountain' sunrise (and indeed we didn't 😭), so I booked a non-view room. But when we arrived, I asked the front desk if there were any view rooms left, and luckily there was one. We took a look at it and booked it immediately, because the moment you open the door and see the snow-capped mountains, it's all worth it! The hotel also provided complimentary welcome fruit, afternoon tea, and a delicious goodnight sweet soup! The staff were all very nice and enthusiastic. In the evening, when we went to the viewing platform to see the Milky Way, one of the staff members even guided us on how to take photos and helped us adjust the angles. In the morning, they prepared ginger tea for us, and it was a pleasure chatting with her (P.S. Owner, give this lady a raise!). When we left, they even drove us to the bus stop and gave us a souvenir. It was an incredibly happy stay!"
This hotel is both comfortable and surprising for this trip to Shangri-La.
1. All the hotel staff are very meticulous and enthusiastic. Not only did they upgrade the room for free, but when there were guests checking in at 1:30 a.m. and it was noisy, the staff gave a perfect solution the next day.
2. The price of the hotel is proportional to the scenery. If the budget is sufficient, I personally think it is a very good choice for the Wunongding Scenic Area.
3. The breakfast and dinner of the hotel are very good, which is a bit unexpected. In this area, I personally think the price is also reasonable.
4. Most importantly, the room is clean and comfortable, and the supporting soft and hard facilities are very sufficient. The hotel will provide the daily necessities needed, including oxygen and humidifiers.
Finally, thank the staff of Jianglu for providing us with a great trip to Meili Snow Mountain. Although we did not see the perfect Rizhao Jinshan, we will choose Jianglu next time.

Very satisfied stay. I wanted to go to Niding on foot and found this newly opened hotel. The surrounding area was quiet and the stream was very tasteful and clean. I went to the nearby village to eat at night. I was afraid that the hotel was not good. The result was completely worried! I ordered the stew chicken, which is called a full of ingredients. Although the stew is a lot of oil, it is not greasy at all. The manager taught me to sprinkle the stew on the rice and sprinkle some salt to eat, don't mention the fragrance! The rice noodles for breakfast were so delicious. I ate two mornings and had good night milk delivered to the room in the evening. The experience was full. In the morning, there was a villager's vicissitudes praying ceremony nearby, and I was fortunate to participate together. In short, a very recommended one!

LLiangjiangyichengBenzilan, a traditional transit and supply point in Meili Snow Mountain, boasts numerous hotels, guesthouses, and delicious restaurants. This particular establishment was our choice after careful comparison. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was plentiful, and the owner was warm and welcoming. There was also a huge laundry and drying platform (see picture four), making it a great place to rest and relax during your trip. Highly recommended!
GGuest UserThe room is spacious and comfortable, with an excellent location, facing the snow-capped mountains. The next morning, the sun shone on the golden mountain, bringing a huge visual shock
Hua Zong specially arranged a special car to welcome us to the store, and carefully prepared breakfast, road meals and dinner, which were convenient and delicious. He also prepared hiking poles, crampons, etc., which came in handy when hiking on the ice lake line👍👍
May your home in the distance prosper and have a bright future🎉🎉
May Hua Zong weigh everything he gets, and weigh more than sugarcane💪💪
__WeChat33506****Before check-in, the customer service proactively reached out with helpful information and warm tips. The welcome pack upon arrival was also a super thoughtful touch, and the little medal added a nice ceremonial feel!
Dinner was delicious; the chef's skills were impressive, and the rice was much better than at other places! You absolutely have to try it!
The room window directly faces Shennv Peak and Wuguan Peak, and you can even see Ba-Wu-Ba-Mong (not sure if that's the correct name for the snow-capped mountain). If you spot the 'Golden Mountain at Sunrise' or stars, be sure to head to the outdoor area of the cafe on the rooftop for photos. The weather in high-altitude areas is unpredictable, so seize the moment!
And then there are the guesthouse's cats – so many of them, and all incredibly cute! They're friendly and love to cuddle!
The location of Cat's Gaze in Yubeng is destined to be special. It's a bit further from the center of Upper Yubeng, but that also means it's relatively quieter. Anyway, you come here to walk around, so a little distance is no big deal.
