Amazing
GGuest UserIt’s a small Onsen with few rooms but that made our stay more relaxing and comfortable. Attentive services with an eagerness to explain everything to you despite the language barrier. The outdoor private Onsen was a plus that we enjoyed very much. The downside was the aged room and toilet we got. However, this was compensated by the food that was absolutely fantastic and unsuspectly filling 😋
BBiwI stayed there with my parents. The futon were so good. Big and soft. The room also good. Location is perfect. Lawson is near by. Breakfast is everything. Bathroom amenity is the best.
** tattoos person not allow to use public onsen but they do provided private onsen (with charge) that need the book in advance.
橙橙色空間Gero Onsen is located in one of Japan's three most famous hot springs and is famous for its high-quality hot spring water and beautiful natural environment. I had a great experience staying at a traditional ryokan in Gero Onsen.
First of all, the hotel's architectural style combines traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern comfort facilities, making people feel a strong Japanese style as soon as they step in. The service staff at the hotel were very warm and friendly. They provided me with attentive service in fluent Japanese and some English, making me feel at home.
Next is the hot spring experience. The water of Gero Hot Spring is clear and rich in minerals, which has a good nourishing effect on the skin. I particularly like bathing in the open-air hot springs, especially at night. While enjoying the warm spring water and looking up at the stars, the feeling of tranquility and relaxation is indescribable.
Dinner is another highlight. The kaiseki cuisine provided by the hotel is exquisite and delicious. Each dish is a work of art. It is not only delicious in color, aroma and taste, but also has fresh ingredients, which fully demonstrates the charm of Japanese cuisine.
Overall, my stay at Gero Onsen was very good. I was deeply impressed by the hot springs, service and food. It was an unforgettable travel experience.

MMiu Yin WongWhat a satisfying trip! The duplex room had a living room on the lower level and a bedroom, bathroom, and open-air bath on the upper level, fulfilling my long-held dream of staying in a duplex. The hotel was huge, with public baths on the 2nd and 8th floors respectively. Both were large and very comfortable to soak in, but the open-air bath in the room was even more convenient and relaxing, especially in the morning while enjoying the view – a wonderful experience. The room was fully equipped. Dinner was arranged at the Western restaurant, and my husband said the sound system there was incredibly expensive. Breakfast was a buffet, mainly Japanese-style, which didn't quite suit our tastes.
Ssjf1986aaaIt is a sister hotel with Fugaku next door. Before we even got to the door, the old man of the hotel came over to confirm whether we were staying. The names of the people matched. When we left, the old man was waiting for us at the door very early. When we went out for a walk, he also thoughtfully prepared a map for us. The service of the older generation of Japanese is really amazing. There is a special room for breakfast and dinner, which tastes good. There is a private bath in the room. Open the window to the outdoor private bath. Hehe, there are several hot springs upstairs and downstairs. My wife took a bath three times a day and soaked in all the hot springs. Gero is not big, so it is suitable for a leisurely stroll for half a day, eating some snacks, returning to the hotel to taste food, watch the snow, and take a bath.
TTsiruotThis hot spring hotel is mostly occupied by Japanese people and there are very few foreign tourists. Everything is better than expected, and the package with two meals is very cost-effective. The room is in traditional Japanese style, very large and old but very clean. The hot spring pool has indoor and outdoor areas. When I went to soak in the outdoor area at 4 pm on the first day, I was the only one there and the environment was very good. When checking in, the front desk will let you choose the dining time. The buffet is divided into three time periods. I chose the earliest time period. It was basically full every time, and there were a lot of delicious food. According to the comments, there is a free shuttle every half an hour, but in fact, the shuttle needs to be booked in advance and is not free. I walked to the hotel because I didn't wait for the shuttle. People with a lot of luggage are advised to take a taxi or leave the large luggage at the station because the second half of the walk to the hotel is uphill and it is tiring to drag the suitcase.
WWilliamW1999In fact, it is actually the other hall of Yating. There are 8 rooms in total, each with a private soup pool. When checkingin, there is an exclusive butler to guide all the way. 2.7 points are absolutely not allowed. Dinner is also very good.
