This is my second time staying at Dormy Inn, and the hot springs, ramen, Yakult, and ice cream are still available. However, the service is truly disappointing.

Since my check-in day happened to be my birthday, I emailed the hotel to inquire about a possible room upgrade, but received no response. When I asked about the unanswered email during check-in, the first English-speaking staff member seemed dismissive. Then, a Chinese-speaking receptionist told me that even for a birthday, they only offer a small card and nothing else. Alright, I guess I had high hopes.

They directly gave me a corner room where the window opened up to a wall.

I stayed for four nights. On the morning of the third day, I explicitly requested housekeeping, but when I returned, only the towels had been replaced; even the trash can wasn't emptied.

Because I used a Trip.com voucher, the price was discounted. If this is why the service was poor, I hope the platform and the hotel can communicate better. If they can't handle promotions, they shouldn't offer them. Am I being discriminated against for using a voucher, or is it because I'm Chinese?

The breakfast was overpriced and low quality. When I asked a staff member if they had wasabi, they said no. Can you believe that?

In the room, you can't even tell if it's sunny or rainy outside. Judge for yourself.

Location is good, not far from Okachimachi station and surrounded by many restaurants. Bed was hard and pillow was very thin and hard. There was no cleaning service during the stay, new towels were put in front of the room in the morning.

My stay at the Dormy Inn Premium Ginza Natural Hot Spring was excellent overall, even exceeding my expectations. The location in Ginza is perfect – bustling enough for shopping and dining, yet quiet and peaceful when you return to the hotel at night. The highlight was definitely the hot spring. After a long day of exploring, a soak completely relaxed me and melted away all the fatigue. They also offer complimentary ramen in the evening, which was surprisingly good and a nice little bonus. The room wasn't huge, but it was clean, tidy, and fully functional with great attention to detail. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The front desk and staff were all very pleasant and responsive to any questions, which made me feel very secure. It's the kind of hotel you'll remember after one stay. I'd highly recommend it for anyone visiting Ginza or central Tokyo next time!

Dormy Inn chain hotels indeed offer guests a high-quality accommodation experience. The hotel facilities are well-maintained, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the public areas are modern and practical in design. The breakfast service is particularly noteworthy, with a wide variety of dishes, including local specialties and classic international options. The ingredients are fresh, and the cooking is professionally done, providing guests with ample energy to start a great day. Overall, Dormy Inn consistently demonstrates the high standards expected of a chain brand in both its hardware facilities and service details.

The toilet flushing system gives a very bad smell for days. The room corners and doors actually have a lot of dust on it. Poor cleaner limited time n nan power
Hope they can improve on clearing the dust - basin shelf areas, toilet door, near mirror. The 2 pillows are too flat and my neck was in pain for some days in the mornings.  But all the rest of service, onsen and night snack made up for it. The breakfast is almost the same every morning - please change the chicken meatball dish, it's not nice. The eel rice was initially ok but after eating for few days, i can't eat for a week. Changed to eat clear porridge better. Wish they can be clear which omelette has mushrooms or not - love the ones with mushrooms. A lady who works night shift came to my room to help me with my rubbish as i didn't need them to come into my room when i was unwell so i put the no cleaning magnet but she went the extra mile beyond cleaning hours to help me throw my rubbish. For the toothbrush n paste set, for those staying for a week, we don't need so many toothbrush but the paste more. But had to take 2-3 sets which is not environmental friendly due to the toothbrushes that come together.

The location was just okay.  We had a stroller and 2 big luggage’s that we had to haul for some distance just to find a station with elevators.  Kodenmacho station (Hibiya line) was right next to it but there are only stairs there which was not ideal for us. The stations with elevators are Shin Nihonbashi and Ningyocho stations which are 10 minutes by walk so keep this in mind when booking.  

