GGuest UserWe recently returned from a five-night holiday in Bintan and stayed at your hotel for the last three nights (nights 3, 4, and 5). While we were happy to secure a room for those dates, we encountered two issues during our stay that we feel should be brought to your attention— in the hope that they can be improved for future guests. 1. Room Consistency & Communication Due to high demand, the same room type we booked for nights 3 and 4 was no longer available for night 5. As a result, we had to book a different room type for the final night, all paid in advance. When we checked in, we explained to the front desk staff that we would prefer to stay in the same room for all three nights, and we were willing to pay any price difference if necessary. The staff member said they would check and get back to us—but we never heard anything further. Admittedly, we also forgot to follow up. However, we assumed that no news meant we could remain in the same room. The next day at noon, we received a sudden call requesting us to check out immediately, which completely disrupted our day’s plans and led to a rushed and stressful move. We even left some personal items behind in the process. In the future, we would greatly appreciate clearer follow-up from hotel staff—whether or not a room change is possible, please confirm with guests either way rather than leaving the matter unresolved. 2. Villa Room Maintenance On the last night, we moved to a villa. Unfortunately, during our shower we discovered that the drainage system was severely clogged. Water from the shower area didn’t drain properly, and water even backed up from under the sink and around the toilet. This was not only inconvenient, but honestly quite unpleasant. While your staff did eventually help us resolve the issue, it significantly affected our overall experience and left a negative final impression. We chose your hotel with high expectations and understand that busy periods can lead to service challenges. But with a bit more proactive communication and better room maintenance, we believe the guest experience can be much improved. Thank you for taking the time to read our feedback.

11580103****Returning to Bintan Island after more than two decades, I never expected such a wonderful experience. The hotel is brand new, located right next to the recently opened Holiday Inn. Guests have full access to the facilities of both hotels, including the Holiday Inn's Kids' Club – which was incredibly convenient for us, allowing us to confidently leave our children with the staff for a few hours. The hotel boasts its own private beach, offering a quiet and relaxing environment. Honestly, there's no need to fly all the way to Bali; Bintan Island offers a perfect short getaway. While the island's town doesn't have much to explore, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel. The room design was very tasteful and spacious, complete with a sea view. There was absolutely no noise pollution. All the staff were incredibly friendly; no matter where you went, their smiles and greetings made you feel warmly welcomed. Overall, this stay far exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend it to families or couples looking for a relaxing getaway.

GGuest UserWe booked 4 rainforest sea view villas from Singapore. The rooms are in the traditional Balinese villa resort style. They are spacious, beautiful, clean, and equipped with complete toiletries. There are also two pairs of Japanese slippers for showering or going to the beach, and two pairs of cloth shoes for wearing in the room. The hygiene is good, and they clean twice a day. There are three-hole British sockets on both sides of the long table in the room, and there is no need for Indonesian plugs at all, which is very convenient to use. The balcony also has a large jacuzzi.The room is very quiet, and you can hear birds singing in the early morning. All the staff can speak English, and they are all very kind and polite, and their service attitude are also great. The breakfast is also good, and there are many food choices. Whether you go to eat or go back to the room, you can call the hotel's free buggy. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. We will continue to stay in the same BanyanTree when I come to Bintan Island again.

AArielle LiuI love the resort, the staffs, the breakfast and everything. We actually booked with other family friends for SG National Day getaway, but our kids were sick so we had to cancel our trip. We are glad that we booked again and our entire stay was marvellous, definitely recommend staying there. The tent rooms are spacious and the outdoor shower room was a whole new experience for us(It was really fun for my kids). The resort pool was super photogenic, we took quite some pictures there. I have to say a big thank you to the breakfast team, Ms Nazwan, Ms Naiya, Nelu and Ms Devi!!! They were amazing at entertaining kids especially Ms Devi and team surprised my toddler with a birthday cake(that’s why we had this impromptu trip to Bintan). Another thank you for Mr Ham who’s in charge of the kids entertainment. My elder girl had the chance to play (sry I forgot the instrument name) the music instrument, and Mr Ham was patiently guiding my girl how to play, she nailed it on the spot. (Proud mama🤭) after talking to Mr Ham, I’m very impressed with his thoughts to extend the kids entertainment activities in the resort, so that parents can get off ours hands for some personal relaxed time. Kudos to the staffs in Natra Bintan resort. Looking forward to our next stay here.

GGuest UserTo the management and staff of Doulos Phos The Ship Hotel. My husband and I were attracted to Doulos Phos The Ship Hotel for to its rich and unique history, the conversion of a cruise ship to become a hotel! From email communication to the end of stay, it was a great experience. We wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary, the hotel offered a package of decoration with a slice of cake at a certain price but we told them that we can do without it but we were pleasantly and happily surprised when we entered the room, the bed was nicely decorated for our wedding anniversary then a knock at the door with the delivery of the anniversary cake and a personalised card anniversary card! Another pleasant surprise was the ship specially organised a Heritage Ship Tour for us at a timing on 24/10/25 that we can make it. We were so happy with the heritage tour as we very much wanted to know more about the history of the ship, to visit the engine room etc...Tuti, our lady Heritage Tour Guide was friendly, knowledgeable and quick into action when we needed some information about the rooms and hall ( in case we may want to book in the future) Another thumbs up for the hotel. Overall, the staff was polite, smiling always, eager to serve. We will recommend this unique ship hotel, something different from other hotels and the great service!

