"This hotel is excellent in terms of location, service, and cleanliness, and the staff are very kind and helpful. I highly recommend it to everyone. It's close to all attractions, and all amenities are available just a few steps from the hotel. You'll find everything you need, from mosques (including one for Friday prayers) to restaurants, cafes, telecom companies, and a pharmacy, among other things."

"Facilities: Excellent, there's even a Starbucks on the first floor. They also showed the World Cup in the lobby at night, which was a nice touch. The only downside was that the mini-fridge was a bit old and could use an upgrade. Cleanliness: Very clean. Environment: Located during the World Cup, it's very close to Liberation Square and the Egyptian Museum of Archaeology, about a 30-minute walk. Service: Very good."

"The grounds and views are simply breathtaking – truly no alternatives. This is essentially why people come here and pay the price. HOWEVER! After staying at a good hotel in Cairo, Mena House feels like a budget trip to a summer cottage. This applies to everything: the interior, the furniture, the toiletries. The restaurant is expensive and not particularly tasty. They treat you like a tourist, meaning they don't really notice you or make an effort. You could just come here in the evening to take photos and dine at the restaurant. Probably, if I had known it was this simple, I would have done just that. They even bring tourists here by bus; we saw them. On the positive side, there's also a golf cart and a separate entrance to the pyramids. Tickets are paid, but the golf cart ride there and back is free. We had an unpleasant situation at the restaurant, which I reported to the manager when we were checking out. All the managers spoke with us and tried to resolve the situation. To leave a good impression and smooth things over, they gave me 5000 Marriott loyalty program points. But they won't be useful to me back home. I tried to book a same-day spa appointment but couldn't. For my birthday, they left a small cake in the room, and that was it. A room upgrade was offered for $500 for two days, not as a complimentary birthday gesture. The soundproofing is so bad it's like your neighbors are entering your room at night and lying down next to you in bed. The air conditioning wasn't working. This hotel is purely a tourist gimmick."

"Got an upgraded room with a river view, it was a side view but still very pretty. The included dinner was mediocre, not many dishes, but the BBQ was decent. Drinks were not included. Breakfast was at the same restaurant, with more variety and quite tasty. I recommend the traditional fried dishes. The restaurant drinks were a bit pricey compared to the hotel's caliber."

"The garden view room exceeded my expectations, and there's a balcony outside where you can hang clothes to dry. They also have connecting rooms. Breakfast was good, and the pool was comfortable. In Egypt, I highly recommend driving; it's convenient to get anywhere by car."

"It was my daughter's 30th birthday and we stayed over at this hotel. The staff were superb and helped make my daughter's birthday so special. They gave us a upgrade suite and allowed offered complimentary late checkou which was amazing. Food is superb as well as cocktails. The lovely Huge celebration cake was superb. The petit chef experience on the Nile was superb and food was so delicious and big portions which I recommend to do. the hotel manager gave us a complimentary drink before walking us over to the boat and provided a car to pick us up after our. Meal on the boat."

"The hotel's location and service were both very average, but that's Cairo for you, I guess it's pretty much the same everywhere. The good thing is that it's relatively quiet; not being noisy at night is a huge plus in Cairo. When booking, make sure to confirm the '1.81-meter king bed' – it's actually 1.51 meters. When you get there, you should check and can request to change it; we were just too lazy to bother."
