Giza Hotels with Bars

My wife's strong interest in Egyptian history brought us here. Before our trip, I read a travel blog that mentioned a hotel where you could see the pyramids while having breakfast, and it was also the signing place of the Cairo Conference. So, I booked it. Honestly, it feels like all the money went into that pyramid view. For this price, I really couldn't find any other advantages, though perhaps that's just how it is throughout Egypt. They're also very friendly towards Westerners. The food was quite bad, and service depended entirely on tipping. It was an exhausting stay for me.

I didn't have high expectations for accommodation in Egypt, so overall, I thought it was pretty good. The room was quite large, a bit old but reasonably clean. The bathroom was okay, but the sink was too small with no space for toiletries, and most importantly, it was leaking. The bed was comfortable, the bedding was clean, and the pillows were very comfy, so we slept soundly and rested well. They provide two complimentary bottles of water daily, and you can ask the front desk for more if needed. The staff at the front desk were very nice and helpful. The hotel offers disposable slippers but no toothbrushes or other toiletries. Breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options and good taste, enough to fill you up before starting your day.

The environment is decent, and the lobby service is okay. There was a security guard with a gun, and everyone's service attitude was very enthusiastic. Breakfast was very average, everything was sickly sweet, and there was no meat dish, just a very unappetizing sausage slice. The hotel is located about 30 meters down a small street next to a green park. I'd say the location is just so-so. There are often young hoodlum-like people in that park, and there are many shops next to this green park: McDonald's, Orange, a convenience store, banks, clothing stores, etc. The bed in the room was huge, the carpet was a bit dirty, and the facilities looked rather old. The housekeeping staff had a great attitude. To get into the room, you had to insert the key card and immediately pull it out. The quality of the card or the card reader was quite poor; I was stuck outside the door several times and had to call housekeeping to let me in. Then, one day, this broken card stopped working twice in a single day, forcing me to go to the lobby twice to get new ones!!! I tipped the cleaning staff 50 EGP, and they did an excellent job! They also fulfilled my request for extra water bottles!!! However, one day, I only had one towel in my room??? I have no idea what happened!!

Location, location, location! Mohammed and Mustafa and staff are lovely and the best thing about this is location. Also, AC is great and hot water in shower, all really good things. Splurge and get the balcony, because if you get the $15 room, it’s an inside room - read everything carefully. But the balcony gives you breakfast with the pyramids. A couple of doors over there is heaven‘s lounge which you can get beer and alcohol at which is lovely to spend the evenings at with wine under the pyramids. You will get nothing of that here. I do have a bit of a bone to pick with trip.com because they didn’t do their research as there is no restaurant, there is no bar and there is no pool or gym in this place, which is why I downgraded the amenities. However if you were going to Giza for the pyramids, this is the place. Yes it is right behind the camel and the horse staging area so from 8 o’clock in the morning till quitting time which is 4 o’clock in the afternoon, you will have the authentic experience. If you do not like trash, if you do not like dust, if you do not like smells, you should probably just not be coming to Egypt in general! Because it is everywhere. However, if you want the authentic experience at the base of the pyramids, this is the place. Oh, and the Internet is crap… So just make sure you have a really good cellular plan because it’s no better anywhere else in Egypt either.  From our experience, and we have traveled everywhere, the left over British colonies just don’t have a really great Wi-Fi infrastructure. 

The staff are all very helpful. The toilet and shower are also beautiful. There are soap, tissues and toilet paper. The door has a key and a chain lock. There is also a safe in the room. It was a very nice hotel. I moved to a different hotel now but I want to return to this hotel again (-_-)

The hotel has pyramid view on their rooftop, you cN enjoy the view while havinv your breakfast..the room was ok, but lack of amenities..the breakfast was good..the staff is friendly..overall we have a good tine while staying there

The hotel is located right next to the entrance to the Giza plateau, which is its main advantage. We booked a more expensive room with a balcony and a pyramid view. While you can see the pyramids, there's a construction site directly below the windows. This spoils the entire view, and it's quite noisy from the ongoing construction work. The builders didn't even stop in the evenings. There's also a lot of noise transfer from neighbors – constant slamming doors and conversations. The room itself is far from new, and the towels are very worn out. There are no slippers, but toiletries are provided. There's a kettle (which gives off a plastic smell when boiling) and two cups (which looked like they hadn't been washed, with tea stains). A big disappointment was the hotel staff. We had planned to have dinner in the hotel's pyramid-view restaurant in the evening. When checking in, we asked if a reservation was needed and were told it wasn't, just to show up. However, we couldn't get in because the restaurant was fully booked by a large group. One of the hotel staff members kept shouting that everything was reserved and wouldn't let us sit down or even look at the menu. When we asked for five minutes to choose a dish for dinner, he just repeated the same thing and shooed us away. We ended up having dinner in our room, but this situation severely soured our impression of the hotel. I cannot recommend this hotel. If and when a new building is constructed in front of the hotel, it might completely lose any advantages it currently has.

I recently stayed at a hotel while sightseeing, and had a very comfortable time. The hotel's convenient location with easy access to major tourist attractions was extremely helpful. Upon arrival, the staff greeted me with a smile, and I felt their warmth in their detailed explanations and attentiveness. The room was clean and had a calming atmosphere, allowing me to relax and unwind after a long day. The amenities and facilities were well-equipped, and I felt that they had paid careful attention to my comfort. The staff were always attentive throughout my stay, which made me feel at ease. I am truly grateful, and it was a wonderful hotel that I would definitely like to stay at on my next trip.

Staff Amazingly friendly and helpful, The views are incredible from room to resturant to roof top, where i got to watch and hear the evening light show in fully glory. Booked for my 1st 2nights in Egypt, perfect location in front of the sphinx side entrance to the plateau, literally a 2 min walk.. This side of Giza is rough and ready though.. with animals being housed on the ally leading to the entrance so expect the smell of horse and camel poo (which wasn’t a problem once in the hotel) also expect to be bothered a lot by the local hustlers and kids begging for something/anything.. The streets are noisy and hectic this side but you also get a more authentic Giza experience, The Hotels staff were super accommodating and welcoming, they were willing to help organise trips and guides but I wasn’t in need as i already had stuff arranged.. Breakfast was basic but enough to get your day of adventure started with plenty of option around for off site dinning. The best thing apart from the staff was the view tho.. with all 3 great pyramids and sphinx in view and close enough to get the full effect inc the sounds of the light show. Would recommend for a cheap budget stay close to the entrance of the plateau with the best views

My one-night stay on the 4th floor was incredibly disappointing. After arriving exhausted from my travels, I finally settled into sleep, only to have my rest cut short at 8:00 AM by the floor supervisor. Instead of maintaining a quiet environment for guests, he treated the hallway like a social club—shouting at staff, laughing loudly, and using his phone on speakerphone for everyone to hear. I even knocked on my door to alert him to the noise, but he completely ignored me and continued his disruptive behavior until the moment I checked out. I was actually planning to book an additional night, but after this experience, I wouldn't dream of staying here again. It is shocking that a supervisor would have so little respect for paying guests
