This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.

"First off, the hotel owner was incredibly kind and understanding. We had originally booked two twin rooms for four people, but two of our group fell ill with altitude sickness and couldn't make it. According to policy, canceling one room would have incurred a 30% charge. However, after hearing our situation, the owner proactively offered a free cancellation, which I truly appreciate. Secondly, the hotel really pays attention to the details. For example, the rooms come equipped with electric blankets, binoculars, oxygen concentrators, and even high-quality tissues. The bathroom has a heater/ventilator, and the Western breakfast is both generous and delicious. Lastly, the hotel is located in the first row, offering unobstructed views of the Meili Snow Mountain directly from the rooms and the rooftop. The rooftop even has tripods available for guests. We were very lucky to witness the stunning 'Golden Mountain in the Morning Sun' phenomenon on Meili Snow Mountain. Tashi Delek! 🙏"

"The landlady was exceptionally kind, and the front desk staff was very enthusiastic, helping us adjust the oxygen concentrator, underfloor heating, and humidifier. Their diffused oxygen concentrator is truly commendable. Firstly, it's incredibly quiet, and secondly, it can simulate an altitude of 2000m, ensuring a good night's sleep. Absolutely fantastic! 👍 The humidifier here is also very powerful, the windows are double-glazed, making it very quiet, and all the bedding is new, which is noticeable. The hot water supply is ample, and the small balcony is great for photos. There's also a viewing platform. All the disposable amenities are of high quality; they provide toothbrushes, razors, hairdryers, shower gel, conditioner, and everything else you might need. The hairdryer is particularly powerful. I slept soundly all night. This hotel is very new, with modern facilities, and the small details are very well thought out. They even provide disposable bath towels. Having traveled extensively over the past few years, including Western Sichuan, Qinghai-Gansu, and Tibet, and stayed in all sorts of hotels, this is one of the very few that has absolutely no downsides."

"I rarely write reviews, but the obvious pros and cons of this stay prompted me to do so. First, the positives: the hotel service was commendable, with many organized activities and complimentary souvenirs. The location and views are indeed excellent; you don't even need to go to the Feilai Temple observation deck. However, room 06 has its view significantly obstructed by the neighboring hotel, so you'll still need to go to the rooftop for the best panorama. Now for the cons: the hotel's facilities are truly subpar. The sink drainage was incredibly slow; a staff member came up and worked on it for a while, saying it was a bit clogged and just draining slowly, but couldn't fix it properly as it was late. The door frame was cracked from the wall, and the floor gaps were visible as shown in the picture. Based on the facilities alone, it's not worth the price. On this trip, I stayed one night in Wunongding and one night in Feilai Temple. Considering Snow Mountain Awakening is one of the priciest hotels in Feilai Temple, my overall assessment is that its value for money doesn't compare to similarly priced hotels in Wunongding."

Whether you travel with family and kids, hang out with friends or take a solo trip to the snow mountain, you can enjoy a pleasant and reassuring journey here.

"The location is quite good, the only downside is that there's construction everywhere, so it's dusty. If you park your car outside for a day, it gets really dirty. It's also noisy, and the cranes outside the window obstruct the view. However, for this price in Feilai Temple, it's an absolute steal! We got incredibly lucky; it snowed heavily when we arrived, and we actually saw the 'Golden Mountain in the Sunrise' from our room. The transportation is convenient with parking right outside. My husband and I also enjoyed a short walk to Feilai Temple at night; we loved having Feilai Temple all to ourselves in the evening. I'd suggest repositioning the bed to face the mountains, as shown in picture 5, for even better photos!"

Secondly, it should be just opened and has not decided to do pet-friendly. It is recommended that the store do it. Take the puppy out to travel and spend money to live in a few hotels. The puppy tutor is not It will be bad, but the quality is very high. The scenery has nothing to say. The staff are also smiling. Afternoon tea can be delivered to the room. "Staying at Tianjing Yunye in Meili Snow Mountain was an amazing experience! ✨ The room was clean and had great views. I was suffering from altitude sickness, and the owner even gave me an oxygen tank when I checked out – so thoughtful! Five-star recommendation! It's pet-friendly and very close to the Feilai Temple viewpoint, just a 10-minute walk. The owner is very warm-hearted. The highland barley pancake for breakfast was delicious. There's a viewing balcony, but you can't see the 'Golden Mountain in the Sun' from there; you have to go to the viewpoint for that. Be sure to try the roasted yak skewers by the road near the snow mountain, they're really good!"

"Firstly, this has to be one of the nicest places which I stayed at in Yunnan, or in China for that matter. You may be thinking that is price is good to be true, but this place performs well above what is to be expected of that price range. I was originally planning to stay elsewhere in Benzilan, but am very glad that I stayed here. The rooms are super spacious with high ceilings and wooden furniture. The view out of my window was very green and calming. The amenities were all well-maintained and very clean. The pictures really don't do the rooms the justice that they deserve. Secondly, and very importantly, the owner - a young Benzilan local who operates the hotel with his mother - is exceptionally kind, genuine and friendly. As a solo traveller, he helped organise transport, offered lunch, and even some of the local liquor. As far as service goes, this place remains unbeaten amongst all the places I've travelled in China. The hotel overlooks the mountains surrounding Benzilan. In the evening, you can peacefully sit outside the hotel on its elevated terrace and quietly watch the mountains as the sun goes down. I would not hesitate to stay again."

