Excellent
DdyhxConvenient location in Luodong city centre, walking distance to Luodong Night Market, Luodong Forestry Cultural Park with a supermarket and convenience stores nearby too. The hotel is on level 6 within a building with a few other accommodation chains and offices. There's a car park just opposite the building. I love the decor here, from the clean, sleek interior at reception to the rooms. There are instant coffee and tea bags, and hot/cold filtered water on tap available at the common area just in front of the reception that is open to all guests. They have just 18 rooms here, in varying room types, sizes and interior design but they all look great! I love the use of positive messages on coloured backgrounds for the doors. I had a corner room which was spacious and clean. Bed and pillow were a little softer than I would like but that's just personal preference. Basic amenities are provided and I love the open wardrobe concept too.
The staff here are amazing. So helpful, so friendly. I'm particularly impressed by the location map they've put together to share with guests on recommended food to try in the vicinity and mostly on point! For this price, it's super value for money.

TTango GinaI was impressed by breakfast, no processed food, some are the most primitive and prototype food, roasted sweet potato roast pumpkin, pumpkin soup, carrot kiss fish porridge, scallion pancake roast chicken, boiled eggs, up to four kinds of fruit, plus milk tea orange juice and coffee series.
Regardless of the building, garden planning, room layout and restaurant furnishings, they are all European style, and the environment is very clean. I saw the service staff finishing the garden and facilities for two days and one night.
It was my first time to take my cat out and I felt good.
HHank ChuangGreat hotel. I highly recommend everyone to stay when visiting Yilan. The environment is quiet, the housekeeper service is great, the hotel dog is super cute, the breakfast is delicious, a good place to relax, and a great place to stay.
KKoJustinIn my estimation this is the best hotel in Jiaoxi, and perhaps in yilan (if we are considering facilities). First, it is just a few minutes walk from Jiaoxi train station, as well as some of the public hot springs around Jiaoxi, so very convenient. There are also a few restaurants nearby at various price ranges. Second, the room is pretty nice, they have a personal hot spring that you can relax in while partially being outdoors. Third, the hotel includes not just the facilites at Wellspring but also at nearby Just Sleep, which includes an indoor onsen, if that is more your style. Just Sleep also has a gym (Wellspring does not). They also offer some drinks and snacks at both hotels. During ”happy Hour” at Wellspring, they offer wine and some more variety of snacks, which I appreciated. But the main ”perk” of the Wellspring is the rooftop pool. There are actually two pools, so they offer a nearly 360 degree view of the surroundings, and on a clear day you can even see Guishan Island in the distance. Though the view isn't as good as, say, the view of the Taipei 101, it's still quite nice. And it's not like there are a lot of rooftop pools in other parts of Taiwan. And there is both a cold pool and a hot pool (hot spring). Finally, I think the buffet breakfast is pretty good quality, one of the better ones I have had in Taiwan for sure. They have a variety of hot food and cooked food. Overall though its a tad expensive, for a five star in Taiwan its probably cheap.

Very Good
WWangAlthough the hotel isn't right in the city center and is a bit of a distance from the train station, it's wonderfully quiet. The hotel itself is new and clean, and the rooms feature smart controls for lighting, curtains, and more. While the swimming pool isn't large, the water is spotlessly clean, and it's evident that daily maintenance is well-handled. The staff members were all very friendly and helpful; we even received a text message reminder the day before check-in. The complimentary afternoon tea snacks and the 7 PM tofu pudding service in the evening were both very thoughtful touches. The breakfast selection and quality were excellent, truly delicious, and the coffee was good too. All beverages in the mini-fridge were complimentary, and the small cookies were tasty 😋. The room size was just right, the bed was comfortable, and having a hot spring bath on the balcony with good ventilation and an open view made for a truly comfortable stay.

Good
GGuest UserJust Sleep Jiaoxi is exactly as what the premise name suggested, just sleep. Checking in was smooth as front counter staffs are very efficient. On one evening, it was raining heavily and the front desk offered an umbrella. I returned it by sticking the umbrella in the umbrella holder outside and inform the front desk, just simple and efficient. I took a room with an ensuite bathtub which was surprisingly more than adequate to provide a good soak and shower while in the room. Bed size literally is very small. The toilet and face basin is tucked away in another small ensuite next to the room. There is literally zero storage but for those very light traveller then it should be adequate for small luggage and some hangers to hang coats and scarfs. The room comes with tea and coffee bags which is surprisingly tasty. My room comes with breakfast which is served starting at 7am. I must've been staying during peak hours because on the first day, I decided to head out for breakfast at 9am — and the queue was massive. I had to wait to be seated, with many other guests. The staff was very efficient in clearing tables and assigning tables to waiting guests. The food and drinks spread is adequate, more than adequate. I had good breakfast before venturing out. Thank you Just Sleep Jiaoxi.

GGuest UserAll kinds of feelings are good
The most important thing is that the service staff are very kind.
If I have the chance to visit Yilan again, I will want to stay there again.

HHsiao 1996I think if the bathhouse is outdoors, the towel rack could be moved indoors.
Because there are geckos on it when I use it. I'm not afraid, but my girlfriend is.
It's okay, but if other guests see it, they'll definitely complain a lot, because having it outside will inevitably attract some attention.
Just a small suggestion.

AAnonymous UserFirst of all, this is a very old hotel that has seen truly better days. While maintained well, it has retained it's original furnishings and decor from the 1980s and 1990s. Staying here reminded me of my childhood travelling with my family in the 80s. The actual room does not look anything like the ones shown on the website. The hard floors mean you should wear their slippers or bring your own room slippers. The hot spring water advertised is just hot spring water pipes that go into your bathtub. There is a step that emulates hot spa step in the bathtub.
The breakfast was good with nice braised meat and eggs that you can put over your rice or porridge. There's also hot soy milk. But no hot tea, only coffee. The staff look tired but hard working.
There was a grumpy older lady receiptionist when we checked in and she was pretty rough in the check in process. E.g. ”if you don't put a number here, and you leave things in the hotel, we'll just throw them away! Just to tell you first.”
Room was quite small or cosy, depending on your perspective. The only thing new was the air-conditioner. The TV set had all the settings for channels but none worked. Internet wifi was not quite working too.
