"I practically stay at this hotel every month for business trips to Luodong. They have a partnered parking lot, and there's also a paid parking lot right across the street that charges NT$120 for 12 hours. The hotel rooms are very clean and tidy. The breakfast, however, is a bit average."

BBeautiful day to travelWe had a wonderful stay at Wunuan Homestay in Jiaoxi. The location is very convenient, especially if you're driving. It is just a few minutes from the highway exit—simply turn right after exiting, and you'll reach the homestay within minutes.
The surroundings are peaceful, scenic, and a refreshing escape from the city. One of the highlights was the river right in front of the property. True to the previous reviews, you can fish there, and it was a memorable experience for our family. We enjoyed spending time outdoors and soaking in the tranquil atmosphere.
Driving made it easy to explore the surrounding area. There are many beaches, farms, and family-friendly attractions nearby, although having a car is definitely recommended. The roads were quiet with very little traffic, and we loved the wide open fields, greenery, and the absence of high-rise buildings. It was the perfect place to slow down, relax, and enjoy nature.
The owner was exceptionally friendly and helpful. He recommended excellent local food, suggested places to visit, and even assisted us with making reservations, which made our trip much smoother.
The homestay itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped for families. Our room comfortably accommodated our family of three, including our teenage son, and we had plenty of space to relax after a day of sightseeing.
One small point to note is that the bathroom floor can become quite slippery when wet, so extra care is needed, especially for children and older guests.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily recommend Wunuan Homestay to anyone looking for a peaceful countryside retreat while exploring Jiaoxi and Yilan. In

GGuest UserExcellent daily healthy breakfast with a wide range of varieties for all in the family to enjoy, and using local fresh ingredients making the start of day something to look forward to! Near food eateries and stores for some local souvenir shopping, convenience stores, and walking distance to train station! We also enjoyed the daily evening complimentary snacks and drinks services including their special tea cocktail. Best of all was their impeccable service. We left our shopping behind after we left the hotel for Taipei, and they kindly arranged for courier to send the items over, wrapped the breakable item nicely with bubble wrap. They also helped us plan for a wonderful and memorable birthday with locally sourced cake and flowers. Everything they did was done with care and love, even for something as simple as making up beds, that they also tucked in the kids' soft toys in cutely. The kids now want to go back to Yilan just for the hotel stay! Definitely the best hotel experience we have had as a family!

VVNFYu Peng Villa was our first and BEST accommodation on this Yilan-Taroko-SML-Alishan road trip. We arrived much later than expected and were relieved that our message to Trip.com got through to the guesthouse. When we drove up to the place (an easy find with GPS), a member of the staff walked up to our car and guided us to the drop off point.
I love the designer vibes of the property which is well maintained with a sizeable garden and plenty of flowers in bloom. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The showers worked and there was hot water. The western-style breakfast was generous in portion and delicious.
Best of all was the hospitality extended to us. It was the only place where we felt truly welcomed on this 8-day trip. The staff here chatted with us, gave advice on places of interest and sent us off with fruit from the orchard. After the great experience here, all the other places we stayed at pale drastically in comparison.
If you're planning to visit the Kavalan Distillery, this place is a great stayover option! Truly a slice of paradise.

Cchi shiaWe originally stayed at Just Sleep Jiaoxi with a tour group, and later booked an additional room through the platform. It turned out to be an excellent decision! Compared to the fast pace of the group tour, extending our stay at Just Sleep was incredibly relaxing and comfortable.
I must commend the current service team at the hotel; they are truly outstanding and provide excellent service quality. A big thank you to General Manager Vera Yang for her professionalism, thoughtfulness, and meticulous care. Gina at the front desk always greeted us with a radiant and friendly smile, offering wonderful service. Tony was highly efficient in his assistance, and Cathy in reservations showed great emotional intelligence in understanding and helping us.
The hotel's location is perfect. Although it's within the scenic area, the surroundings are incredibly peaceful, with lush greenery and a gentle stream – perfect for a leisurely stroll. The breakfast ingredients were clearly carefully selected for their high quality and delicious taste.
The hot spring tub in the room is very spacious, complemented by large glass windows, allowing you to enjoy the green trees and distant mountains while soaking – truly relaxing. The lobby offers complimentary coffee, tea, and snacks. Sipping coffee while gazing at the green vegetation outside truly felt blissful.
This hotel is truly a highlight of our trip; Just Sleep is fantastic! We look forward to staying here again!