GGuest UserThe resort arranged free shuttle for pick up from Bintan Ferry Terminal for a nearly 80 minutes drive with bottled waters and cookies served. Quite thoughtful! We stayed at two Garden terrace inter-connected rooms with a family of four. The rooms were quite spacious and well maintained. The resort provides 2 bicycles per room for mobility within the resort, which is a well landscaped expanse. Thoroughly enjoyed our bicycle rides. We also used the buggy rides for getting around the resort, which was quicker and more easier. The staff were courteous and warm. Few to name are 1. Kiki from the Earth Basket who engaged enthusiastically with us to show us around the fish ponds, rabbits and the various plants. 2. Kay and Ganjar from the The Dining Room (main restaurant which serves diverse cuisine) are warm and welcoming. 3. Intan from Rika Rika (Indonesian cuisine) is full of smiles and agile to serve customised order. Weather was just perfect and overall we had a pleasant, refreshing stay. Few areas the resort should focus on - the staff at The Dining Room were understaffed and found to be tired/ sweating. We found the Food variety and quality at the Christmas Eve Dinner disappointing for the price charged. The Indonesian cuisine at Rica Rica was more tastier though less in variety. We enjoyed the Stargazing, leisurely walks at the beach, bicycling, though we missed the water sports due to monsoons. Overall, we do plan to visit this resort sometime again for sure.

GGuest UserWe have found this beautiful place on our 2 days dad/son bicycle tour through Western Bintan. We loved the ample, farm type camp that is in between the hills and savannahs with the reddish coloured earth and evergreen palm trees of Bintan. The reception area is already oozing openness and friendliness, and you check in a very pleasant and welcoming world. The owner has established this is as a sustainable youth training and learning center, at the same time offering splendid and well-integrated guest activities for families, kids, and groups. We stayed in one of the clamping houses adjacent to one of the small and relaxing lakes, and my 5y son loved every inch of it. The A/C motor works in the background, the bathroom is bigger than in any of the Lagoi resorts we have been so far. The food is very deliciously mildly spicy, the coffee machine is Italian, the breakfast offers a choice of two menues which makes it easy not to choose wrong. The best part is the always friendly and supporting staff. Yanu was very supportive when engineering a kite and helped us making it fly (even outside his shift). The creative center is definitely worth a visit. As natural bicyclists, we loved the empty and small paved roads around the Camp, so we even had a wonderful time biking down to the Blue Lagoon (1hour). From the Ferry Station TM it is a 2h bicycle trip with a few stops in the road (try to avoid the heat). The Bintan Ferry takes bikes for transport, so do 6-seater cabbies in Singapore. I can strongly recommend this place for any escape plans from the big city and for all nature fans.

GGuest UserQuiet and peaceful place. Room is very spacious and clean. Bathroom is exceptionally impressive! Cosy for families, great place for short getaway. Not many activities to choose from - archery / kayaking / ATV.. But they do have 4hr / 6hr day tours. Food wise - quality is ok; not many options.. as there's one and only Legenda Cafe. We had BBQ cooked by a chef by the beach and the experience was good - Can't have such an experience in Sg 😂 Breakfast was fantastic on Sunday morning - wide spread with Nasi Lemak (very yummy esp with the spicy sambal) / Fried Noodles / Congee / Egg station / Hashbrowns / Sausages / Jamu juice / cakes and fruits etc.. But disappointing on Monday morning - spread is limited, but we can order from the menu - food only came after more than 30mins. Room for improvement on that - especially when there's limited time for breakfast, food should be served fast; if not then just stick to buffet style. Overall, service is good. Spa massage and body scrub is ok too. Will visit again!

SShiju JohnAmazing place to stay if you need to just relax and recharge in the calm. Just idle time sitting in the patio of your sea view villa and enjoy looking at the sea or walking by the beach collecting sea shells and finding baby mud crabs inside of the sea shells. It was not our first time staying at Mayang Sari or one of the other Nirwana properties. Hence, the smiling staff with their impeccable service levels is never a surprise but always a pleasure. Mayang Sari has its own restaurant, the Deli Cafe, where you can get local and western delicacies and drinks. The property has an Indian restaurant, Spice, which is a 5 minute walk from Mayang Sari, and Nirwana also has its own restaurant. They have a pick and drop shuttle from the ferry terminal, which makes it very convenient. Just a call put that this is Lagoi, so please don't expect to have malls around, and the city centre falls in the Tanjung Pinang area.