Overall, I personally absolutely loved it!!!!
MM804909****The hotel offers a convenient shuttle service. The picture was taken from the 4th-floor viewing deck. The hotel's underfloor heating was very warm, and the room was quite spacious. The humidifier wasn't powerful enough, so it got a bit dry. I didn't notice the oxygen machine was malfunctioning until I started feeling unwell. The hotel had to replace it several times to get it working properly. The dining and location at the hotel were better than expected. However, I booked a room on the 2nd floor, which offers a less impressive view compared to the public viewing deck on the 4th floor. I'd recommend booking either a 3rd-floor room or just the cheapest option and enjoying the views outside. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money.
RRosa09As one of the rare solo travelers to Meilin, our check-in process took a little longer than usual since the staff wasn’t entirely familiar with handling overseas guests (They probably wasn't used to seeing non-locals HAHA). That said, they were extremely accommodating—they kindly invited us to rest in our room first and even enthusiastically helped carry our (very heavy) luggage upstairs. Despite our late arrival around 10 PM, the staff patiently waited for us and assisted in unloading our bags from the car, which we greatly appreciated.
The hotel itself was clean and cozy. Our room was spacious and well-heated, including a warm bathroom that was a real comfort in the chilly weather. Water pressure and hot water was good. While our booking was for three people, the room was initially stocked with toiletries for two—but this was quickly resolved with a simple call to the front desk.
A standout feature was the smart AI assistant (Xiao Du) in the room, which was perfect for those who enjoy convenience—controlling lights and music hands-free was a nice touch. Location-wise, the hotel is well-situated, just a short 15-minute walk to Feilai Temple. The photos on Trip were accurate, and while there wasn't a strong mountain view from our room, it didn’t detract from the overall pleasant experience.
Overall, the hotel offered great service, comfort, and convenience, making it a solid choice for anyone visiting the area.
SS.LinaThis independent log cabin has a great atmosphere and is only about a ten-minute walk from the Feilai Temple viewing point. Although the weather wasn't ideal and I couldn't see the sunrise over the snow-capped mountains, it was still a worthwhile stay for the night! Due to the environment, there were a few bugs in the room. I brought my own insecticide, but the owner could consider providing a mild insect repellent in the rooms for future guests. Also, I didn't plan on using the humidifier, but out of curiosity, I opened it and saw it was full of limescale. If you're going to provide amenities like that, it's important to pay attention to hygiene and clean them regularly.
MM440391****The room is big, everything is complete, the food is good, and you can ride a bike🥰. The most important thing is that you can see the Meili Snow Mountain when you get up. It is also close to Yubeng Village and you can hike🥰. The manager sister is super nice and amiable. , approachable😘, really a good choice
QqnrichUpon arrival, a friendly staff member immediately helped us with our luggage. She was incredibly helpful, answering all our questions, and personally showed us to our room. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. She also took the time to thoroughly explain how to use the in-room oxygen system. We had a really great experience. While breakfast was a set meal, it was simple yet nutritious. The hotel is also conveniently located quite close to the viewing platform.
GGuest UserMy room was as described. Functional and nice and warm (with heating on) with an excellent hot shower and nice wooden wall beams.
The people who run the place are lovely and also offer nice breakfast options in the morning.
The only small note I have is that (despite best efforts and a very modern ventilation system in the bathroom) the bathroom is already moldy. I understand that it's a challenge to get under control given the climate.
I would stay again next time, and actually spend more than just one night here. There is so much you can explore here!
GGuest UserPros:
One of the most stunning views from a hotel ever.
Doodoo the dog is the sweetest and felt like a home stay, super quiet and calm! Comfy beds with electric blanket and clean room.
Cons:
The shared toilets, sink shower are outside, which is not ideal in cold November.
First day the woman working was so helpful and accommodating, helped me wash clothes, made food and answered questions. The second day was a different woman, who would not use a translation app to answer questions which made things difficult. Would not make a hot drink in the cafe for me and wouldn’t explain why and wasn’t much help on transport questions because she wouldn’t translate her answers. Unfortunately it stands out because 99% of people in china help you! I went to a different cafe down the road where people were immediately so helpful.