Wweiwen82Very pleasant experience stay. The customer service was excellent, from the time we walk in with the staff open the door for us to the time we check out. The front desk staff Louis was very helpful and polite. Amenities in the room, hot spring to the spa are provided everything we needed including the dryer for the swimsuit. Private hot springs tub was Great for us who walk all day long and want to have late night hot springs experience.
The hotel welcome with afternoons delivered to room.

SSIXANAThe surrounding countryside is beautiful. The room has small children's play equipment, which the kids loved and didn't want to leave. There are bicycles available for rent at the door, but unfortunately, it was so hot, so everyone enjoyed the view from the balcony! Hahaha. The bathtub in the bathroom is huge, but it's a shame we didn't use it because we finished it. It will definitely be great to soak in it when we come back in the winter! I really like this place! It was a great reason to go to Luodong Night Market for dinner in the evening!

蛋蛋蛋的小姨The location is excellent. Anping Road is the second street off Luodong Station, turn left, and you'll see the hotel after the first small alley.
Regarding service, the room robot was very polite, calling to inform me it was ready to deliver items and asking me to open the door. It also called ten minutes before check-out to remind me of the time. The restaurant staff's service attitude was better than that of the second-floor game counter staff, but the enthusiasm of the younger staff was consistent. The service attitude of the front desk staff during check-in was average.
For dining, although the official check-in time is 4 PM, I arrived early, and the reception staff already had my room card ready for immediate check-in. If you don't want to check in early, there's afternoon tea available in the ground-floor restaurant. You need to book your breakfast time slot at reception for the next day, limited to one hour. Since I chose the least crowded time (7 AM-8 AM), I finished my meal in less than 40 minutes and, with the restaurant staff's permission, took a few bottles of drinks back to my room.
In terms of facilities, the second floor can cater to young children with a wide variety of remote-control cars. The third floor should have facilities to keep older kids entertained.
Regarding cleanliness, the restaurant dining area, the second-floor game area, and the public women's restroom were good. However, the bathroom hygiene in the guest room needs improvement. There was a lotion bottle with only about 1/10 left, presumably used by someone else, next to the hand soap. There was only one roll of toilet paper with no spare. The sink had standing water with floating debris and hair. The showerhead's water pressure was insufficient, and once turned on, it would drip for a very long time after being turned off. The hot water for the bath the next morning wasn't hot. There was no laundry bag provided, which I've found in all hotels and even luxury hotels in Taipei and Taoyuan. After inquiring at the front desk, I was told they had regular plastic bags that the robot could deliver to my door. The soundproofing, I felt, was good. Setting the air conditioning to 20.9°C was cold enough, but upon entering the room, with the AC set to 25°C, there was a musty smell.

YYeungeLuggage holding available. The hotel layout is not the most senior/family friendly due to having stairs leading up to the room. However room is spacious and bed is comfortable & clean. Lots of different channels to watch on the the tv. Shower area wise there was one night with a 5min wait for hot water. Having no full curtain or partition separating the bath area & toilet, expect the floor to be wet after shower. Breakfast is provided, you Indicate your meal option on the day of check in. The food area staff were very polite and helpful. Overall a really good place for couples!

AAnonymous UserFirst of all, this is a very old hotel that has seen truly better days. While maintained well, it has retained it's original furnishings and decor from the 1980s and 1990s. Staying here reminded me of my childhood travelling with my family in the 80s. The actual room does not look anything like the ones shown on the website. The hard floors mean you should wear their slippers or bring your own room slippers. The hot spring water advertised is just hot spring water pipes that go into your bathtub. There is a step that emulates hot spa step in the bathtub.
The breakfast was good with nice braised meat and eggs that you can put over your rice or porridge. There's also hot soy milk. But no hot tea, only coffee. The staff look tired but hard working.
There was a grumpy older lady receiptionist when we checked in and she was pretty rough in the check in process. E.g. ”if you don't put a number here, and you leave things in the hotel, we'll just throw them away! Just to tell you first.”
Room was quite small or cosy, depending on your perspective. The only thing new was the air-conditioner. The TV set had all the settings for channels but none worked. Internet wifi was not quite working too.