The amenities were fantastic though.  You can get the almost onsen experience here.  There is a small indoor and outdoor bath for both men and women’s side with children’s bath amenities on the 11th floor.  There is free Ice cream, coin vending machine, manga corner with massage chairs all on the 11th floor outside the bath entrance. Check out the children’s amenities bag in the lobby 1st floor as well if you have children.

On the 2nd floor is the cafeteria where you can find breakfast.  The breakfast has a good spread and varieties most of which are Japanese food.  There is a soda and coffee station as well.  Late night free ramen is served here which was not bad to try once.

Though I was not fond of the less than ideal location for finding a station with elevators, the bath experience far outweighed the small gripe I had.  Overall, a wonderful experience.

The room wasn't big, but it was clean and tidy. My mom wasn't feeling well, and they still let us have a late check-out, which was really nice of them. It's super close to Kasuga Station, and there are tons of places to eat nearby. I'd definitely stay there again!

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to both the train and subway stations. We were traveling to Narita Airport, and after taking the Airport Express to Asakusa Station, it was only about a 5-minute walk to the hotel. From our room, we could even see the Skytree, which was beautiful both in the morning and at night. It's very suitable for family trips, especially with kids, as they offer free yogurt in the mornings and free ramen and ice cream in the evenings, which the children loved. The only minor issue is that the facilities are a bit old; the faucet needs to be turned off very tightly, otherwise it keeps dripping. This was my first time staying in a tatami room, which was a novel experience. Most of the staff primarily spoke Japanese, with limited English, but both sides made a great effort, and basic communication was fine.

Booked this for the convenience and that it was available last minute but would say it’s a bit pricey for what you get. Room is very small but we made it work with 2 big luggages. Washroom was spacious though 😂 The best part about the hotel was the onsen/ public bath which was super comfortable and relaxing (hot bath, cold plunge, sauna, showering stations) and you get free popisicles and yakult depending on what time you go. Free ramen on the first floor from 9:30-11pm too. Service was okay. Location was prime and walkable but a bit of a walk to any station. They do have scooter and e-bike rentals out front with the LUUP app. You can hear the train nearby but didn’t really bother us overnight.

Walking distance to train station. Area is quiet. Convenience store are a few minutes walking distance.

Their public bath is nice 
But the room looks a little old, also needs more attention to details for cleaning

This Dormy Inn is by far the best one we've stayed at in Japan! The room felt slightly larger than the standard Dormy Inn basic room types, and the highlight was definitely the multiple outdoor onsen baths available (usually there's just one). It was fantastic to try out all the different ones in rotation. The service was also excellent. The only downside is the location, which is a bit out of the way, situated between Sendai city center and Matsushima Coast (a 25-minute walk from JR Nakano-sakae Station, or a 5-minute taxi ride costing around 1000 JPY). Other than that, there are no flaws, and the Ctrip group purchase price was an absolute steal. Plus, the Kirin Beer Factory is right next door, so if you have time, you can book a tour.

The hotel is clean and tidy. It’s unfortunate that the weather is really bad on the day of my arrival. So I’m basically forced to stay at the hotel and enjoy the hot spring. It’s also really great that they provide free ice pop outside the hot spring and coffee downstairs.

Free soba and hot onsen on night really appetizing during winter. Full facilities such as laundry, free ice cream, and enjoy comic lounge. Breakfast like a local. Surely would come again in the next trip⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The room has a black wall pillar that was disturbing when sleeping. Felt as if something is looking at you while sleeping. Felt a bit eerie. 

Other than that, you have to go to their sister hotel for the public bathroom. On top of that, it mentioned it had carpark but it did not mention that it cannot take a kei car. Ended up i have to park at a public carpark station which is very expensive.

The most important thing to note is that you can hear the train tracks nearby from the hotel. The soundproofing for conversations in the hallway or noisy children is also not great, so if you're sensitive to noise, you might want to reconsider. Breakfast maintains a high standard, with both the seafood rice and okonomiyaki being delicious. They even add oranges to the hot spring in the morning.

