Aleksandra ButovaWe booked this hotel because it's part of the Novotel chain, which is worldwide. It's a bit older, but the rooms meet all expectations and have everything you need. The location is perfect, with the Lotus almost directly opposite. The hotel has its own sunbeds on the beach, but there are only 12 for ALL guests, so it's better not to count on them, especially since they are in the 4th or 5th row from the sea. There are always empty sunbeds closer to the sea for 400k VND (for 2). Breakfasts are excellent and varied. The hotel left a good impression, even though we only stayed overnight and had breakfast there.

Guest UserThe room was quite spacious. We booked a sea-view room, and you could see the ocean directly from the window, but as soon as I opened the curtains, a huge signal tower was right in front, which was a bit disappointing, to be honest. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the water temperature was just right with stable water pressure. Flip-flops were provided, and most of the disposable toiletries were well-stocked. The duvet wasn't very thick, but the pillows were quite comfortable. The bedsheets had some stains, like coffee or blue ink that wouldn't wash out, but it didn't bother me too much.
The hotel is less than a 10-minute walk to the beach and also 5 to 10 minutes from the pedestrian street, so the area is very lively. Upon check-in, we were given two refreshing blue pandan drinks, which was a nice touch.
On the second day of our stay, my friend wasn't feeling well due to a fever. I went to the front desk to ask if they had anything for fever or a thermometer, and they responded immediately, which I thought was excellent.

Guest UserI loved that the resort had a bungalow vibe and was so beautifully decorated. The soothing water features in the lobby, combined with the ocean view, were incredibly harmonious and immediately made me feel relaxed the moment I arrived. The room itself was very clean, spacious, and I really enjoyed the bungalow feel.
Another great point was having three swimming options: a private beach and two swimming pools. No matter where I chose to swim, it was never crowded, which made for a very relaxing experience. There's also a restaurant near the pool, which was convenient for ordering things like pizza if I got hungry while swimming!
The resort was about a 15-minute drive from the city center, but the free shuttle service was excellent, dropping us off at most major spots in the city wherever we wanted to go. It worked out perfectly!

Guest UserThis was our second year in a row staying at Star City. We booked a deluxe room with a king-size bed and a sea view, and the view from the window was absolutely beautiful – just like the photos on the website. The breakfasts were great, with plenty of fruit, desserts, and food to suit all tastes, from Vietnamese to European. They refilled everything daily. Linens were changed upon request. The hotel's location is super convenient; it's a short walk to all the attractions. There are lovely lounge areas both inside the hotel and outdoors. The beach is just across the road, and sun loungers cost 100,000 VND, which includes a free drink. We stayed for three weeks, and everything was fantastic. The staff were very quick to respond to our requests.

Guest UserWe just checked out today (June 2026) and were extremely satisfied! The hotel is conveniently located right in the city center, on the second line from the beach. Everything is nearby: the night market, the promenade with the Lotus Tower, cafes, shops, and massage parlors. The dining hall is huge with a wide variety of dishes. We had an upgraded room with two windows, offering great views of both the sea and the city. Linens and towels were changed daily, and we had good hot water pressure, even on the 22nd floor. The hotel is modern with a cozy lobby and three high-speed elevators. I wholeheartedly recommend it! ❤️

Guest UserWe stayed at this hotel for two days, primarily for the amusement park. After checking in at the port, you can reach the hotel either by cable car (which we took on the way there) or by speedboat (our choice for the return journey). If you opt for the speedboat, it's a 5-minute ride, and then you just need to take an elevator. Buggies will be waiting outside the building to take you to your hotel. If you take the cable car, it's about 15 minutes (including boarding, disembarking, and walking to the stop), then you'll need to go up an escalator and walk about 200 meters to the same buggy stop. We checked in quickly at the hotel, and a buggy took us to our villa (we chose this option for 2 adults and 2 children). The villa was huge, with a heated pool. Our villa number started with 4, meaning it was on the fourth level from the sea. Keep this in mind when checking in – it's quite a long walk to the sea and the reception, which is a downside. You constantly have to call for a buggy. During our two-day stay, the WiFi went out twice, leaving us without connection, and we had to call reception on our mobile, which was quite expensive. I can't comment on the beach as we didn't visit it; we had limited time, and our main goal was the amusement park. We preferred the breakfast restaurant to the right of reception; it had everything, even smoothies (the kids were delighted). All our questions were resolved quickly, and the staff were very friendly.

Sofa criticismIbis as usual Good 3*** hotel located in central side of this noisy busy croudy city, small clean room, clean shower and toilet, everything is fine for this reasonable price. Bed is comfortable and clean, everyday housekeeping. Tea/cofee set with cups and 2 bottles of water, but plastic cattle is very cheap and old.
Breakfast + Cold swimming pool and massage we didn’t try, nothing to say. On reception feels uncomfortable. On first floor convenience store and restaurant.
For people who like Nha Trang is convenient location, but for us is uncomfortable, sorry… And on reception they ask 50 $ for deposit, hard to understand why?!

The location is fantastic however the room is getting old showing some cracks on the door and holes on the curtain. Room Needs some upgrade to keep up with the time. Also they didn’t provide free bell luggage services as we had to pay extra to keep our luggage. We had to request a microwave as it was not available in the room when we checked in.

The hotel has a first-line sea view, unobstructed. The room is super big, very spacious, sea view king room, unbeatable sea view, full of sea, superb! A young man at the hotel front desk can speak Chinese, which is rare in Nha Trang, and the process went smoothly. The breakfast is relatively average, the restaurant is wide and has many seats. The hotel does not have currency exchange, but there are many banks and ATM machines around. The surrounding facilities are complete, and there are many supermarkets and restaurants of all sizes, with everything you need. The first-line sea view hotel in Nha Trang City, you have to cross the road to go to the beach, which is very convenient in a few minutes. In short, I have stayed in several hotels in Nha Trang, and this one is very cost-effective. If I come to Nha Trang again, I will choose this hotel.

On Trip the listings are not really as stated. For example: the TV in the room works haphazardly; the “luggage storage” requires a 20K fee per bag - regardless of size; and the “available parking” is also at a fee - 20k per night and then 5k every time you leave your bike during the day. I’ve travelled extensively in Vietnam and when these are listed, hotels don’t charge you for them. I would not have minded if they simply said there was a fee on the listing.
However, what really put me off was the check in. On the site it says check in time is 10:30 - I knew I was going to arrive in the early morning so this was perfect. When I got to the hotel they told me, with a tone, to “come back at 14:00”. When I asked about the 10:30 check-in time on the site he told me “that's only when it’s possible” then swiftly left me there. Okay cool, most hotels have check-in at 14:00 anyways so I didn’t mind much.
Came back way past 14:00 and they told me the room is still not ready. I was asked to wait 15mins minutes, but ended up having to wait for more than an hour. Once they said the room was ready they tried to give me one keycard - telling me there'd be an extra charge for two keys - but all other guests I saw were given two straight away. Once I pointed this out they gave me the extra card. At around 15:45 we were lead up to the room only to find out it was still being cleaned. The manager tried telling us to just go in while the poor auntie was still cleaning, and she'd clean the floor again after us. We were not going to make her clean twice so we waited and thanked the auntie after.
After that, there was not much else that stood out. The rooms looked the same as the pictures on the site, it was well cleaned daily and the location was close to the beach and restaurants.