"The views from Upper Yubeng are incredible! At 7:10 AM, I opened the curtains and saw the sun illuminating the 'Golden Mountain' (referring to the Meili Snow Mountain's peak). The dinner was delicious; it was raining outside, so a bowl of matsutake chicken soup was wonderfully warming. The guesthouse also offers free crampons and trekking poles for rent, which is very convenient. They even have a laundry room and dryer. The guy at the front desk was super nice; he even cooked me congee for dinner, provided Smecta and oxygen, and reminded me to drink more hot water."

GGuest UserSince we came from Yubeng Village and didn't rent a car, the hotel's location was indeed much more suitable for self-driving. Fortunately, the hotel accommodated these inconveniences. The hotel was renovated from an abandoned elementary school, but the overall feel is like a designer's new creation. The amenities were excellent. In addition to the essentials, there was a tea table by the large window facing the mountains. The bed was large, and our room wasn't arranged side by side, but rather one side by one, which was quite unique and even involved a fight over it. The laundry service was thoughtful, and they even delivered goodnight milk in the evening. I also commend the breakfast, which offered both Chinese and Western options. It was one of the most comfortable and freshest breakfasts I've had in Yunnan these past few days, and the Western dishes were very satisfying. The hotel is located in a village group of only eight households, a quiet place with both activity and tranquility. The villagers are simple and shy, and after a walk, I joined them in circumambulating the Buddhist scriptures. Nearby are the Baima Snow Mountain, perfect for hiking, the Niding Line, perfect for children, and numerous wineries. The town itself is famous for the story of a French grandmother. Driving on your own is definitely more enjoyable, but mountain roads require some driving skills. Time is limited, so I'll definitely make up for this regret next time I drive on my own.

GGuest User🏔️Meili Podu | 24 Hours of Healing with Snow-capped Mountains, ******* Incense, and Afternoon Tea in Wunongding ✨ I'd heard for a while that Meili Podu was the 'must-visit' hotel pinnacle. I'd stayed at Tengchong Podu before and found it rather ordinary, but this time I finally decided to go for the Meili route. The 4-hour drive from Shangri-La wasn't short, but the moment we arrived in Wunongding – it was totally worth it! 🤍 🌄 Environment We stayed in the White Pagoda Room. Although it didn't face directly onto the main peak of Kawagebo, the window view was still tranquil and therapeutic. Wunongding is quiet with few people. In the morning, drinking hot tea on the balcony and watching the clouds drift among the mountains brought such peace to my mind. 🍰 Snow Mountain View Afternoon Tea for Two I never expected to find such photo-worthy and delicious afternoon tea at such a high altitude! The pastries were exquisite, and the coffee was surprisingly good. Just staring at the snow-capped mountains, taking photos, and sipping tea – it was the ideal vacation scene! 📸 🛌 Room Experience The complimentary snacks and drinks in the minibar were plentiful. They even thoughtfully provided a large cloth bag, fearing we couldn't carry everything. The room was warm and clean, and bathing while enjoying the mountain view was absolutely divine. In the evening, we immersed ourselves in making ******* incense and painting Thangkas, truly experiencing ******* culture. Time here became soft and precious. 💁 Service with Full Attention to Detail Upon entering, we were presented with a Hada (ceremonial scarf) and welcome tea. The service throughout was warm yet restrained. When we checked out, the front desk gave us a prayer wheel and handmade soap. Leaving with such blessings, it felt less like staying at a hotel and more like being a guest at a friend's home for two days. If you're also looking for a quiet place with stunning views, culture, and thoughtful details to heal your soul, Meili Podu is worth the detour. #MeiliPodu

PparaworldThe room was spotless, and the 1.2-meter single bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety of options. The hotel staff were all warm and professional. The staff on the 4th-floor viewing platform, in particular, were outstanding; they taught us how to capture beautiful photos of the scenery. The butler service group was incredibly responsive. The hotel is located near the Wunongding viewing platform, so you don't have to brave the early morning cold to see Meili Snow Mountain; you can see it directly from the 4th floor. We were so lucky this time, from January 25th to 27th, we saw the breathtaking 'Sunrise over Golden Mountain' (Rizhao Jinshan) of Meili Snow Mountain for two days, as well as the 'Sunset over Silver Mountain' on the first day. The two documentaries shown at night, ”Kawa Karpo” and ”The Salt Road,” were fascinating. The small gift we received upon check-out was lovely. However, the dinner selection was uninspiring, and the portions were small. For instance, the stir-fried Pipa pork with matsutake had very little meat and mushrooms, but a lot of green onions. I hope they can improve this aspect!