Natural Hot Spring Asagiri-no-Yu Dormy Inn Premium Namba Annex Stay: A Perfect Blend of Convenience and Japanese Hospitality

My stay at Dormy Inn Premium Namba Annex was a delightful surprise. Nestled in the bustling Namba district, I discovered a hidden gem offering an immersive natural hot spring experience—a true 'small but certain happiness.'

**Location is the biggest highlight:** The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Namba Station, surrounded by pharmacies, izakayas, and department stores. It's incredibly convenient for returning after an evening of shopping, making it a godsend for travelers looking to explore Osaka extensively.

**Hot spring experience exceeded expectations:** 'Asagiri-no-Yu' is the hotel's centerpiece. While not huge, the natural hot spring water felt wonderful, leaving my skin smooth. There are indoor and outdoor baths, with simple greenery adorning the outdoor area. Soaking in the hot spring while enjoying the evening breeze instantly melted away the day's fatigue. Do note that the public hot springs have separate male and female hours, so remember to check the schedule upon check-in.

**Room design is practical and thoughtful:** We chose a Japanese-Western style room. It wasn't exceptionally spacious, but the storage was excellent, allowing us to fully open our luggage without feeling cramped. The yukata (Japanese robes) were of good quality and added to the ambiance for photos. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and toiletries were comprehensive—even the comb had a massage function. These small details showed genuine care.

**Service was efficient and warm:** The front desk staff spoke fluent English, and check-in was swift. They proactively informed us about hot spring hours and recommended local eateries. Every day, staff greeted us with smiles when we left and helped with our luggage upon return. Their politeness was just right—not overly enthusiastic, but comfortably warm.

**Minor drawbacks:** The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, primarily Japanese set meals, and the taste was decent but not outstanding. If you visit during peak season, you might have a short wait for an available spot in the hot spring.

Overall, this hotel perfectly balances 'convenience' and a 'Japanese hot spring experience.' It's especially well-suited for tourists who want to explore Osaka's city center, dine, and still enjoy a hot spring. The value for money is excellent, and I'll very likely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Osaka.

Dormy Inn is always a top choice for us when we travel to Japan. Practically every time we visit, we first check the location and prices of Dormy Inn hotels. We've stayed at this specific hotel and its chain many times. The hotel offers smoking rooms, microwaves, ice machines, a laundry room, and natural hot springs. On the first floor, there's a beverage bar where you can help yourself to coffee, matcha, and chocolate drinks. Toiletries like toothbrushes, toothpaste, and combs are also readily available. You can pack light when traveling here; the hotel truly takes care of guests' needs very well. The complimentary soy sauce ramen served from 9:30 PM to 11 PM is also quite tasty; they don't skimp on quality just because it's free, it's consistently good. We'll definitely prioritize staying at this hotel again on our future trips to Japan.

## Pros:
Conveniently located near Osaka Metro's Kitahama Station🚇, just two stops from the Umeda shopping district, and not far from Shinsaibashi. While there aren't many restaurants directly around the hotel, it's primarily surrounded by office buildings and financial institutions, adjacent to the Osaka Stock Exchange.

## Cons:
Some staff members were very professional, such as a young gentleman who spoke Chinese. However, some staff had an indifferent attitude, like a middle-aged woman in the restaurant. A few individual employees displayed poor service, lacked a service-oriented mindset, and provided a very unsatisfactory experience – for instance, a young, slender Japanese female employee with her hair in a bun. I hope not to be served by her again.

## Facilities:
① The windows can be opened to a certain degree, which is very useful for regularly ventilating the room and preventing a musty smell. ② The room is small, but the layout is cleverly designed and generally quite functional. However, the shower area is too cramped, making it difficult to turn around, which negatively impacts the user experience.

## Suggestions:
It would be great if the breakfast variety could be rotated every 1-2 days, and if the entry cutoff time could be adjusted to 09:30.
