"Staying one night at Feilai Temple, choosing Meili Wangshi was absolutely the right decision. Upon arrival, the front desk lady warmly helped us with our luggage and gave us an A4 printout of the parking lot location. She also enthusiastically recommended bookstores and viewing spots we wanted to visit! Photo 1 shows the snacks and mineral water available for guests on the third-floor public area, feel free to take what you need (bottled water is already provided in the room, of course). Photo 2 is a picture of the room taken from the doorway, where you can see the snow-capped mountains through the window. Photo 5 is the telescope, a great tool for viewing the snow mountains. Photo 6 is the Feilai Temple viewing platform, taken from the balcony – essentially, staying at Meili Wangshi is like staying right on the viewing platform. Photo 9 shows the AED outside the hotel, which is one of the few AEDs available in public areas of Diqing Prefecture. Photo 10 shows the breakfast; you can always ask for more if needed, but we found the portion size to be just right! Watching the sunrise over Meili Snow Mountain from your room's balcony or the rooftop terrace offers excellent views!"

"Amenities: They provide heated blankets and a graphene heater, which was a lifesaver since it was snowing the day I visited. Without them, I probably wouldn't have been able to sleep. If it's going to be really cold, I'd suggest booking a place with floor heating, as this one doesn't have it.
Location: It's not too far from the viewpoint, but there's a building under construction diagonally across the street, which slightly impacts the view. The rooftop has its own viewpoint with several tripods available for use.
Service: There's no elevator, and even though we had luggage, no one offered to help us carry it up."

staff were welcoming - provided us tea upon arrival, brought us to our room and allowed us to choose between 2 views since there was space! they also helped us navigate the room, how to use the various amenities like the humidifier and oxygen machine. toiletries were fully provided for! the night time sweet soup was also soothing to have.
these rooms I believe have no air con but it worked for us as the weather was very cool. the option for a heater was there.
breakfast had a choice of 2 types of noodles, and a little buffet bar, with a great view too!
overall recommend this space for a stay!"

"We were incredibly lucky to witness the 'Rizhao Jinshan' phenomenon (golden mountain bathed in sunlight)! The hotel's views are absolutely stunning (just ignore that big crane, haha). You get an unobstructed panorama of all thirteen Meili Snow Mountains. The owner was super enthusiastic; as soon as we arrived, he warmly explained the best ways to view the mountains. After showing us to our room, he even turned on the humidifier, oxygen machine, and floor heating for us. The hotel is very clean, and in the morning, you don't even need to go down to the observation deck; you can simply watch the snow-capped peaks from your balcony. The hotel thoughtfully provided large, thick blankets, which was a very nice touch."

We got incredibly lucky and woke up to the most stunning 'Golden Mountain in the Sunlight' view the next morning. Watching the sun slowly illuminate the Meili Snow Mountain was a truly breathtaking experience that you have to see to believe. In that moment, all the travel fatigue just melted away, making the journey completely worthwhile!
The hotel's location is fantastic; you can see the snow-capped mountains right from your window, no need to fight for a spot with crowds. The room was clean and comfortable, and it was very quiet at night. In the morning, you can even catch the sunrise right near the hotel. The owner and staff were exceptionally warm and helpful, advising us on the best viewing times and even arranging thoughtful little details. It was a perfect experience.
Witnessing the full 'Golden Mountain in the Sunlight' in Wunongding is truly the most unforgettable memory of our Yunnan trip. Five stars, highly recommended!"

You can park right outside the entrance, and the rooms offer direct views of Meili Snow Mountain – you can even see it from bed, which is fantastic. "I hesitated for a long time before I went to Feilai Temple. I didn't know if I should live in the foggy top or Feilai Temple. I finally considered that there may be fog in the rainy season in Yunnan. I chose this Feilai Temple hotel and looked forward to seeing part of the snowy mountains. In addition, there is also a factor to choose here. I want to avoid a problem in many hotels in Feilai Temple. It is a bit of an eye-catching crane in the scenery. Living here far exceeds expectations. First of all, there will be a thoughtful and intimate service. There will be a housekeeper who will pick us up. Sister, help us with our luggage, I drove the car from the station to the hotel quickly. The fruit plate was very fresh and the raisins were delicious! In the afternoon, I went to the hotel to eat afternoon tea and watch the scenery. As the clouds flow, I really saw the snow-capped mountains. I was so lucky! The hotel also has a complimentary photo service, three photos per room, and you can take pictures after choosing Tibetan clothes. It is very popular. The room is fully equipped, floor heating + diffuse oxygen supply + humidifier, and spare nasal straws. We lived in the ancient city of Dukezong the day before and it was a little high. We didn’t sleep well at night. It felt very good when we arrived here. If the physique is very sensitive, I feel a little stuffy. You can open a little window a little bit, it will not be cold. 😍 If the next itinerary has not been set, the parents of the same group said that they still want to stay for a day or two 🌹"

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome stay experience! The room is heated enough, not cold at all, equipped with an oxygen generator, and it is not afraid of high reaction. The projection quality is clear and it is too cool to lie down and watch a movie at night. You can watch Rizhao Jinshan 🤩🤩 on the roof. The clean bedding is comfortable and the boss is also enthusiastic. It is highly recommended!"

"Cozy place with a warm hospitality. Sharing this for the benefit for other guests; However, do note that currently, the road up to yubeng village is undergoing maintenance hence we'd need to hike a brutal 16km up from ninong carpark. The distance from lower yubeng to upper yubeng is another 2.3km uphill. Fortunately, there are pick up cars which can pick you up from rest stop 2 to upper yubeng (which i've only found out from one of the kind staff when i arrived), which means you can take a pick up truck down to rest stop 2 if you would like to conserve energy for other hikes at the yubeng village. Please feel free to enquire with the friendly staff!
Breakfast variety could also be improved instead of only 米线... Would be good if coffee could be served for breakfast too..."

"This trip to Feilai Temple was truly a hidden gem! Before, I'd freeze on observation decks just to catch a glimpse of the snowy mountains, but here, I can see them right from the 5th-floor rooftop.
What really impressed me was the underfloor heating throughout the entire property, plus the oxygen supply. I slept so soundly without feeling stuffy, and woke up in the morning without any headache.
The owner was incredibly thoughtful too. Seeing us arrive with lots of luggage, he actually ran over from a distance to help us carry it. Knowing we had an early start for the sunrise, he even reminded us to get some rest. Watching the 'sun-kissed golden mountains' slowly light up, I felt like all the year's fatigue just melted away."
