Before coming here, I was skeptical about the hardware of the homestay, but I was very satisfied after arriving, and stayed decisively for three consecutive days. Open the window every morning, and the bamboo forest on the opposite side is swaying with the wind. In line with the surrounding ecology, it is like a landscape painting with splashed ink. The boss is thoughtful and enthusiastic. I didn't get the tickets. The boss used his personal relationship to think of a way. Thank you so much! Overall an unforgettable trip!

Apologies first, i didn’t take enough pics which didn’t do this place justice 😭😭🫠 But this place, WAS THE BEST STAY i had in my 11 day trip on china, not that the others wasn’t great but this was 💯/10. i love the place so clean, the deco was so 💯👌🏻🤌 chef kiss. And the boss and boss lady were such a great looking couple!!! and they are so nice too, they packed us grapes for our hike and look at the food , it was solid!!! the 阿姨s were so very nice too. I should mention we arrived at the hotel 2am and the boss still helped us checked in so late at night 🥹🥹🥹 also special shoutout to the driver Mr. 李 who is also so kind to so patiently waited for us 🥹🥹🥹. Will forever remember this place for the dope accommodation and amazing 5 star service and honestly the genuine kindness these people have. 💓💓💓

I booked a king-size bed room in the attic, but it felt a little too small. But there is a large terrace next to it, which is very well decorated and has a mahjong table, fireplace, etc. I arrived late so the boss ordered some stir-fry dishes, which were delicious😋 There was also a bonfire at his house, but by that time he was already getting ready for bed💤 so I watched it from a distance on the terrace The next morning the boss cooked 🉐noodles👍

To witness the beauty of Fanjingshan Mountain, I booked a guesthouse not far from the foot of the mountain. Surprisingly, the most memorable experience was enjoying a homemade sour soup hot pot the night before the climb, and setting off fireworks together by the fire. Accommodation is a crucial part of any trip. This guesthouse was 1.9km from the East Gate, allowing me to set off at 7 am to reach the Red Cloud Golden Summit early, arriving at the entrance before 7:40 am. After the climb, to catch a quick taxi ride back and forth from the East Gate starting point, it only cost 24 RMB – incredibly cheap and convenient. For someone carrying several wet clothes, arriving at the guesthouse felt like a breath of fresh air. I booked a twin room, spacious and clean, with a tranquil stream right outside – peaceful and beautiful. I went straight from Tongren Railway Station to Shiqian, and then took a taxi from Shiqian to this guesthouse. I was a little disappointed that I hadn't had Tongren matcha, but when I arrived at the guesthouse at 3 pm, the owner was grinding her own matcha powder and making matcha noodles for herself. Being able to enjoy it for such a low price was a delightful surprise! The landscape design within the guesthouse is a masterpiece meticulously crafted by the owner, both practical and aesthetically pleasing. I had initially been eager to explore the mountains, but I was captivated by the babbling brooks and charming bridges. Chatting with the guests and enjoying the scenery became my cherished memories of Jiangshan County and Tongren. In short, this place was convenient and clean as a lodging, but what truly set it apart was the unexpected and exceptional human touch.

We embarked on a 14-day trip to Guiyang this time. We took a direct bus from Zhenyuan Ancient Town bus station to the East Gate of Fanjingshan. After a short walk of a few minutes, crossing the Heiwuan River Wind-Rain Bridge, which spans the Taiping River and features typical Dong ethnic architectural style, we arrived at the hotel. I'd say the transportation was incredibly convenient. During check-in, we met front desk attendant Xiao Le (No. 02). He was very enthusiastic and smiling, taking our two pieces of luggage and escorting us to our room. He also presented us with complimentary welcome fruits and shared a Fanjingshan travel guide, which we found very touching. Since this was our first time in Guizhou and we were traveling independently, we weren't very familiar with the transport connections. Before our trip, I called the front desk to ask which Fanjingshan gate the hotel was closest to. The person who answered the phone was impatient, said they were busy, and hung up after just a couple of words. It's the same hotel, yet due to differing service attitudes, guests experience very different feelings. If Guizhou wants to develop its tourism industry, even with the national government building highways right to its doorstep, the service awareness still needs significant improvement.

