Giza Hotels with Wifi

"Honestly, when I first saw Dou Dou, I was a bit put off. My first thought was, ”Is this it? Just a guesthouse in a residential building?” (Pics 1-3 show the building entrance and elevator lobby, the guesthouse reception is on the 5th floor, and rooms are on floors 4-5). The elevator didn't even have an inner door, just the outer doors on each floor (Pic 4). Thankfully, the room itself was decent, pretty much matching the photos on the platform. It was spacious enough, the hot water was plentiful, and the mattress was soft (the kind you sink right into). While the hardware is quite basic, the guesthouse service is excellent. Purified water is provided for free, you can use the front desk's phone to order takeout directly to the room for dinner, and the next day's 'tomb-view' breakfast was very generous and served in portions – the bran pancakes were delicious. Luggage storage is also free. Therefore, the service at this guesthouse completely makes up for any shortcomings in the facilities."

"This was such a lovely place, it was clean, newly created and the staff were all so helpful. The view was amazing, both in the room and rooftop, you can wake up, use the loo or shower and the view of this ancient site will be visible through the window, a beautiful experience. (I chose the pyramid view room) The rooftop was lovely, the view was immaculate, you can see the city around and the view of the pyramids with lights at night, you can see the sunrise and sunset, and the moon cycle too. The staff are always at your service, they often check in on you, unless you want to be alone and they treat you with respect and kindness. I met the managers of the hotel too, who were so welcoming, they offered me tea, good conversation and were overall good genuine people. The room was comfortable, I was alone but had the choice of two beds, you can see the view from the bed, the room was very clean, you are provided with everything you need, and if you don't have it you can ask. The room was also temperature regulated with Aircon above the bed, and a remote to control the speed and temperature, much needed in the Egyptian weather. Overall the experience was great and I met other people who were staying in the hotel who said good things, which is always good to know when you are alone, staying somewhere new. Although odd, the hotel being close to the highway was great for getting taxis, bikes and crossing over to walk into the city and town. When you are in your room, and the windows are closed, you rarely hear anything, beside light sounds, it doesn't disturb my sleep at all. The staff were great, the owners were great, the location was great and it was a good experience which I recommend."

"The room was quite spacious; we stayed in a triple room. The hotel has a rooftop restaurant that offers a free and plentiful breakfast, with views of the pyramids. There aren't many dining options around in the evening, so we ended up eating at the hotel restaurant as well. Our original room was a bit close to the front desk, and since my parents are light sleepers, I spoke to a staff member named Khalid, who kindly moved us to a different room. The staff here are really enthusiastic and helpful."

"Hotel is clean and close to pyramids but walking distance can’t reach. Have to take uber/inDrive for 10mins ride to reach pyramids and the Egyptian museum. We arrived at 7am and asked for early checked in which costs extra $25 USD and included breakfast,we were so happy with it. The hotel already include breakfast for all the guests. However the room is not family friendly as the toilet is transparent. Might be difficult to stay if you have a teenager kids. Even with a bind but you still can see through the toilet. And the hotel doesn’t provide amenities except shampoo and shower gel and towels. A gentle reminder to prepare all those yourselves."

"This is a 5-star hotel in the old city. Getting a taxi can involve a wait, and crossing the bridge often means traffic jams, which can be an issue if you have a lot of work in New Cairo. The surrounding area has a lively, local feel, making it more suitable for tourists heading to Giza. The breakfast was decent, and I really liked the gym. The hotel has a lot of rooms, and while the facilities aren't exactly new, the service was consistently good. It's a fine place to stay."

"The so-called ”pyramid side view” room actually only offers a city view. You can't see the pyramids from the room at all. To catch a glimpse, you have to lean out the window, and even then, you'll only see a tiny fraction of them. So, the hotel is dishonest and deceptive. If you want to see the pyramids, you'll have to go to the rooftop terrace. Definitely do NOT book the pyramid side view room! Furthermore, the area downstairs is quite unpleasant, and the Wi-Fi is poor, even cutting out at night. At 4 AM, you'll be jolted awake by very loud chanting from loudspeakers, so be prepared to be disturbed. The hotel clearly states check-out is before 12 PM, but the front desk insisted we leave by 11 AM! The only positive point is the excellent pyramid view from the terrace, and one young male server at breakfast provided outstanding service."

"The room was exceptionally clean, and the view from the window was absolutely stunning, as you can see from the pictures. You do have to go up a flight of stairs to get to the hotel, but the staff keeps an eye on the监控 (CCTV), so as soon as a guest arrives, they immediately come down to greet you and help with your luggage. The older gentleman with white hair and the young man at the front desk were both incredibly nice and accommodating. They even had congee for breakfast, which was perfect for my Chinese palate. The owner also speaks Chinese, making it a very suitable choice for Chinese travelers. I'm even planning to book this hotel again when I return from Aswan in a couple of days."

"I was traveling solo as a woman, and this hotel was absolutely perfect! The location was amazing, with breathtaking views of the pyramids from both my room and the restaurant. Plus, the entrance to the pyramids was only about a 15-minute taxi ride away. The room itself was spotless, no complaints there. Breakfast was a buffet with made-to-order waffles and omelets, which was a lovely touch. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful; the front desk even checked taxi fares for me beforehand to make sure I wasn't overcharged, and a staff member helped me confirm the taxi number outside. If you're looking for a hotel with pyramid views, you should definitely give this one a try! Highly recommended!"

"The room was absolutely lovely, spacious, good air con, nice sized bathroom. The noise from the street is very loud, good earplugs are helpful. The location to the Pyramids is fantastic, and having breakfast overlooking them is great. On the one occasion we had breakfast, it was very good. Although breakfast was good on the day we had it, it took a very long time for it to be served. We attempted breakfast on the 2nd morning, but no one was there to serve us, so we gave up. We asked for earplugs due to the volume of the street noise, which were kindly provided, but had to chase to get them and waited for an hour for them to arrive. The room is beautiful, location great for the Pyramids, but some work on customer service, and service in general is needed."
