This hotel is really close to Wenhua Night Market, just a 3-minute walk away. They also offer convenient parking. The room size was quite spacious for two adults and one child. It was very clean with no musty smell. The bed was a little on the soft side. There's a water dispenser right outside the room, which was super convenient for making formula for our child. We'll definitely choose this place again next time we visit Wenhua Night Market!

The room was spacious and the front desk service was excellent. However, complimentary bottled water isn't provided, and disposable toiletries are only given upon request, which is a bit different from what's common in mainland China.
The 3rd floor has a communal lounge and a laundry room, and it seemed quite lively with many people chatting. However, after a long day of sightseeing, I was too tired to socialize.
The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, being extremely close to the high-speed rail station, bus station, and night market!
The ********* people are incredibly friendly! My boyfriend almost lost his phone at the night market, but a snack stall owner helped keep it safe for him. We're truly grateful for their kindness!

The service attitude was excellent; they were very proactive in helping with everything. Parking was a bit tricky right at the hotel entrance, so we had to use their partner parking lot, which wasn't too far. The hotel itself is pretty standard, not luxurious, and the facilities are a bit dated, but it was still clean and tidy. Unfortunately, the soundproofing between floors wasn't great. Kids running and jumping upstairs sounded like an earthquake all night, and we could also hear noise from the neighboring rooms. The breakfast was a buffet with limited options, pretty much standard fare, but they did have some local specialties like chicken rice and Danzai noodles. Overall, for the price, it was decent value for money, especially if you can overlook the noise issues I mentioned.

This place is incredibly quiet, perfect for those who need a peaceful environment for contemplation at night. It's right by Lantan Lake, so you can even drive around and explore if you have some free time. Getting to the Cultural Night Market in the city center takes about 10-15 minutes.

Lovely modern and clean hotel in Chiayi. We stopped by on the way to Alishan and they have plenty of parking. The room is very large and cozy.

The room is comfortable, the high floor has a beautiful view, and the balcony overlooks the plain. It is adjacent to Nice Department Store. The restaurant in the department store is good, and there are restaurants of similar quality in Japan.

Overall, my stay at the hotel was comfortable and pleasant. The welcome afternoon tea, cold brew tea, snacks and coffee/tea bags in the room, and the piping hot breakfast noodles, along with the warm and friendly service from the restaurant staff, all showcased the management team's dedication – truly commendable!
After a two-day stay, I also have a few suggestions for improvement:
1. The soundproofing in the rooms is just average. Guests can easily disturb each other with slightly louder noises.
2. The front desk staff seemed overly focused on hotel rules and restrictions, lacking service flexibility. The most frequent phrases I heard were ”This isn't allowed” and ”Company policy.” The staff also rarely smiled, often responding with stiff and rigid attitudes, lacking the warmth, friendliness, and flexibility that defines good service.

HKTasterThis hotel's biggest selling point is definitely its location: it's right behind Chiayi Train Station, about a 3–5 minute walk away. For anyone needing to catch an early train or get an early start, it's incredibly convenient – I'd give the location full marks.
There was a slight hiccup on check-in day: the front desk was initially unattended, and we waited about 15 minutes before someone appeared to help us. I hope the hotel can improve this (e.g., by ensuring staff are present or providing clear contact information).
The room's cleanliness was pretty good; the carpet showed no obvious stains, and overall it was comfortable. However, one downside was the lack of a table or surface in the room to put things, especially when bringing back food from the night market. It was a bit tricky figuring out where to put it or how to eat, which detracts from the practicality.
On the other hand, the breakfast was a pleasant surprise: I particularly loved their pork floss, which was genuinely softer and crispier than what you usually find at breakfast buffets – excellent with plain congee. The braised pork rice (luroufan) is also worth mentioning; the braised pork had a good fat-to-lean ratio, making it fragrant and delicious with the rice. However, I do have a suggestion: the tofu pudding/dessert area should ideally have a cover or protection. I noticed mosquitoes flying into it, and the tofu pudding itself had a slightly sour taste, not feeling very fresh. I hope this area can be improved.
In summary: if your priority is convenient transportation and needing to catch trains, this hotel is very suitable. But if you value an in-room desk/dining space, you might need to adjust your expectations.

The hotel was within walking distance from Chiayi train station, though the walk wasn't the smoothest, causing my luggage to bump quite a bit. It was easy to find, being a white building directly visible from the street. The room was very spacious, and the bed was large, comfortable, and clean. However, the window was a floor-to-ceiling type that opened diagonally and had an opaque white film, which made me wonder about privacy, despite its intention. It was early March and quite cold. Even with the air conditioning off, it was still chilly, so I imagine it would be even colder in the middle of winter. The reception staff weren't unfriendly, but most didn't smile, except for one person. English communication over the phone was difficult, but there were no issues communicating in person using a translator. I just think the staff uniforms could be updated with a more modern design. Hot water in the bathroom took a while to come on, but the drainage was good, so it wasn't a major inconvenience. The breakfast restaurant served what seemed like ********* home-style food; it was clean, and the staff constantly checked to ensure there was enough food. I'd give the cleanliness full marks.

Petite Grass
Humid environment
The wallpaper on the wall is a bit loose
The floor in front of the toilet is also a bit fluffy
But the bed is quite comfortable to sleep on
The soundproofing is not very good, and the sound from the corridor can be heard
The doorbell rang when I was lying down in the morning
The breakfast is so-so, but edible
The counter is also quite polite
