The Mena House's views and location are truly unbeatable, one of a kind in the world. You can only fully experience the pyramids from sunrise, midday, to sunset by staying here. As night falls, without the pyramid lights, they appear exceptionally serene and mysterious, framed by the hotel's lights and palm trees. This is an experience that simply can't be replicated by just visiting for a quick photo. The hotel also carries immense historical significance. The Cairo Conference was signed here, and photos of the 'Big Three' from that era hang on the walls, full of historical resonance. For me, paying for this unique scenery and historical ambiance was absolutely worth it; I have no regrets. However, frankly speaking, the hotel's amenities, service, and attention to detail absolutely do not match its price (you're paying for the location, not the service). The hairdryer has weak power, leaving my hair dry and frizzy at the ends. The toiletries, especially the toothpaste, are of poor quality, like a product without any brand or quality assurance. There's only one type of pillow, and it's so soft it offers no support whatsoever. After one night, my neck was aching – not what you'd expect from a high-end hotel. The restaurant experience was also terrible: I ordered soup, and it was served without a spoon. I couldn't find one anywhere, and by the time the waiter brought one, the soup was completely cold. The restaurant staff would even specifically ask if everything was satisfactory, but by then, complaining felt pointless, so I could only say 'it's fine.' What was even more unsettling was the fake, superficial service. When I genuinely needed help or efficiency, no one was around. When checking out, my suitcase had spinner wheels and was very easy to push, but a staff member insisted on 'helping' with it, performing this kind of meaningless, superficial gesture. In summary: Staying here means paying for the pyramid views and the historical sentiment, not for comfort and service. Those who value scenery and historical significance might find it acceptable, but anyone seeking genuine service quality and a premium lodging experience will definitely be disappointed.

It was my daughter's 30th birthday and we stayed over at this hotel. The staff were superb and helped make my daughter's birthday so special. They gave us a upgrade suite and allowed offered complimentary late checkou which was amazing. Food is superb as well as cocktails. The lovely Huge celebration cake was superb. The petit chef experience on the Nile was superb and food was so delicious and big portions which I recommend to do. the hotel manager gave us a complimentary drink before walking us over to the boat and provided a car to pick us up after our. Meal on the boat.

Got an upgraded room with a river view, it was a side view but still very pretty. The included dinner was mediocre, not many dishes, but the BBQ was decent. Drinks were not included. Breakfast was at the same restaurant, with more variety and quite tasty. I recommend the traditional fried dishes. The restaurant drinks were a bit pricey compared to the hotel's caliber.

The price was super reasonable, and our guide, Mo Karam, was an absolute standout. Thoughtful, packed with Egyptian history knowledge, and brimming with passion – he fielded my endless questions (seriously, a million of them!) with patience and extra stories that made the sites come alive. Booking him felt like unwrapping a gift. We love venturing out solo, but Cairo's energy is intense – constant traffic from dawn till dusk, and haggling with taxis can eat up your day. With Mohamed's help to hire a driver and car for city jaunts was spot-on; it saved us hours and stress. He was always there for backup, too. The personal touches sealed the deal: When I woke up with a pesky cough one morning, Mohamed sent over a steaming ginger tea to soothe my throat – talk about heartfelt! Then there's Mo, who brews Turkish coffee that's honestly better than anything I tried at local cafes. And the chef? She's a quiet force of kindness – doesn't speak much English, but her caring energy shines through in every meal. The whole staff is like that: friendly, chatty, and eager to help with whatever's on your mind, from hidden gems to quick translations. We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate my husbands birthday. The location is perfect for visiting the Pyramids/GEM. The reception staff were lovely upon checking in and it was a lovely surprise to see they had decorated our room and also provided a birthday cake for my husband. The room had a great view of the pyramids. The downside was the cleanliness of our room, I don’t think it had been hoovered as there was a lot of rubbish on the floor and the bathroom/toilet had some stains. The TV remote was not working but a quick call to housekeeping solved that which we appreciated. The room service was really good as was the breakfast buffet. I would recommend staying here for the hospitality and location of the hotel however, hope they improve their cleanliness.

Very nice hotel! The environment is very good, the room is clean, the service is very warm, the breakfast is also very good, it is very close to the pyramids, you can have breakfast in the morning and then go to the pyramids, and you can take a shower and check out when you come back. The lady at the front desk is also very cute!

This hotel truly surpassed my expectations. Its location is excellent, just 50 meters downstairs from the entrance to the Giza Pyramids complex. Compared to the many shabby accommodations in the vicinity, it stood out as the only clean, well-kept, and rather upscale-looking hotel. It's exceptionally clean and tidy, the staff provides excellent service, and the rooms are comfortable, on par with standards expected of a good mid-range hotel chain. Our pyramid-view room offered direct views of the pyramids right from the window. The rooftop restaurant also boasts stunning, direct views of the Giza Pyramids. Breakfast was quite extensive; although predominantly Western fare, the roasted eggplant was particularly delicious. It's almost flawless. If I had to mention a minor point, the rooftop restaurant is quite expensive, with many dishes priced around 70-80 RMB. Luckily, more affordable dining options like KFC and Pizza Hut are conveniently located nearby.

The hotel wasn't very clean, and the room had a lot of issues, from the water pressure to the dingy towels. However, the hotel was very quiet and the mattresses were comfortable, so I slept great. The breakfast was tasty and varied. The relaxation area with a view of the pyramids was the main reason I chose this hotel.

Facilities: Excellent, there's even a Starbucks on the first floor. They also showed the World Cup in the lobby at night, which was a nice touch. The only downside was that the mini-fridge was a bit old and could use an upgrade. Cleanliness: Very clean. Environment: Located during the World Cup, it's very close to Liberation Square and the Egyptian Museum of Archaeology, about a 30-minute walk. Service: Very good.
