Guest UserWhat can I say, Yeyu has simply got to be hands down, the best place that I have stayed in during my entire Yunnan trip. I am amazed and wasn't expecting it to be this great. I know the idea of staying in a luxury hotel doesn't seem to be something that goes hand in hand with hiking (I say this from my experience of having hiked in several other places before where the key highlight is the natural setting itself), but I have to say that it was really soothing for the soul. My girlfriend and I loved this place! The hotel is tastefully designed at every corner and angle and we can appreciate that a lot of creativity and thought was put into designing this place. The aesthetics is very pleasing to the eye and embraces the natural scenery really well. We also loved the homage it pays to the area's ******* roots such as the photographs displayed in the room (young ******* monks playing and the ******* gazelles in the bathroom) and also all the books about Tibet, Yunnan province that is in the library and living room space. The service provided by the staff was top notch, very attentive and caring. We were always asked if there's anything that the staff can do for us be it preparing a plate of fresh fruits, preparing some drinks for us when we were lounging at the living area and another completely unexpected one was when we returned from the Sacred Waterfall hike with our shoes filled with mud, the hotel staff kindly asked us to leave our shoes with him and it came back the next day fully cleaned, placed in front of our rooms. The lovely service provided was just simply amazing and for this, I would like to offer my sincere thanks and gratitude to all of the lovely staff at Yeyu who provided us with such a beautiful memory of our too brief stay here and thank you so much for the room upgrade. If I could organise this trip again, I would have liked to stay here much longer to be able to relax and enjoy the beauty of this place. Please believe me when I say that it is completely worth every yuan.
PS: Please note that there are two Yeyu Hotels in Yubeng, one near the pond and the other near the temple. We stayed at the one near the temple. Both of them are beautiful in their distinctive ways.

Guest UserSince we came from Yubeng Village and didn't rent a car, the hotel's location was indeed much more suitable for self-driving. Fortunately, the hotel accommodated these inconveniences.
The hotel was renovated from an abandoned elementary school, but the overall feel is like a designer's new creation. The amenities were excellent. In addition to the essentials, there was a tea table by the large window facing the mountains. The bed was large, and our room wasn't arranged side by side, but rather one side by one, which was quite unique and even involved a fight over it.
The laundry service was thoughtful, and they even delivered goodnight milk in the evening. I also commend the breakfast, which offered both Chinese and Western options. It was one of the most comfortable and freshest breakfasts I've had in Yunnan these past few days, and the Western dishes were very satisfying.
The hotel is located in a village group of only eight households, a quiet place with both activity and tranquility. The villagers are simple and shy, and after a walk, I joined them in circumambulating the Buddhist scriptures. Nearby are the Baima Snow Mountain, perfect for hiking, the Niding Line, perfect for children, and numerous wineries. The town itself is famous for the story of a French grandmother. Driving on your own is definitely more enjoyable, but mountain roads require some driving skills.
Time is limited, so I'll definitely make up for this regret next time I drive on my own.

Fantastic, fabulous, and fascinating! This homestay in Benzilan is pure magic!
The location is serene, the accommodation spotless, and the peopleâsimply outstanding. The hosts treat you like family, always smiling and going the extra mile to make your stay unforgettable. Honestly, leaving this place is the hardest part! Itâs hands down my best stay in Yunnan.
If youâre heading to Deqin for Meili Snow Mountain, this is a must-stay. Highly recommended!

Guest UserThe hotel service was excellent. As soon as we arrived, staff helped us with our luggage, directed us to parking, and even provided welcome fruit. Every afternoon, we received a lovely afternoon tea delivered to our room, and in the evenings, there was a sweet nightcap and a fireworks show. We could hand over our clothes for washing and drying, and they'd be returned to our room. The breakfast, however, was quite ordinary with no real surprises. The room view was unbeatable; we stayed in the Mianxue Family Room, which directly faced the main peak of Kawagebo, truly stunning and beautiful. I also have to mention the hotel's special 'service staff': Potato, King Kong, and Niuniu. They offer immense emotional value and are incredibly therapeutic. I personally loved King Kong and Potato; they were so cute!

YummmmI stayed in a basic room, and the package was a great value. The public areas offer even better spots for taking photos with the snowy mountains in the background! The sixth floor has the best views, while the third floor is perfect for reflection shots. The ground floor is also nice, but it would be even better if the hotel could manage the large glass windows on the first floor during sunrise â otherwise, you'll get a lot of cars in your photos.
In the evening, the fifth floor is a great spot, and the bartender there is super friendly!
The food was filling, and breakfast was decent with some local specialty side dishes.
Most importantly, I got to see the 'golden mountain under the morning sun,' so overall I'm very satisfied. The Puerh tea at the front desk was also delicious.
They have sachet-making activities at 9 AM and 9 PM daily! A sachet costs 58 RMB in Dukezong Ancient City.
The travel photography service is also pretty good, as the hotel has many photogenic spots. I did my own makeup, then changed into the hotel's clothes. The lighting is excellent around 9 AM and 6 PM. I ended up choosing a dozen photos for 1088 RMB, which was a bit pricey.
One minor drawback: oxygen supply isn't available during the day, and even when it is, the intensity feels a bit weak. I had some trouble sleeping the first night. It only got better after I propped up my upper body and opened the window a bit. Also, without the underfloor heating on, it was still a bit warm.

