Chiayi City Hotels with Breakfast

The room is cozy and clean. The only downside was the toilet seat is without heat warmer and bidet. But the location was great as it is walking distance to the night market and also 10mins walking distance to the hinoki village. The hotel offers cab service go bring us up to Alishan mountain and the driver was very on time. They even gave us free vouchers to claim for snacks and coffee/tea/alcohol at the bar area at lobby to chill.

The service attitude was excellent; they were very proactive in helping with everything. Parking was a bit tricky right at the hotel entrance, so we had to use their partner parking lot, which wasn't too far. The hotel itself is pretty standard, not luxurious, and the facilities are a bit dated, but it was still clean and tidy. Unfortunately, the soundproofing between floors wasn't great. Kids running and jumping upstairs sounded like an earthquake all night, and we could also hear noise from the neighboring rooms. The breakfast was a buffet with limited options, pretty much standard fare, but they did have some local specialties like chicken rice and Danzai noodles. Overall, for the price, it was decent value for money, especially if you can overlook the noise issues I mentioned.

Having to enter a password even before getting on the elevator in the basement is annoying. The beds in the dorm room and the women's bathroom are more spacious than typical hostels, which is great. There's a locker with a combination lock under the bed. Check-out is also done via a self-service machine (I was lucky that day, a staff member helped me with it). The 6th floor has laundry facilities, including laundry pods, one washing machine, and one dryer, plus tons of hangers. The drying area is very large. The accommodation is right on the corner, noticeable and easy to find. In room 201, you can hear the water running in the outside restroom. The 5th-floor common room is small but feels very homey. It offers tea bags, candies, and even a balcony and a piano. The luggage rack in the basement is a bit small. After entering, you check in using the self-service machine. You can enter your name instead of a long booking number, which is convenient. Before going upstairs, you need to change into slippers. The slippers are already in lockers, marked with the designated bed number, which is thoughtful. The elevator is fragrant, large, and clean. Earplugs and toothbrushes can be purchased on the 2nd floor. There are water dispensers on the ground floor and the 5th floor. Visitors are not allowed upstairs (including the 5F common room). If needed, please use the shared space on B1. * The main entrance, elevators (only on the ground floor), restrooms, and female dorm rooms all require a password for entry and require wearing indoor slippers. * All guests staying in any room type must register. * Only body wash, shampoo, and hairdryers are provided. If you need towels or other amenities, please rent/purchase them at the self-service counter outside the 5th-floor common room. * Restroom and common room cleaning times: 11 AM - 3 PM. During peak times, please use the restrooms on the 5th floor. * No parking service is provided. There are large paid parking lots nearby, within a 3-10 minute walk. Street parking is free from 10 PM to 8 AM the next morning. * Outside of front desk service hours (9 PM - 9 AM), there's no staff to assist with private lockers. If you forget your combination or your lock gets stuck, no unlocking service is provided.

Considering this place a 4 star isn't really a match with 4 star average. I got kinda disappointed by the customer service. Early check in and late check out was basically not possible. They wanted to charge me 700 ntd for 1 hour of late check out, is it a joke? At check in (1.30h before regular check in time) the front desk agent asked me if that room was okay for me, since she asked I kindly asked if it would be possible to have a room on a higher floor instead, she mentioned that the housekeeping didn't finish the cleaning on other floors but she added that they have prepared this room in advance for me since it was ready. I agree on getting that room since I was in a rush, after check in formalities have been concluded she tells me that the room isn't ready yet, she asked me to step on the side for a few minutes, then had to wait 42 minutes before she called me again giving me the keys. I was shocked. Definitely won't be going back here.

This stay was absolutely amazing! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the friendly service made me feel right at home. The room was spacious and bright, the bed was perfectly comfortable allowing for a full night's sleep, and the spotless bathroom truly showed attention to detail. The best part was the fantastic view from the window, offering a peaceful escape despite being in a lively area. Both the soft and hard amenities were impeccable. This will definitely be my first choice for future vacations!

It was my first time staying here. The room and toilet were big and clean. But the soundproofing seems to be poor. If someone is talking in the corridor (maybe a nearby neighbor), they can hear it in the room. 😂

Very near to train station and walking distance to night market. They also provide bicycle for rent. I requested for 1hr extension as I had gout attack and till medication in the morning. I needed extra time for the medicine to take effect before I can walk properly. Thank you for the exception offered. Really appreciate it. Breakfast is good too just that I had no appetite that morning due to gout.

The hotel was about 800 meters from the train station. It was close to the night market. Hinoki Village was a little longer walk but still close to the hotel. Since the train / bus station was close, it was easy to get transportation to Alishan National Forest. The rooms were large. The bath had an enclosed shower stall. Sink was in the bedroom area. A kettle, refrigerator and hair dryer are in the room. Liquid hand soap at the sink (which you do not see often in Taiwan). That was much appreciated! Free hot/cold/warm water dispenser in the lobby. The front desk is very helpful. They have a large capacity washer and dryer on the 5th floor (50 TWD per washer load). Floors are secured by elevator room card keys.

The hotel offers a convenient parking lot with unlimited in-and-out access, which I found fantastic. It's really handy for travelers driving to Chiayi, as you don't have to constantly search for parking. The accommodation price is also very reasonable. I'll definitely stay here again next time.

Satisfactory 2-night stay that they also provide complimentary breakfast . Clean and decent space. We are happy and would use it again if the price is affordable. Recommended 👍
