GGuest UserChecked into the same hotel as [person's name/celebrity], right by the beach, so it's super convenient for beach trips. Absolutely love the hotel's decor. It's also easy to get to various night markets and there are plenty of massage places nearby. The staff are all really friendly too.

GGuest UserThe Hyatt itself was quite ordinary, but The Barai was truly exceptional. The Barai is a hotel within a hotel, embodying Cambodian serenity with its vibrant architecture. The suites are premium, spacious, and comfortable, and the spa is wonderfully relaxing. This hotel feels on par with the Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Krabi, or perhaps even a more affordable option, given that both are works by Thailand's national treasure architect, Lek Bunnag.

KKAKAVWANGThe hotel's location is super convenient with a mall right at the entrance. The SPA on the third floor of the mall is almost identical to the Marriott's resort-style SPA, and it's very relaxing, though reservations are a must. The mall itself has a great selection of clothing stores, restaurants, cafes, and bubble tea shops.
The staff quality is on par with other Marriott resort hotels, which is to say, very good.
The restaurant and bar by the hotel beach are perfect for photos.
I tried every restaurant. At the main restaurant, the tiger prawns served for dinner were dead. They wouldn't refund me, only offered to cook new ones, which took an incredibly long time. I had to wait for my prawns even after finishing the rest of my meal! The other two restaurants were just so-so and not worth the price. There are plenty of Western restaurants on the main street, just a short walk or taxi ride away, that are delicious and half the price. The bar in the evening is very pleasant.
The circular swimming pool, which connects to the main pool, is incredibly long. Swimming two laps with the kids felt like I lost a whole size from my waist – the pool gets a big thumbs up.
Unfortunately, my child ended up with severe vomiting and diarrhea, and after returning home, tested positive for a viral infection. I'm not sure if it was the food or the water quality, or just my child's lower immunity, but it's a reminder to be extra careful with very young children when they're playing in the water and eating out.
I visited during peak season, so the value for money wasn't great. It might be a better option for a three to five-day stay during the off-peak season.

Serviceminded staff always friendly and smiling, delicious breakfast buffeet, a lot of parking spaces. Beautiful pool by the beach. Pool slides for kids. Great restaurants both at the hotel and right next to the hotel. Modern hotel and room design. Soft beds, very clean rooms and facilities.
Negatives:
This hotel is for families with kids. A lot of kids screaming and playing around the pool areas. Too many rooms compared to the amount of facilities. Queues for sunbeds by the pool, people coming early to reserve sunbeds then coming hours later to use them. Crowded in the breakfast buffeet.
Not what we expected as a couple without kids. I wish we checked the hotels reviews before the came here.

GGuest UserThe Hilton is in the best location, close to everything, the breakfast is really good and lots of it, the setting is lovely and the beach out front is nice but we did get some algae, which went away as quick as it came, the pool area is excellent. The problems we had here was with 1 male staff member on check in (Very rude and off hand but this was fixed by the lady duty manager) and a security guy near the beach was very rude to us and embarrassed us in front of other guests, what happened was, our very first day there, we went to the pool, decided to go for a quick swim at the beach, we took a towel each to the beach, not knowing this is not allowed (this maybe should be mentioned to guests on check in) we did see a sign up after but not at the time, simple mistake but this security guard starts singing out and pointing at us, when we were standing buy the beach, I was looking and trying to sort out what was going on as he didn’t speak English, just pointing and raising his voice, finally another staff member that could speak English came and explained to us, so embarrassing, with so many people watching on, other staff were fine and nice. The room we had was outdated and needs updating, also our internet was so bad, they eventually had to bring a router to the room, the water from the shower very weak, the hotel definitely needs upgrades but overall, it was a pleasant stay, we were on the 8th floor, room 801

HHappy sunnyWe were upgraded to second floor with balcony. New looking room extremely large bed can sleep three or four people! Bathroom new, excellent shower with rain shower, strong pressure hot water. Anantara spa amenities. Love it! Renovation going on here and there but noise gone at 6pm. Breakfast location moved to restaurant in front of beach. A bit cramped but nice views of ocean. Especially loved the large bed & shower (no bathtub). Good sleep. Ricky the parrot is super cute!

GGuest UserHaving found this amazing sanctuary wanted to share it for anyone needing some peace and quiet in their life. It’s only 70 rooms plus 3 villas and 4 suites. So you are never fighting for a sunbed, Or having long cues for the restaurant, Or feeling crowded.
This magical place is the Wora Bura. It's a wonderful, peaceful haven to rest and recharge your battery - five minutes from Central Hua Hin.
It's spacious, beachside with huge pool and wonderful staff and food at very reasonable rates. 2-4-1 cocktails are 4-7 too
Please note:
The Thai hotels are still recovering from the loss of trade during Covid. This wonderful hotel is Looking a little tired in places - Please be kind and understand that just because it’s decors is only 90% doesn’t mean it’s rubbish. I know some five star hotels that are considerably worse!
Need a sanctuary- then you have it with the Wora Bura. A major factor is the space, the rooms are only 2 stories high (unlike other high rise places) and far apart, so no echo. A wonderful quiet feature.
Hope this is useful for anyone looking for a gentle, restful afternoon / evening away from the hustle and bustle, to refresh and re-charge.
BTW - it's on the Song Toa bus route too!
Just use the short cut from Adriana's on Khao Takiab road.
Short cut:
Stop the bus at Adriana's. Immediately opposite Adriana's is a BLUE wall. Down left hand side of the blue wall, heading towards the sea, is a dirt track.
That's your short cut! 50 meters later you are at the Wora Bura

GGuest UserEvery staff we met was warm and friendly. We received timely service via WhatsApp call. The place was rly big and comfortable. V v private villa because it is a distance away from the huahin central area. So getting to places was abit inconvenient. Breakfast is served to you every morning! Comes with toast & croissant, a soup, a main, dessert, fruit platter, one cold and one hot drink.

But we warmed up to it and in the end we didn’t want to leave
It seems like it’s very out of the way of everything, but actually there is a lot to do close by
Lots of good places to eat
The beach may not be as nice as others in Thailand but is super peaceful
All in all the hotel was good, good service and clean
Only issue is that we asked for an extra bed cover and they charged us 50bht
Which is highly unusual
The breakfast was also kind of lackluster so we didn’t have it everyday
And I don’t love the bathroom setting as it lacks privacy
The pool is nice and it has a great view
But it is very small and has not services such a spool bar or changing room/toilets
Usually there was no one there
So all in all is a quaint little hotel in a quaint little beach perfect dor those who prefer peace and quiet and not to much fuss