LeejoxThis hotel is a must-stay if you're visiting Meili Snow Mountain. The terrace offers stunning views, and we were incredibly lucky to witness the 'Thirteen Peaks bathed in Sunlight' at the very end of the rainy season. The breakfast, personally prepared by the owner, was exquisite and filling, served individually to each guest with the finesse of a French meal. Each room also came with binoculars, allowing us to see the intricate details of the glacier. The only minor downsides were the occasional loud passing trucks on the street, though it quieted down significantly at night, and the water heater which sometimes got excessively hot.

Zhixiao-
The room was fantastic, with a balcony directly overlooking the snow-capped mountains. They thoughtfully provided two foot bath tubs. We were quite tired upon arrival at the village, and soaking our feet completely refreshed us, making us ready to head straight to the glacial lake the very next day â what a thoughtful touch! The chicken soup noodles were delicious, and the packed lunch they provided for our journey was great too. The resident cat was adorable!

We stayed in Yubeng during a week when access to the village was closed, and we were the only guests at the hotel. Itâs located near the trailhead to Ice Lake and not too far from Lower Yubeng and the Sacred Waterfall (the return hike is steep, but anyone coming to this place should be prepared for long and demanding walks!). There was no room service during our stay (like trash collection), but the hosts were friendly, and the food at the restaurant was very tasty and fairly priced â especially considering the logistical challenges of stocking the kitchen. The room is simple but comfortable. The towels are disposable, which is a bit strange at first, but you get used to it (they actually dry you well). The view from the hotel balcony is unbelievable â definitely worth paying extra for a room with a view. We would happily stay there again.

Kathkath123Iâm sharing my honest feedback in the hope the owners find this useful and can use this to improve. I am coming with good intentions and wish the owners the best!
If you are just looking for somewhere to lay your head after a long day of hiking and are a good sleeper, this place will suit you fine.
The beds are large and comfortable. The bed heater comes in very handy and the showers are hot. The wifi signal is good. The dogs and cats are cute.
With regards to where to improve, my suggestions below:
1. It is quite hard to find the place - the name is slightly different on Amap compared to Trip.com and as itâs a small village the roads donât exactly match up with the map. Some signage would really help as other hotels have done. When youâve been hiking for 5 hours and are tired you need some clear direction!
2. The owners have quite a relaxed and casual attitude to hospitality and I think they could do more to make you feel welcome. It is more of a homestay than a hotel - the common area doubles as the owners living space, and while the owners go about their day (eating, playing on phone, de-fleaing their cats) it can on occasion feel like you are intruding upon their space. A little hospitality would go a long way - a smile or acknowledgment when you enter the room, the offer of a hot drink on arrival or a warm welcome after your long hike to the village for example.
3. I think the above is especially true for foreign guests- I can speak and read some Mandarin so was able to get by, but it would be difficult if you had no understanding of the language and the hosts are not particularly forthcoming with help or information. This stands out as everywhere else we have been in China hosts have been so hospitable and willing to help - translation apps are so useful here. Just a simple one pager of what you offer, the menu, kitchen hours etc translated into English is my suggestion!
4. There is absolutely no soundproofing in the room. You can hear every footstep, whisper and noise from the adjoining rooms - if you are a light sleeper you will wake up. I would really recommend that this is addressed for guestsâ peace!
5. Install one non-squat toilet in the shared bathroom area, so guests who arenât used to these can use another type of toilet!
Unfortunately, there is still quite a bit of construction going on around but thereâs nothing that the hosts can do about that - it is everywhere in the village.
We werenât lucky enough to experience good weather while we were there but I have no doubt the views would have been incredible!

Guest UserI stayed here for 2 nights and had an amazing experience. The room provides a great view of the mountains with floor to ceiling windows and everything in the room, including the bed, chairs, clothes rack and bathroom, are well-maintained and clean. The room provides a sense of luxury and cleanliness during your getaway to this village. The location is excellent, as you are one of the first, if not the first accommodation facing the mountains, so the view is excellent. It is in a great location for exploring upper yubeng and the glacier lake.
What made our stay unforgettable was the amazing service we received by the owner and staff whilst we stayed here. The lady provided us with everything we needed to know during our stay in yubeng, including sunrise times, and answered any and every question we had about yubeng as a whole. They provided an atmosphere that was very welcoming and it really does feel like I was invited to stay at their home. They provided free water and free laundry service, as well as free use of hiking poles for our hikes. The breakfast included was excellent and was different for each day we stayed, and they provide you with a free lunch pack to take on your hike, which was a nice gesture which we appreciated. Additionally, everyone here speaks both mandarin and cantonese, so if you're travelling from Guangdong or Hong Kong and would like to feel at home, this is the perfect place to be.
Overall, this was an amazing accommodation to stay at due to the amazing service, location and facilities and the owner and her family really do treat you like family. I would highly recommend staying here, and if I ever come back to yubeng, I will definitely stay here again!