I wholeheartedly recommend this Trip.com boutique B&B; the experience was absolutely fantastic! The facilities are high-end, and some room types even feature an oversized scenic bathtub, where you can soak and enjoy the view outside, instantly melting away travel fatigue. The B&B's location is excellent, perfect for Instagram-worthy photos. It's just a few minutes from the main attractions, yet far enough from the hustle and bustle to enjoy a private, tranquil space. The hygiene management is strict and well-regulated; the cleaning staff are meticulous and responsible. The toiletries are of superior quality, and even thoughtful little extras like laundry detergent and makeup remover pads are provided, showing incredible attention to detail. The butler service is professional and warm; they not only offer spot-on recommendations for local specialty foods and hidden gems but can also customize travel plans to suit your needs. The entire process, from check-in to check-out, was smooth and hassle-free, truly making you feel 'at home'. This boutique B&B comes highly recommended!

The hillside guesthouse felt like a warm welcome home after a long, tiring day at work. Even before arriving, the owner contacted me to remind me to buy tickets, offering plenty of advice and hiking tips, along with transportation information. There was no need to plan anything here; everything was taken care of – food, accommodation, transportation, and entertainment. Upon arrival, the housekeeper warmly helped with our luggage, and the owner greeted us enthusiastically, like old friends even though we'd never met before. After check-in, we were immediately offered sparkling water, iced coffee, and welcome fruit. The air conditioning was already on, and the room was clean and hygienic, with a small courtyard for easy access. Breakfast wasn't as lavish as a hotel meal, but it was delicious: minced meat rice noodles, fried eggs, steamed corn bread, steamed corn, and millet cakes – the taste was unlike anything you'd find in a pre-made meal. They even packed up the leftovers for us to take hiking. After breakfast, the owner drove us to the scenic area in his Porsche. The scenic area was only 1 kilometer from the guesthouse, but he insisted on driving us there, saying parking would be inconvenient late at night. He also offered to pick us up on the way back, but we took a taxi – very convenient indeed. What surprised me most when we returned to the guesthouse after our hike was the foot bath tub they had provided. We sat in the pavilion, sipping tea and soaking our feet – it was incredibly relaxing. I'll definitely come back and recommend it to my friends. Goodbye!

The location of this place is absolutely superb; it's just a short stroll to the ticket gate. We came by car, and parking was very convenient as well! The service was incredibly friendly. I was worried about rain and intended to buy a raincoat, but the front desk staff advised me not to rush, suggesting I wait until the next morning, and even kindly pointed out that raincoats can get quite stuffy. Their helpfulness was much appreciated! Also, it's unfair to compare hotels located right at the entrance of a scenic area with those in the city center; they serve different purposes. I had booked 6:45 AM tickets, and staying here made the early start incredibly enjoyable.

The inn is very close to the hiking trail entrance, just a 6-7 minute walk away. There's an elevator, so bringing lots of luggage isn't a problem. The bed was quite comfortable to sleep in. The soundproofing isn't great though; I could hear the cleaning staff and other guests passing by in the morning. Since it was the off-season when I went, it wasn't fully booked, which was good, otherwise, it would have really affected my sleep.

Fanjingshan Villa truly lives up to its name as a resort! The overall area is massive, and it even has charming hillside courtyards. We arrived at 11 PM, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. They offered a complimentary fruit platter and upgraded us to a family room, which was a very spacious duplex with a kitchen. The bathroom and toilet were separate. There was even a small courtyard right outside with a stone table and stools. The resort is conveniently located 5 km from the Fanjingshan East Gate ticket office, about a 10-minute drive. Getting Fanjingshan tickets in the summer is notoriously difficult, but we actually met someone here who helped us get them! What luck! Overall, it was a very satisfying stay. The environment is excellent, the facilities are great, and the service is top-notch! It's a high-class resort, which was evident from the fact that most of the cars in the parking lot last night were luxury brands.