GGuest UserFirst off, I have to say, this guesthouse is destined to be a hit! I'd been planning my trip to Meili Snow Mountain for a long time, did a lot of research, and ultimately decided to stay in Feilai Peak. There were quite a few hotel and guesthouse options around Feilai Peak, but I eventually settled on this guesthouse with zero negative reviews. 1. **Transportation:** The guesthouse is less than a 10-minute walk from the Feilai Peak parking lot. The national highway is now fully paved, making it an easy walk. It's also only about a 10-minute walk to the Feilai Peak observation deck, where you can see the 'Golden Sun on Snow Mountains' phenomenon – very convenient. 2. **Facilities:** The room facilities are brand new because it's a recently opened establishment. They are very modern, with oxygen supply, electric blankets, heaters, and heated toilet seats, all readily available. I was truly surprised by how advanced everything was. 3. **Food:** We weren't arriving at the guesthouse until almost 10 PM, and I was initially wondering how we'd get dinner. To my surprise, the guesthouse offers a variety of meals, and the selection is very rich. Guests even get a 15% discount, and the owner personally delivered our food to the room. The taste was excellent! 4. **Personal Touch:** The main reason I'd recommend everyone stay here is the incredible hospitality from the owners. From the moment we checked in, the proprietress informed us of the 'Golden Sun on Snow Mountains' viewing times, helped us with our luggage and storing our suitcases, and even turned on the oxygen and electric blankets in our room. Because we spent a bit longer admiring the snow mountains the next day, the proprietress patiently waited for us to return and prepared a lavish rice noodle breakfast, complete with eggs, hot soy milk, and fruit. It was incredibly thoughtful and touching. Finally, I want to say that travel isn't just about enjoying beautiful scenery; it's also about experiencing the local culture and people. From the owners, I felt their warmth, kindness, and attentiveness. At this price, not only is the accommodation great value for money, but the human touch is truly priceless. I wish the owners all the best!

AAnonymous UserThe view in the room is spectacular. You can see the view of the snow mountain and lush green mountains while taking a bath or in bed. It was the most wonderful stay for us. The room also came with all the amenities needed, equipped with a Dyson hairdryer and a Smeg kettle, which seems very suitable for the price. They also provide a free laundry service, which they will deliver clean clothes by your door in the morning. Beverages including water, soft drinks, coffee and tea are all included and can be provided as much as you need. They also prepared us sandwiches for us to take for our day hike. The young lady at the front desk, who is also a barista, took very good care of us. She is always active on Wechat for any requests we may have. She also kindly helped us to arrange a van to pick us up from Ninong to Feilaisi. Definitely a rewarding stay after long hikes!

GGuest UserI just randomly picked this hotel, but it completely exceeded my expectations! Opening the window revealed a stunning view of snow-capped mountains and a sea of clouds – the romantic snowy scenery was just breathtaking. The room was cozy and clean, with plenty of oxygen, so I didn't have to worry about altitude sickness at all. Just sitting on the balcony quietly watching the snow was so therapeutic and lovely. The service was incredibly attentive, and even though it's located at high altitude, the stay was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend it!

AAnonymous UserThey say you might not see the ”Golden Mountain in the Sun” in October, so I booked this place to avoid wasting money on a view that might not deliver. Turns out, we actually saw it! Super worth it!! The location is right next to where the bus drops you off, so it's a very easy walk, and close to the Feilai Temple viewing platform. The room was unbelievably spacious, and the underfloor heating worked perfectly. There are only four or five rooms, and the view is absolutely stunning. The owner is very simple and enthusiastic. I highly recommend this for anyone hoping to catch the Golden Mountain but worried about a wasted 4-hour drive if they miss it. The accommodation quality is easily more than triple that of other scenic hotels at the same price point, and the courtyard itself can help ease any disappointment if you don't see the sunrise. Let's talk about the downsides: 1. Feilai Temple is currently under construction, so there are large vehicles at night. I personally wasn't bothered by the noise, but I can't guarantee others wouldn't be. This seems to be a common issue for hotels along this road. 2. The room was very clean and tidy, but I wasn't a fan of the air freshener scent. My partner didn't notice it, though. 3. There were some really large flies. I hope the owner can improve pest control. Although they'll probably freeze to death in a few days, seeing them definitely puts a damper on the mood.

GGuest UserI had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful hotel. The location is perfect—just about 20 minutes from the busy town center, which makes it wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Every morning, I woke up to an amazing mountain view that instantly set the tone for a relaxing day. The property itself is stunning, especially the vineyard, which adds so much charm. I loved the free wine tasting sessions, and the hosts were incredibly kind, caring, and always eager to make sure we had everything we needed. Their warm hospitality truly made the experience feel personal. The food was excellent, with every meal prepared thoughtfully and bursting with flavor. For those who love a bit of adventure, the ATV facilities are a fantastic addition. We also enjoyed grape plucking right in the vineyard—such a unique and fun activity! Overall, this place is a perfect blend of tranquility, great service, and memorable experiences. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature with a touch of adventure. One small issue I had was that the air-conditioner was blowing warm air, but after I informed the team, they fixed it within a short time. Great service and quick response — really appreciated it!
